A: While a segregated community can be good in some cases in terms of viewership given that an entirely different play style can be seen from one community to the next, it is not seen as advantageous in the case of Brood War given the low volume of players. It's unfortunate that we don't have the means to bring them to smaller LANs, but it's still fair for them to play. Note though, that these players have to be lag free at their end.

I just wanted to ask if you calculated how much money will you spend on organizing everything (besides prize pools)? This includes: - Plane tickets for all qualified players/organizers - Renting a revenue - Setting up a stage - Hiring people to set up a stage / computers / network access - Accommodation for all players/organizers - Everything else that I might've missed

Q: Plane tickets for all qualified players/organizers A: Grand total travel cost may come out to ~ 3500 Q: Renting a revenue A: Venue for two and a half days probably ~ 3000 Q: Setting up a stage A: PC rentals, broadcast equipment ~ 2000 Q: Hiring people to set up a stage / computers / network access A: Included in venue rental (It'll be at a hotel's Ballroom) Q: Accommodation for all players/organizers A: Including all hotel rooms ~ 2500 Q: Everything else that I might've missed A: Food, misc expenses ~ 1500 Obviously, all of this is taking into account very quality accommodation, which I would not have my players stay in any less. (I also expect estimates to be high, though it's better over than under.)

So, some quick questions, which are really not troll-questions. Really. Really really. First, will qualifiers still receive the following: Top Qualifiers receive - Free Transport - Free 4-5 Star Accommodation - Free Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner - Free Gaming Seat As this was mentioned in the prior post. The prize pool initially reported was substantially larger than the 3600-dollar pool here (still really impressive) Prize Breakdown $18000 $6000 $3000 $1400 $600 $450 $200 And you gave your assurances that this money was already procured for the tournament. I understand you are going to host LANs in other locations, but if the prizepools for the following this LAN and the Moscow LAN combined would be about 14400 dollars, which is substantially lower than the original almost-40,000 dollar prize pool announced, which again, you said you already had available. What is the reason for the drop in prize money? Are you spending more [of the total] money on the venues, accommodations, etc.?

A: It's still there (Grand Finals) Not to mention the 3 other events aside from the grand final.
