Okay so; due to a combination of midterms, getting called into work randomly, some teams already mentioning they don't have full line-ups for this week, and the insanely last minute release of maps and line-ups this weeks (March 24th) matches will be postponed one week.

The first round will begin exactly one week later than initially scheduled (due to late draft) on Saturday Match 10th as opposed to this Saturday, Match 3rd.
When? The league starts on Saturday, Mar 10 8:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)and takes place on every Saturday following that. It will conclude on Saturday, May 26 8:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) followed by a four week Proleague style playoff.
Where? Iccup Channel: op CRTL
Format: Teams will play one bo7Bo5 each week with lineups submitted by Friday night. A different player must be sent for each of the five maps, with the exception of reusing an ace player for the 7th set. The selected players will play a bo1 to decide the outcome for that map.First to four sets won wins the match however you may play out all the games if players would like. Teams must use each player at least THREE (3) times over the course of the season.
Rules: If you have an issue during match time please contact L_Master (TL)/sGs.LMaster (ICCUP)/luciditymasters (skype) to resolve it.
No BMing
*Team captain* sends replays in a zip folder to lucidity_master@yahoo.com following the matches. Have your shit together for this, if you're the captain have your players skype's or use repdepot.net to get them from your players.
Failure to send the complete set of replays by the end of the Saturday of the matches will result in a loss for your team. No Exceptions.
Standard ICCUP rules apply
No excessive chatting, ie do not be distracting during the middle of the game. Obs are allowed, but may only use allied chat. Obs that fail to do this will result in a loss for their team.
If two players are race pickers they must announce their races before joining the game.
Players need to identify which team they are playing with in their profile during match time. It is preferred if you create an ICCup account containing your team name, but is not mandatory
Players must play using the ID they used to sign up.
Games must be played on the maps listed in the schedule.
Maps must come from the latest ICCUP mappack.
If a player disconnects in the first three minutes then a regame will be granted. If the same player disconnects again they will be d/q. Any disconnect after three minutes will be reviewed by L_Master unless one of the players willingly forfeits.
This is the C Ranks Teamleague, you guys are more active and established players. As such, a player may miss a maximum of 2 rounds unannounced. A player may fail to show 5 times IF he contacts myself AND his captain before the match.
Caveat to the above rule: If the player misses more than 3 rounds (even announced) his team can opt to have him removed .

Yes. Your team captain does not have to be (but can be) a player. Obviously if the captain does not meet the rank requirements he/she cannot be fielded in the line-up.

#2 If that's "bmk.Quirinus" it's showing he was B rank 1v1 one season. I am guessing that's someone else... but just making sure because it's too annoying to keep quiet if a B rank is trying to smurf in.

Well I went 5:0 in DRTL (oh and I was completely drunk every game due to being after a Saturday night ) and I could probably make C- if I actually laddered properly, still got to 2900pts and 2 rax Firebat vs D+ KR Toss ftw!.
I'm also a better tourney player than ladder player. After my last run DRTL probably wouldn't accept me anymore anyway lulz (plus its at 5am T_T).
I was thinking I'd sign up and quickly ladder to C-, but it looks like this tourney is at 5:00am as well T_T. Why do you hate Australia so much?

The obvious prevention is a draft. I'm pretty sure most if not all of the people in the arranged teams would still play even if they were not on the same team. Krndandaman's compromise seemed the most logical thus far with the "core" set of arranged players and others drafted.

Hmm, not sure how I want to handle this. One way is cap the number of C/C+ players on the team, but that breaks up some people that might want to play together. Another possibility is allowing people to have small groups of 2-3 forming a core, and then drafting from there.

