-Signups start now. Group stages will be posted and the tournament will officially start on July 28th 17:00 GMT (+00:00) @ channel op DRIT the Ro16 will start on August 4th 17:00 GMT (+00:00). Players have a week to complete and submit their games.
Group stages will use an ODT style format. Games up to Ro8 will be bo3. Semi and Grand Finals will both be bo5. Players will have a week between each stage to complete and send in their replays
All players must play with the account they signed up with.
Race pickers are allowed, but they must choose one matchup for each race (i.e. Tvz, PvT, ZvT) Before the start of the tournament. (random is not allowed).
People caught smurfing will be Fired. From a cannon. Into the Sun dealt with accordingly.
Observers are allowed if both players agree.
In the event of lag, you can try and play your games via Hamachi/Gameranger or a similar service.
Standard ICCUP rules apply.
Any situation arising will be reviewed case by case by admins.
Winner sends all replays of his games played to cobbybb@gmail.com
Replays must be sent in before the next stage begins. If you cannot get in contact with your opponent contact the tournament organizer via PM.

If (WHEN) this league reaches the 6-7th season and we have a consistent group of returning players we should def try and make things more intersting.. But for it might be better to keep it simple lol

I don't want to cause drama but I think you should be forfeiting your spot seeing as you had to cancel out of the last 2 tournaments ._.
I disagree for the sole reason that, had the tournament not been postponed randomly, I would have been in Finals. By that logic, Arca should probably have to forfeit his spot because he was the first that couldn't make it to a scheduled match. Somehow he got a postponement of the entire event though.

I agree with this post but Im kinda getting interested in the idea of seeding (not the selection show which would be borderline impossible in a league like this) because of the number interested this season. Last season it didnt hit 32, but this season we're well over that already. So, if we get enough players maybe we could put a few in the Ro24, or the Ro16 ahead of the others. Its an idea that Cobalt has the decide on because he's league commissioner this season. So dont complain if its not the one you like.

There seems to be an amount of confusion about some stuff here so allow me clarify. Group stages will be posted on or before July 28th at the listed time and players will have 1 week to complete their games and submit their replays. At the end of that time I'll post the next round etc. It doesn't make sense that you can't play because of time unless you are going on a one week no computer vacation during the tournament schedule.
The reason the full schedule isn't posted is because I don't know how many rounds were going to play yet. I originally hadn't intended to do any seeding but I'll take it under consideration as it looks like we're approaching being able to run a Ro24.

I hit C over a year ago, but then I stopped playing for ~8 months. Most recently I have been playing at probably high D+/Low C- level (though I haven't actually been able to hold onto it). I won the previous DRIT that's why I figure I could help.

Ahhhhhh that explains why entered into the Rush Week college BW tournament. Is he out of the DRTL as well? If so I wish him luck and I hope somebody sets a C-Rank Tournament soon.

You don't even have to play on July 28th at all that's just when the round starts. You have one week to contact your opponent and complete your games.

The only difference is that i play ladder a lot, so with 60-69 stats, and games vs D ranks i somehow hit C-. It's not like i can easily beat any of D+ and equally play vs C-.I can't understand, why people can't understand such a simple thing by themselves.

I tried to understand that one but I still have problems figuring out what you actually mean. Yes, there are ways to alter the link text, just like the [url] bb-code does. This however is a lot of work, especially when it comes to the infoboxes. It doesn't matter much for this tournament, as it won't be listed as high tier foreign tournament unlike your Gambit's Cup for example. Anyhow, this isn't really the place, so I suggest you'd share your opinions about that on talk pages or policy discussions, before we spam too much.

I don't see why there's so much whining over C- either. High level D+ players make for the most entertaining games in this toruney, and should be an encouragement to practice harder to beat them. Fact is, the players ARE D+. Period.
Also Essbee and Babo goodluck in the SRW! I think there's some other playing in this tourney as well too.

This brings up another good point; ladder gives you random opponents (relatively, depends on the hours I guess). So that means that one person can go 0-10 and the other 10-0 on ladder but the 0-10 beat the 10-0. A good example is when I went 14-0 in the last 2 weeks of last season, but this season....
I know my opponents aren't random, but the point is made - there are players like the above playing at D ranks, and players that are really E but didn't fall down low enough yet.

[/QUOTE] I'd like to point out that this is inaccurate. uround actually has not won more random ladder games than he has lost. it is so easy to advance up the lower part of the rank ladder. i mean im at like 1350ish with a horrible win rate (something like 15-31) and theres tons of high d+ player with a worse win rate then me. i doubt i can compete with d+ players with good win ratios but i have no doubt that i and anyone else here can get 3001 ez

Oh also Cobalt since I am gonna re-vitalize my stream ID and stream would like to extent my hand in not only casting but also in amangement of group stages or w/e else you might need help with. I know I am not the most liked person for clearly misunderstood reasons in DRTL S2 when all I did was get the games,issues, and lineups set for ued academy. I didnt say "Flash wins" i said "Fantasy wins" I never speak during game cause it could distract player so it was written in op drit channel right after ur game finished It was after ur game with Essbee and i called him Fantasy cause of amazing vulture herrasment he did in that game ( me and other guy obsing it just came up with that name during game)
During ur game with Kal_ra me and Essbee talked in ac but noone called this match as Flash vs Bisu Right after that match the only thing i said was " i cant believe u came back from this"

Think of it like this. The tournament proper will start tomorrow when I post the brackets. You will always have one week to complete the matches. I keep saying this but no one seems to get it lol.

I'm not sure what's going on with Shimmy right now. When we know who is going to be playing in the semis and the final we can discuss scheduling at a time for you to do a live cast. As long as you're not playing in them of course ^_^

At this point i think if a showmatch is going down it would be beetwen you and Psyonic reaver. Makes sense to me. I would like to cast it so if you tell me in advance maps format and most importantly date i can also add it in the calender.
