It looks fine, thanks for doing this, and hoping for Sea and Soulkey to advance, expecting Soulkey and Shine to advance. Sea has looked terrible recently, and Last is weak tvz.

I think this group will give further data for the question: Is Ground Zero T > Zerg? Or is Ground Zero T >>>>>>>>>>> Zerg?
Hopefully Soulkey can show that a top in-form zerg can overcome map imba. Otherwise this would be a depressing map choice by OGN for perhaps the last BW OSL.

You don't have to copy anything when you make the OP, you type it in and highlight sections, then press the TLPD button, that way it doesn't do the entire post and mess it up

No, the point is to show that TLPD is flexible, and that you don't have to TLPD the whole post to get names/maps highlighted. This is useful for people who write long posts and want TLPD names to show up.

i think you are epic troll. Tastosis is the worst commentary ever. BW w/o korean commentary is like sex w/o orgasm. Patching BW would make it so much more unbalanced. Tweaking one unit changes the entire race.

I'm sorry, you must have the wrong forum, this is BROOD WAR
Soulkey repels the attack with surround but take considerable casualty. Reinforcements getting cut off by three lurkers as defiler mound is being built, this is so tense!
questionable move there, Isnt it better to morph his lurkers above to be safe from tanks and to save time - lurkers also travel faster than hydras unless he used it to block, which is not apparent
Rushed home as soon as I could Good, still on Sea vs Soulkey Sea has tanks + MnM containing Soulkey's 1 oclock Soulkey's nat is protected by only two lurkers and swarm 129-73 supply Sea leading
Drop into Soulkey's 1 oclock! 8 marines might be able to deal some damage, but no lings manage to clean up Dropship flies straight into scourge, single medic lives but proceeds to die Sea running marines through the two lurkers, but its no effective
Swarm, and lurkerling Sea's tanks get wrecked and the bio is forced back Ebay is still upgrading 112-89 Sea favored 3 naked lurkers, without derilers at the 1 oclock
Two dropships out for Sea now, 16 marines maybe? Double drop looks like its going to go for the 1 clock No way of Soulkey to know about this! Lurkers and a well placed sunken get most of the marines, the drop isn't that effective
Four dropships out for Sea! A second double drop for Sea in the 1 oclock 109-102 supply Sea favored Swarm on the lurkers, and the MnM is forced back GG from Sea

was he just irked his drops weren't working? did he just figure soulkey is unstoppable on 4base with swarm? why not try a 4th of his own? what the hell
So I pretty much missed what happened the minute before the GG. Can someone explain me what the hell happened? It really wasnt looking like an ending game when my stream went off.

Sea reinfforced the drop with 2 new Dropships, a big fight about the 2nd main that Soulkey came ahead out, then Sea just gged for no real reason.
Maybe Sea figured that he had invested too much cash into drops (he had made at least 6 dropships and was possibly building more), which were rather easily negated, and therefore was too far behind? Still, as we saw yesterday, 4 bases for a zerg isn't enough if the terran expands a lot behind the mid game push into a contain...
Well we saw it in PL. Coach Han has to step-in and give him reassurance.
This is not the Sea we know. Very, very dark times for him and I thought the game against Action was low.
SK really shined in PL last season, but his play looked really suspect and that Sea was in the running throughout. Nice mutalisk harass by SK when he got them up. Good dissection, but still Sea could have managed to swing that one.
on the topic of sea... well, T8 has been so disappointing this ODT, hard not to blame the practice environment and all the conditions that led to their failing to meet expectations during the season as well
On April 29 2012 13:33 Le French wrote: If there is Fantasy and Flash gg timing, now there is Sea gg timing, Sea is the only terran who will gg in an advantageous position.
To be honest Sea wasn't in advantageous position. Only down to one base, Z with four base intact while not even having started to prepare for mech switch.
That's fine, the ODT weeds out the underperformers (Jaedong) and the players with no will to be pushed to win anymore (Sea) and the players who clearly haven't been practicing at all for the ODT (Baby).
This is my first time watching BW and I have to say its pretty entertaining. The korean casters are so good. I just wish I knew about strategies in this game.

Hard to blame that on SC2, control seemed so much better than yesterday, but what with the strategy, contain both the nat and 4th while double dropping the 3rd into gg?

Yea, i agree. i dont think it was enough to gg, just pointing that out, since it was only showed it for a second on the replay.
Shine going for 9 pool speed, but Last scouts it out 4 scvs and two marines behind them Pumping lings Shine gonna all in? 2nd rax is up now for Last, after some delays because of a drone killing it off No no all in from Shine, not yet atleast, nat planted down for him

Last moving off his ramp, with lots of marines, and the academy is out, Scouts it upgrading something Bunker being made at the nat for Last Two sunkens in the making at Shine's nat
Firebat get sniped by some awesome lings MnM bust, but both suunkens still live, Shine's lings are really awesome Last has nothing at home! GG from Last, as he has nothing to defend the incoming ling all ing SHINE <3

i didn't think it could get worse than the average quality of games this SPL but i was so so wrong. i am amazed every time at how bad one (or both) player(s) fail(s)
Fuck, no one knows if the new SPL will be even successful, or even last a full season. I bet in addition to what we already know, all these players are a little paranoid about their employment. Especially T8 players.
That had nothing to do with practice. Practice is good for mechanics, that was just fucking dumb. You don't need to practice ten hours a day to know not to engage in that situation.