It's obviously not C+ people that are the problem. It's an entire team of C+ players that is. It gives too many teams essentially zero chance to be competitive, and let's be honest: the league is significantly more fun if you have a chance to be competitive, make the playoffs, etc. Allowing teams to form where all the C+ guys get together removes that element.
Although I don't think it will be an issue, if preventing the formation of fully arranged, extremely stacked teams is enough of a reason for you to not want to play I can live with that. I'd much rather have a league that is overall relatively even and fun for everyone than making a few people happy by allowing super teams.
It may just be a straight draft. I am open to suggestions.
The problem here is that good times for Australia tend to be in conflict with EU/NA (one or the other) and quite frankly there are more EU/NA than Australia.
However, I'd hate to see a bunch of people get the shaft so I am considering allowing people from Australia to play their match ahead of time as set 1. It would then fall to the managers for each team to have set that match up ahead of time and have figured out an agreed upon playtime.
Just a suggestion: if that one team isn't allowed to be formed(I honestly can see why it shouldn't be formed), then what you guys should do is assign who you think are the "top" players and have them draft from a player pool. Then you can have however teams you want as long as there is someone filling that "top" player spot.

The whole idea of "colour" ranks teamleagues is flawed, because the ability strata don't fall along them all that well in reality. D- are beginners or mild casuals who have glaring flaws in their play, however since these problems are not that insurmountable they can and should be pitted against players who maintain D but are not quite able to get D+. D-/D teamleague. A player who consistently beats D's will get C- if he plays enough. D+/C- teamleague. The gap between C- and C is huge, dunno about C+ because chobo, but C/C+ teamleague makes sense to me.
Even if we have a yellow rank tournament and cap C+ people. A match between a C- and a C+ would be little fun for anyone. The situation would become like Jeadong OZ or KTFlash very coinflip i.e. dependant of who gets matched up with who. Of course if left as is it will be 2 KTs and 10 estros (apologies to any fans who are disagreeable with the analogy, hopefully in spite of your discontent you will get the point), which is worse.

Trying to decide to what extent I agree. I guess I'm curious as to why you feel there is a big gap between C- and C? Is it just drastically harder to beat C- players than it is to beat D+ players? If that's true then it also sounds like there is a big gap between D+ and C-.

He will get D+. Whether he can get C- depends on his abilities to beat other D+ players on a regular basis. There is a respectable difference between a player who cannot get out of D and one that can touch D+, which makes it noticeable harder to beat D+ players as opposed to D.
I guess I'm not convinced that any one rank has a harder gap than one preceding it except for ones that result in a change in color as then it becomes harder to maintain/advance rank due to the W/L points differences. Where I think the differences really exist is in where you stand within a rank. Can you touch C-? Hold C-? Touch C?

Good question. I think in order to reach C-, you have to sort of know what you're doing, but you don't really need to know exactly what you're doing. In a sense, you're bullshitting your BO. This changes when players get to C and C+. At the C+ level, players are able to adapt based on what they scout much better than compared to C and C-. C+ players have a better sense of timing. As to why there's a big gap between C and C+ even though the amount of points you gain is the same... I really don't know how to answer that. Maybe the current C players are all pretty consistent and dont make as many stupid mistakes, and in order to hit C+ with a decent record, you need to be quite a bit better than them?? That's my theory. My opinion.
I tend to agree that there should be a draft of all players rather than letting some people set up teams and others not, that kinda doesn't make any sense to me, no offense. It's not like I think that team is unbeatable at all, I'm sure they could get all killed easily, but the point is will it be fun for the viewers?

I feel that way, because I think C- is too easy to get. Assuming motw for a D+ player 130 for win and -50 for defeat means getting C- even with a ~40% winrate against D+. Even lower throwing in a random win against a C- guy. One cannot even dent a C player with that kind of ability. Now getting C is completely different. To at least touch it hosting 1v1 D+/C- motw you need ~75%+ winrate against D+ and ~50% winrate against C-, it is truly a level above.

