League organizers have the say but lets see what most players think. My reasoning for why we should consider allowing B- is that they add better practice partners and add more players. Also I think DRTL has a lot of stagnating C- players who don't want to practice very much so that they can graduate into CRTL. CRTL can circumnavigate this issue of a relatively lower number of C- players in the league by making room for B- players. If we included B- players we wouldn't have to pressure the higher level DRTL players (who just want to stagnate at the top of their weight class) into improving so that they could be at the bottom of the CRTL pecking order. Obviously this means that the C- players who do sign up for CRTL and the C rank players of CRTL will be relatively worse, but honestly, I'd probably rather have these players as practice partners since they've made the concious choice to put themselves in a harder league with stronger competition. I fear if you make a lot of DRTL C- players graduate to CRTL, they would get an e-peen loss and view their situation as hopeless (since they would immediately go from being the ace of their team to the worst player on their team), and then they simply wouldn't participate and would probably bitch in the DRTL thread until they were let back into DRTL. | ||