Last practically threw away that game =.=
Fine with me, Mini (not Hyvaa) will carry STX's name to the OSL goooooooooooooold!
I think last went for it because he thought shine droned and only had lings near his own nat. It's the only reason i could see him attacking. Running back in after losing most marines was pretty bad though...

Sea looked dumbfoundedly slow in his game.
and I question the two raxes building units at the flick of the fingers for Last.
They look slow and sluggish in their reactions and mechanics.
Huge ling battle in Shine's nat All of Shine's lings are dead Mutas are out for Shine The mutas will push back the lings, but Soulkey's own air is on the way
Shine trying to fight Soulkey over a spore, never a good idea Three lings run into Shine's mineral line, manages to get a droen for all three Hive tech? <3
+1 attack for Shine's mutas Nothing for Soulkey's Shine deciding its safe to expand to his nat Holy crap its only been 10 minutes into this game, thought it would've been more
Both players eat scourge, trade volleys But It seems now that Shine is pulling back Soulkey scouts out the expo with a single scourge He himself is expanding now
Nat is up for Shine now, not sure about Soulkey Still no upgrades for Soulkey's air Lots of scourge dying on both sides Shine loses an overlord 31/34 now Drones at the nat are dying to mutas Shine's drones
Two lings from Soulkey, trying to sneak their way into Shine's mineral line Two gas advantage for Shine, Soulkey only now adding his second extractor Spawning pool getting attacked by the two ninja lings, but get killed off, the lings
Final battle? Looks like it Shine not letting up his aggression, taking as many volleys as possible No mining at Soulkey's nat GG from Soulkey as his last muta falls! Shine through 2-0!
almost looked like he would lose it but yeah, finally managed to pull it off. Impressive play by both. Really liked SK's aggression even though his count was almost behind throughout the entire game.

It was like 103 to 109 or 6. Something like that and he did lose a dozen scvs to lurkers.
Nothing he was throwing at SK would work due to his sloppiness hence the gg after the last drop failed. He assessed SK's army and called it quits.
Zero confidence just like we saw in the Action game. He's thrown in the towel.
Cam,
Sk just managed to pull ahead. I think Sea thought he was at a huge deficit after getting his drops creamed and SK cleaning up the two fronts at his nat and 3rd.

Vultures are going to focus down the depot 5 for Sea 4 for Last Sea pulls out with his vultures for the time being Tank out for Last, academy coming up Spider mines are done Sea taking his natural as second expo
Last taking 1 oclock main as a 5th expo Attempted vulture run by into Sea's main no go for them 179-187 Both players with about equal resources ~1200 minerals and ~ 500 gas
Sea's few tanks trying to take 3 oclock fall Last pushing towards Sea's nat But Sea is making a big push mid map Lots of naked tanks Last gets pushed back from Sea's main area and is forced to bring units back to try and hokld Last tries to take 6 oclock away from Sea, but those tropos get intercepted 144-144
7 main is up and soon to be running well for Sea Last going to switch it up into mass wraith in a bit? 173-154 Sea leading supply 3 oclock is also up for Sea
Sea looks to want to push into Last's lines now Last wants to push down into 3 oclock it seems 9 oclock is Sea's now Still 3k minerals in the bank for Last
3 port for Last, while Sea only on one Dropships being produced out of them Huge drop into 7 oclock Tank/goliath And cloak wraiths to help out the drop it seems, to tank turret shots The drop is still alive 134-171 Last favored
So tired >< 2-2 for Sea's upgrades Another large drop, this time Trying to drop on the 3 oclock Troops inside of 7 oclock finally get cleaned up 3 ocolck looks like its going to get breached The scvs get pulled off and mostly die 6300 minerals banked for Last
7 oclock is going to come under fire Dropship play is wrecking Sea But he just came out with a ton of wraiths out of no where and took out a good number or tanks 1-1 for Sea's air
All of the scvs at the 7 mineral only are oging to fall Most I should say 159-166 supply Last inthe lead Last just going to go all out at the 7 oclock 4 valks manage to deal quit ea bit of damage to the wraiths, but the all fall 134-144
Drop on the high ground above the main Last's main army behind that Starports getting shelled The dropships finally fall 153-156 close in supply count But Last can afford to lose most of this army

Sometimes retirement may not be the worst thing. Of course I don't want him to retire but if he finds no joy left in progaming, it's better to move on than to slowly get the life sucked out of him. Sea used to derive so much joy from representing his team, I don't see that anymore.
Never mind Sea starcraft 2 is always there to play even though you fought well in this game and lost the game . I hope sc2 fans are really happy with the things are right now . Damn sponsors who forced our pro players in to this kind of situation it's really making me mad and happy at the same time .