This is more to do with the murky waters that are D levels. I've stated before somewhere that in the latter half of the season D+ is easier than D (damn you smurfs). With the huge points that can be got off "true" D+ players who are proud owners of a 100-200 record having 50%+ winrate against D inevitably gives you C- in no more than a hundred games.
In the end I blame iccup. In order to facilitate their complete resets they made getting out of D easy. They overdid it. C- should be harder to achieve. This is something known to me very personally, because the days when I was a true D player enjoying 35-50% winrates against my peers and then hitting C- like a wall are not far behind me. Reds don't like you any more, the ones that do are most likely not really red and yellows destroy you, it was horrible. I'd stop playing for the rest of the season or reset.
To clarify when I mention rank I mean "max" not "can hold", i.e. the aforementioned C- guy who got there with a 60% winrate against D, 40% winrate against D+ and <20% winrate against yellow things. Now imagine a game between him and a guy who goes toe to toe against C+...
The difference between D- and D+ is massively huge compared to C- and C+.
A C- player can take a game off a C+ player in a macro game, a D- will never beat a D+, actually there is a huge discrepancy in the C ranks which you don't get in the D's. You will often find some C- rank players who are really good, and some that are terrible.
Sometimes I will be consistently taking games off a C-/C player as a D+, and other times I get my ass kicked. I think its due to the fact that a lot of really good players simply can't be assed playing enough games to get to C, compared to some people who will mass ladder. Its almost the same situation in the D ranks where often you will play anyone between D- and B+, where as in D+ you can be certain that most of your games will be against a legit D+.

That is exactly what I thought. IMO the skill discrepancy between C- and C+ is much bigger then D- and D+, since D- is most likely someone who just got started and if you put in enough effort you can get to D+ pretty easy. But working your way up to C+ from C- needs much more then effort, it needs a lot of training and gamesense. Both (especially the first one ) cannot be taught by BOs or the strategy forums.

What makes you think a C- player will ever take a game off of a C+ player in a long macro game? This does not happen unless maybe if the C+ player starts off killing one or two of his workers...
I can assure you quirinus is definitely not in the C range if it's the same guy from croatia.

dsaqwe (LocDog) was my padawan for a while so we know each other and I let him play on my acc which was around C. He didn't want to play/grind D -> C, he just wanted to play vs decent people, so he got it to B. I can give you names of a score of my smurfs and they're all around C.
Besides, I barely play any BW at the moment.
I think I can play any race at C ish level if I get in shape again. Some matchups better than that.
I'm still thinking about playing or not, since I don't have much time atm. But I guess I'm playing for now.
If I recall correctly, real teams don't always get players trough draft, there are other means too.
As far as I know, you can get to C by doing stupid shit, but doing it well and consistently. (I tried it, you can get to Cish with mass scouts vs all races, and similar stuff) Above C you can't do that much stupid shit, and on top of that, you have to be a lot more "in the game" and practice more. ~B you now know what should be done pretty well, and are able to do it reasonably well (execution). ~A you know almost exactly what you're supposed to do and how to do it, and you generally do it very well.
There are variations like, player knows very well what he should do, but his execution is not good, then he can't reach let's say B, but he's better than all the Cs. Or a player that executes things well, but isn't that good with decision making and adapting, but his macro/micro/positioning is just so great that it pulls him out in the end.
At B- and above levels it's more about practice/thinking than it is about "talent". Generally almost all players there can get very very good, but only if they put in the hours. I don't think that can be said about people at lower ranks.

I met one guy doing some 2stargate scout build in C- last season. I could tell that he was a lot better than me, but sadly hydras>scouts and one can't be all cute with harassing when your nat is getting razed...

