maybe only the official Chinese broadcast right are not settled, some problem from the blizzard side since the Chinese side had already obtained the right from ogn

On September 07 2012 19:39 jaQi wrote: BTW does that mean PO have different rules? Didn't Fantasy played BW on day2 against Team8?
As far as I know, every set of playoffs is treated separately from the previous. So, if you play BW on day1, you play SC2 on day2, and BW on day3 again, and vice versa; and you can play either game in the finals regardless of playoffs matches.
SKT coach wanted Protoss against Zerg but got unfavorable TvZ and soO will lose this one. soO needs to all-in Zergling rush or it would be painful long loss.
wow leta that was terrible... i mean soo had good defense but you killed 1 drone and 1 hydra with your proxy fac... then got contained and killed no lurkers
So we have Skyhigh, CJ's best playoff player in the history of our team, playing a very good BW season and the coach decides its not smart to send him out?
Sun is definately playing today as yesterday after GSL in his interview he said "if I fail in PL tommorow I'm going to feel shame (or something along those lines). Since he's been doing really well individually and now he feels pressure to do well for his team too.

Bisu vs?
No idea but putting Bisu in SC II over BW is dumb, even with his win streak he is still a lot better at BW and was likely for 3 set of BW.
Maybe btw Skyhigh vs Bisu was for BW set 3? But it didn't get to it.
If they put bisu for BW that means they have neither Bisu nor Fantasy for BW next match so how is it dumb?
My guess is they put the strongest players in their strongest matchups / games on day1, knowing that if they lose day 2 they still have the last day to play their stars at their best once more. Besides, Best + Sun isn't a bad pair at all for the day 2 BW set.
oh man i was gonna say if hero warpped in 1 sentry on the top of the ramp it would have been god like but he caught the collosis coming out so its all good
I'd say this was SKT1's better lineup. Next time Fantasy and Bisu have to play SC2 while By.Sun has to play BW. Okay, Fantasy seems really good in SC2 but Bisu's shape is still pretty unknown.

hard to say considering Rain is a good BW player too while hero[join] is just abysmal in BW
This is all mind games yo. SKT will now prepare snipe builds against hero then Skyhigh will tear everyone apart in Day 2. Not the best series, but I enjoyed the snipe builds.
CJ won 3:2 and this is a playoff game, the format is plain awful and I am not talking about the game mixing. Its just ridiculous to be able to win playoff with so few games. Should have let them play all 3 games in BW and SC2 maybe with starting SC2 so if it is 4:0 to be 3 sc2 games and 1 bw but this is just bad.

No, it's on Sunday. They moved the playoffs around (people thought that today's matches would take place tomorrow) but due to the Azubu LoL The Champions Summer Finals tomorrow, the first day of the playoffs had to be moved to today.
God that was so stupid. I hate SC2 PvP. Why send sun when they know it's gonna be a coinflip. Fantasy would have been a better choice or Soo. I blame the coaching on this one.

Rain got you to playoffs, remember?
Yeah, but when you have another player doing well in the OS2L then you can count on sending him too. Sun has played in 3 tournaments in the past 2 days. He is overwhelmed.

Exactly. I've been saying this is going to happen for weeks if the players end up having to play everything. This time it's only hit Sun the hardest, but I hope it's obvious now that the scheduling difficulties Kespa cited are real and not some made up PR bullshit.
Sun has never played an individual league before in his life, and now he's got to play two at the same time days before a playoff match AND be an ace for a team like T1 in said playoffs. Obviously he's not going to be in the same mindset as when SPL was his life and he was scoring clutch wins for the team.
Sun right now is like Flash before lol(though not really close). There'll be a point where he'll just drop the ball on all the leagues he's in and slump a little, until he gets some break he deserves. Too bad it's already the most crucial part of the season. SKT's post-season run depends on how much Sun could keep up before breaking down.

Last year, day 2, KT vs. CJ. Finished 4th overall that season. THREAD
Was that the match where Leta scored a HUGE mine on Stats' probes? I should probably check it out later...
But yeah, long gone are the days when SPL meant everything to both Korean and foreign eSports fans. Last year was already part of the steep decline and we still hit 100+ pages. How many are we getting on this one, even including the post-game posts (like this) - barely 14, 15 maybe?

Yeah, the ESF really screwed him on this with the GSL thing. I spentn no time argueing this but it clearly shows. I'm very happy Sun did well in the GSL but proLeague has been a staple fo Kespa. They shouldn't have made any players involved in the playoffs participate if they didn't want to. But I still blame the coaches of SKT for their lineups and sending him as ACE. CJ has had weeks to prepare for this.

EffOrt could have been chosen as ace for CJ too so I'm not sure if it would have been a better choice.

Not after what happened against Team 8. They send P and Sun loses. They know that's their best bet right now is making the odds 50:50. And I'm not convinced Effort is better then Fantasy.

Well, they should have scrapped the rule of playing StarCraft 2 mandatorilly after playing BW to attract more viewers.

They should have scrapped sc2 entirely and gone the proper pl bw route

hear, hear. Last SPL finals (Khan vs. SKT) and the OSL finals between Jangbi and Fantasy proved that the game still had potential both to attract viewers and to produce games of amazing quality. Even the semi-finals (jangbi v zero, flash v fantasy) were out of this world. I've watched some recommended games on the GOM site and it's not even close to BW spl 2008, much less today.
On topic - Effort & Leta pull yourselves together. Not the friggin time to be falling apart! Bonjwa Skyhigh tearing it up at least haha :D

Day2 is tonight (the 9th) at 1300KST, 0600CEST, 0000EDT, 0900PDT! Will actually be awake to watch this one! And according to the KeSPA website, the 3rd day of SKTvsCJ (if needed, fingers crossed) will be on the 11th, 1600KST (0900CEST 0300EDT, 0000PDT). edit: actually when I log into my account, that's when a bunch of events disappear from my calendar. Any ideas why this is/how I can fix it???
Pathetic performance by SKT in SC II this time with losing two games in a row preparing for long macro games . Bisu and Fantasy are the type of big guns that can concentrate during important games so they should play on day 2 and show how it's done.