I feel like it went down hill for him after light left MBC, just a personal feeling, it was really unexpected and that affected most of the players on MBC. I think Sea took it personally.

if i remember correctly the game that upset him the most this past SPL was actually a win. in the interview they asked him something like "you won, but you played so badly. what gives" and he started crying. maybe against great?
yes it was against great on the very same map.
I'll feel really sad if sea decides to retire or something after this....T_T

I feel like it went down hill for him after light left MBC, just a personal feeling, it was really unexpected that affected most of the players on MBC. I think Sea took it personally.
The players were certainly unhappy about Light's departure but they were also looking forward to the new season as a team. Team morale was still good... until MBC decided to dump them.
??????????? someone was looking for last to advance over soulkey? If it's last over shine at least I can understand
I wanted Last to advance for multiple reasons, first and foremost to give value to sea's hard fought loss, secondly because SK looks arrogant all the time and finally because a lot of people seem to think that he is the substitute to be of the one and only.

Soulkey never looked arrogant as far as I know, he's been a zerg contender for the last 2-3 years but never took off like zero did last year and always played second fiddle on Stars. This season he's been absolutely solid, it would be a shame if he didn't advance.
Nice, still a number of people I like and can root for. Hopefully the games will get more exciting as we progress through the tournament.
I sure hope no one puts any combination of Stork / Fantasy / Flash / Jangbi/ Soulkey / mini in the same group, it's so hard to root against any of them and would be a shame if any of them get knocked out early and players like Shine or Hyvaa make it further in easier groups >_>
Knowing the personality of Fantasy / Jangbi though... Oh god. Fantasy is so going to put Flash in his group.

No, that's the old selection format. At the last two OSLs, groups were formed using the lottery system. The 4 seeds take turns drawing player names from a bowl, the OSL winner determines the order in which the seeds draw players.

yeah well suddenly the worst thing happens and soulkey and zero end up in the same group....because this starleague has been a bitch so far.
Even worse things could happen- Jangbi, Stork and Flash in one group. But realistically I think Soulkey has a better chance of winning/making the final than Zero.

No Bisu no interest ehh ^^?
50% that, the other 50% is because there's no Protoss game this week. Basically I don't watch terran and zerg games since doing so won't improve my skill.

Yeah i get that. I felt the same way after Khan lost and didn't feel like Proleague finals. But i sucked it up and was duly rewarded with an awesome series.
I like it when Shine just makes obvious logical choices like making units and defense and ends up winning really easily. And Soulkey better not end up fighting Zero or I'm gonna punch a hole through the wall.

I think Shine's +1 attack was the deciding factor in the last battle.

Team 8 falters again. I hope they all switch to SC2 soon and get picked up by some great team and start doing well. I can't stand seeing JD/Sea & co like this. ;/

Fuck Shine, Last and Sea deserved the spot much more.
Compelling argument. Though I would suggest that winning is more important than your tears.

LOL
I havent seen this group's games but I do really like Shine so I enjoyed that. :D
People are just mad @ shine because of his logical decisions. He doesn't pull off those fancy, shmancy moves and focus on the key point of the game. See incoming attack coming, make dem Sunkens! Find a hole in the opponent's defense, capitalize on it!

But his ZvZ is genuinely good in that regards.
He isn't even hated in korea, they hailed him as neo-july / yellow at some point cus of his aggressiveness
It's weird why everybody loved kwanro but hated shine

Pro gamers are playing more SC2 than Brood War these days.
Which is kind of good anyway hope to see their performance in sc2 is better than the results they are posting in broodwar . Looking at how things are they might as well spare us the pitiful quality that they are posting in current osl games and play sc2 immediately . I mean seriously why bother play both games when they already have in mind to switch to sc2 .

Sea should get some professional help, like sport psychologist, he basically gave up in both games. He had them both won, and several times i would say. It was mental breakdown.

Something's going on in the Team 8 house. NONE of their best players got into OSL (baby, jaedong, sea).

Or they could be playing too much SC2.
SC2 or not, I'd have expected Jaedong and Sea to at least have been able to win one game between the two of them.
Anyway, Team 8 just moved to another hostel so hopefully better practice conditions will help them. They still need more (or better) coaches though, one coach for 10 players isn't going to cut it, no matter what game they're playing.

No they didn't. In order to advance you have to win your spot. Last and Sea didn't. -_-

Sea hasn't been a good player for a long time.
But you are right, he is very weak mentally which is really a pity. You can see his nervousness on his face when he plays. Maybe he should just take a pill before playing or something. I mean sseriously, beta blocker, whatever, something. Or see a psychologist.