Huh... Regardless if he knows the difference between C- and C+, he can still say that C- has a better chance of taking games off of a C+ rank because at least a C- player can do basic things such as Hydra bust and ling allin. D- players can't even do these simple things, I've seen a D- player lose to D+ where the D- player attempted to hydra bust, it went unscouted and he failed to hydra bust against 1 cannon. So, returning to my main point, regardless if you know what the skill difference looks like in C ranks, you can say with certainty what I just said above because D- ranks will forget 5 of their first 20 probes, they'll get supply blocked at every corner and at this point, you have no econ, no army and your opponent can be maxed.
I offer 2 examples, when I first started playing on iCCup, I didn't even know a build order, I didn't know anything about what I was doing, I played zerg, got a bunch of ZvZs and I just built drones and at some point I would get raped by mutalisk... I was like how the fuck did he get so many muta, my spire just started... I would be supply blocked at 9 I would be supply blocked at 18. I mean, I just didn't know anything about BW, I didn't scout I didn't build overlords till it told me I was supply blocked... D-, never won a game.
Second example, at this point I'm D and I move into residence at the college, my roomates all play SC. So, I'm like... I'm pretty bad, but we can play. So I played the best of them and it was... Really the situation described above. I mean, ZvT, he did, bunker at his ramp, second bunker at his ramp, starport, 3 wraiths. At this point I ran in with about 5-10 ultralisk and killed him (which I understand doesn't make sense because anyone should know that they are supposed to go muta or lurkers in ZvZ, I didn't have confidence in my muta so I just stuck lurkers at my base - Obviously I was by no means good either, but his extreme lack of knowledge would cause him to lose every game).

Usually yea, but not necessarily.
PvZ you don't have to secure an advantage. Turns out scouts are pretty good to "muta micro" and snipe drones, overlords, scourge and even hydras. In fact, they're a lot more efficient at sniping scourge than mutas are. What you need is a narrow map with easily securable expos, ie. Destination. Just mass cannons and get upgrades and it's not that hard, scouts are really fast with the speed upgrade.
PvP it's harder, but if the opponent isn't that good you can win without securing a big advantage, but close to C it's very hard, so yea, I secured a decent advantage, and scouts are great at keeping and increasing it if you use them right. Sniping probes <3.
PvT it's a lot harder, you have to secure a good advantage or completely surprise the opponent.
But theoretically, you can constantly play vs 3000 pts guys that barely hit C- and get to C easily.
If you really want some replays I can search, I think I might have some saved, but most are probably gone.

Maybe it was me. I usually go fe and then scouts though, not 1 base. I generally avoid using HTs when going scouts vs zerg as it's almost cheating. So sometimes I lose to hydras in the mid-late game.

Draft style is probably best. I don't know who'll be captain, but going snake order is probably best (1st to last, last picks twice, back to first, first pick twice etc...)
Bo7 is a bit ambitious though, seeing how you'll need like 10 player teams to cover those who don't show up. I guess you need to see how many people sign up.

I'm in kinda of in a pinch, going 5:0 (and completely drunk at 3am T_T) makes me feel like I shouldn't be in DRTL, but I don't think I'm good enough for CRTL either lol.

Well, I did a small count and you guys have ~35 people or so? I'm not sure if getting some of the people from that list will solve your problems with turnout, sadly. I would've thought that there were more yellow ranks people on TL TT_TT

I haven't, and probably never will, understand "drama".
Drama sure seems to fall into the category of "it takes two to tango". I mean if one person comes on and tries to start shit, you only potentially have drama if the secondary party also joins in the fun. If not, then it just looks like player A is raging hard.
If you don't want the drama just don't get involved with it is the way I see it.

As far as GGzerG goes, I believe the concern is that he has a B- max rank iirc. Like has been done for the DRTL some people with yellow max ranks were still permitted to play as they hadn't played much/at all recently and clearly weren't capable of reaching that rank currently.
While they were allowed to play, assuming they had some evidence that their current condition was much worse than prior condition, those players were definitely watched carefully for essentially being "too good".

hmmm is the map pool still up for discussion cause I would really like to add a 3 player map in there and knock out one of those 2 player maps. Even though I don't like 3 player maps i think one should be added. If it was up to mean I would take out HBR and add in aztec or outlier.

Sorry, I can't allow you to play in this league because I don't believe your skill is C-/C/C+ for several reasons:
1) Your active which means your skill has not deteriorated 2) You have gotten to C with stats like 30-2, 25-5, 23-2 which obviously implies a skill much beyond C 3) Looking at your match history almost all of your games dropped are to players of C+ or better and you have a significant number of wins against B- or better players. This is not indicative of C rank skill, sure C/C+ players might take occasional games from B- players, but not on a regular basis
All of these point to your real skill level being at least B-, meaning this league is not for you. Sorry.

I can agree with this somewhat.
I am okay with switching one 2P map to a 3P map and will make polls in the OP for this. Like everything else they will close on January 31st.

So what? This is a team league after all. Not all maps must be absolutely balanced for all races. Few terrans get sent on Outlier in PL and still it produced many awesome games.

The point I was making is that he complains about one map being imba but suggests another that is also regarded as imba.

Destination is fantastic. Apparently alot of people disagree tho, and it could be the nostalgia in me speaking cause that's the map I grew up learning the basics of BW on.

I think desti is still good for p. Its really hard to take a third as terran and late game pushes are very weak. Also proxies are really good on it and proxies are imbalanced at C level. Only good on desti for t is map split. I would choose aztec over it in a second.

Yet current proleague maps are usually the most imbalanced, which is why they are never used in Individual leagues until they have stood the test of time (and most don't make it past 1 season anyway). Progamers practise 12 hours a day on 1 map per week so its ok to have new maps (and have 3 races to choose from), but when they have to learn 4 maps, the map pool is tiny and they are old maps (in OSL/MSL). And yet you still get D- rank builds working on Jade like 9 pool speed, and bunker rush vs 1 gate range, tank drops on ground zero, which should be "completely defendable" apparently by progamer standards in proleague.
Remember how everyone hated Pathfinder and Dreamliner, thats what happens when you put new maps into a pool where players don't have that much time to practise on. I kept mentioning Ground Zero was imbalanced for Tank drops and yet people were saying its easy to defend if your C rank, until Flash did 14cc into tank drop vs Stork and raped him.
Many maps that were phased out ages ago in proleague, were still in the individual leagues because they were balanced. Hell Tornado and Destination, were used in TSL2.

I think it would depend on what style you prefer. Playing beyond 2 base on Aztec is very difficult, your 3rd base has no gas and is quite far away and difficult to capture early, 4th base is equally difficult. While for Toss they can get 3rd and 4th quite easily due to the large ramp and Zealots are good for Toss. So basically you are going for a very vulture heavy style with very little muscle on a standard 2-1 timing. A smart Toss would know that you are going for a stronger 2 base timing in order to get your third which makes it even harder. My perception is its balanced for progamer level where Terran is a lot stronger and a solid 3 base style can take out infinite Protoss bases, no gas 3rd means Terran has to try a little harder and nerfs the 2-1 timing a bit, but at a lower level its going to be very Protoss favored I think.
Desti I can just great wall of china the map secure 4 bases with turrets and supply depots and gl hf Toss. It is quite tricky to get past the nat bridges initially though.

I made a mistake by typing Max instead of Current Rank and/or Current Max as my current is indeed C, I once hit C+ this season but try and find one that has it now. And yeah i was B- more than a year ago and I've not reached back to those skills, hence joining a C tournament with players I've faced on the ladder several times. Did not try and smurf my way in, I just wanted to play in a tourney as there are not many anymore. Sorry if I hurt anyones feelings.

Yes, this will be the case. I think the first match will be more fun (and more organizationally smooth) if people have had time to settle into their teams and figure out who is doing what as well as getting some practice in.

That was basically my thought process, especially in this league some of the organized teams (nOoNe im looking at you) were umm...a "wee" bit powerful. Plus no random teams means people can't yell at me for making bad teams. ^^

With the addition of Reclusive, our team actually will be quite literally overpowered, which is good, because then we can take on the other overpowered teams.

Yes, it does. When I changed the map pool to reflect Bo5 I was still thinking in ace match frame of mind and forget to change set 5 to a different map than set 1. Consequently there are two sets on FS, and I am not changing this back because it had been up for too long when I noticed and people may already have started preparing.
This IS my mistake though, and there won't be repeat maps in future pools.

This requires almost everyone on every team to show up, and this just isn't likely to happen. Having all kinds of walkovers deciding sets and matches isn't fun for anyone involved; therefore I chose Bo5.

Dude I don't give a shit about the lineup. You obviously don't understand my question. The map pool had jade and hbr. which were two maps i was training on. So without those map in the map pool then my training for nothing, even after we have a consensus vote on what map was finalize. Lineup is no concern to me since it is the captain’s job to put out which player play one what map and in what order.

Dude I don't give a shit about the lineup. You obviously don't understand my question. The map pool had jade and hbr. which were two maps i was training on. So without those map in the map pool then my training for nothing, even after we have a consensus vote on what map was finalize. Lineup is no concern to me since it is the captain’s job to put out which player play one what map and in what order.

The IsSuE, and the ReasoN why I chose to leave it up with captains, is personal scheduling. Lots of players have trouble committing that far in advance, Which has been a huge IsSuE for DRTL, and that creates it'S own set of problems. Now it'S Friday night and a player realizes he can't play and captains have to scramble to find someone to fill that vOid not to mention a person that was supposed to have to prepare for match-up XvY now suddenly finds he is playing XvX. That can be pretty frustrating.
Your the only person Who has posted strongly in favor of earlier lineups (this is NOT to say other people are against it, they just haven't voiced any opinion) and im not just going to change from just ONE person telling me to do otherwise, especially when the other Way has the potential to cause it'S own set of problems.
If many other people are in favor of earlier line-ups they are certainly more than welcome to voice their opinions, and if most people favor it I have absolutely ZerO qualms with changing line-up dates. It just needs to be understood this ups the level of CommItment required from all the players in the league (Which incidentally is the ReasoN I left it up to the coaches, as they likely know best how organized teams are and if their people can commit soon enough/consistently enough).

The map pool was NOT reduced. The only thing that changed is that obviously with 5 sets all maps can't be used so some maps are not used in a given week.
Nvm. My fault, not yours. The OP formatting got fucked up and the map change for week one also became displayed as the overall map pool. Rest assured the map pool HAS NOT changed from what it was set to March 1.

1. You need to learn how to suck up what everyone else says given your past 2. You need to expect some kind of bashing if you have bad history in the BW scene 3. You can't just expect people to stop bashing if you want it to stop.

In other words, he intentionally did a build no one does so that the practice was 99% meaningless, and wasted my time. On top of that, he BM after losing the game. He doesn't play much, but he's pretty good. I assure you, someone that plays as little as him would usually be D level. I know the way he thinks, his level of understanding, and it's beyond his mechanical skill, apm and rank. If he practiced regularly for some time he'd rape face left and right, that's why I suggested people to take him in their team. For that, he's a good team asset, as he'll help people improve.

Johny23, your attitude is ruining the league. This is supposed to be fun. Obviously, some teams will be a bit stronger overall. Just look at proleague. Any team can beat any other team on any given day if everything goes right and they get the best matchups for the specific players. I feel it's the same here and in the end this is just a fun league and it seems your just being immature cause you lost a game and thought you would go underrated in this league or something.

Come on man, shirtless commentary adds some manliness to it, no homo just manliness. since Glow wanted some feedback, I would say that he did fine though, though glow you should be better at quickly saying what happend (we got overpool vs 12hatch fx) and then quickly mention who has the BO advantage and then you can continue your train of thought or follow what happens in the game or talk about background of the players or just general analysis

I don't know if he should do this but if s2glow wants to make it more like the OGN observers, do this:
Use minimap to get to all the action. Your eyes should constantly be on this, so you don't miss any drops/proxies/expansions/armies moving across the map.
When following units moving around the map, always use your keyboard arrow keys to track them. If you see proleague casts they never scroll with their mouse. Lower the keyboard scrolling speed if you have to get it smoother.
Lower the mouse scrolling speed just incase you really really need to use.
If you see something building, click on it to let the viewers know what it is, even if it's really obvious to you.
During periods where nothing is really happening in the game, go check on how many gateways/barracks/hatcheries a player has or see if they are macroing. Other things you can check is where they have pylons/turrets/overlords/scouting lings/mines positioned.
Keep track of upgrades.
Only drag select things when you need to. In other words, don't randomly box select everything you see.

Some of this will be nice to think about for making my own casts "smoother/professional". Minimap awareness is something I'm trying to improve on as a caster myself (and heck it helps your BW play anyway) but it's worth noting OGN guys have it easy: they have a dedicated observer. It is MUCH harder to cast and obs well than it is to just obs.

Yes, i agree with you yaqoob. I played with anklebreak and since he played PvP for first week i thought he was going to play PvP for me too. But however, he played terran in the game and i totally sucked because i was practicing PvP two days in a row. No offence to anklebreak, but i think we should post races too for the line ups.

Actually, I did get "walked over". Quinirus messaged me saying that he hadn't practiced, ZvP was his worst matchup, and Jade his worst map, so he decided to take a walk over instead of play me. Hope I cleared things up. It was his right anyways because I wasn't able to come on at the proper time on Saturday and I only gave like 3 hours notice in advance that I couldn't make it lol

Alright, but let's put that aside. To manage the league, you have to keep track of 6 teams with 9 players each. That means you have to take into account the needs of 50+ people, and more if you count the managers. For you to insinuate that L_master is being irresponsible for the postponement is just absolutely astonishing.
I don't think its difficult to post maps more than 1-2 days before the actual matches to avoid lineup issues. League organizer only has to keep account of each team manager, players are the team manager's responsibility.
I mean its different when teams don't give a shit and don't send in their lineups and play their games when the organizer is doing his part, but I'm seriously impressed by the team managers managing to get together things on such short notice.
I really appreciate him running the league, and I know it can be hard, especially when you're busy. It shouldn't be that hard to keep a record, if you don't have any other way, just use an excel spreadsheet with the list of players. Maybe find someone who can help you with that?
Anyway, posting the lineups shouldn't be that hard too. Just post the lineups when both teams send you a mail.
I wanted to make a php script for automatic lineup publishing, but knowing me I might give up in the middle of the programming due to tediousness and lack of time. It is pretty straightforward to program it though. If any experienced programmer wants to give it a shot it should be really fast, plus I could lend a hand. It's definitely my mistake, and it's definitely irresponsible of me to have allowed that to occur. I'd argue it's a little more complex that what you made it out to be but I'm not going to bother with that because I am not here to make excuses. I was irresponsible about it, and that's my fault.
L_Master, your doing a lot of work and we all thank you for that. Thanks for starting this league in the first place and always being their to answer any questions/concerns we may have.
OP now updated to include the Match-Ups and Maps for all the remaining weeks.
Starting work on adding the standings/results as well as the week 3 lineup.

Can someone tell me what current and max rank of Miso from Noone's team is? Since I can't find his application here and I play vs him. I found one account on iCCup that might be his, but I'm not sure it really is. Also I need to msg him that I won't be able to play on Saturday, maybe we can play on Sunday, after 10:00 GMT (+00:00)?

Well what's done is done, not that big of a deal. I just wanted to point out to the organisers that in the interests of fairness in future whenever a team cannot announce their entry for a map for one reason or another their opponent's entry for that set should not be given to them until they do.

I used to play PvT for a while, and I was pretty good with it, I can still play a mean PvT game. It's a good feeling playing Mullyang toss, macroing and just streaming units at the terran.
ZvT is just so much more fun though, invincible units, rolling people with 12 ultras, shredding marines with lurkers - it all just feels so much better. xD Plus, it's an added advantage to playing TvZ.
ZvT is a lot more fun than PvT.. pvt is just macroing, waiting for Terran to atk and then trying to overwhelm him with units. Mutas, lings, lurks, defilers, ultras, are much more fun to use. Obv i'm not saying its easier, but its more fun.
I still think TvT is a pretty sweet mu though. Unfortunately very few people have any idea what they're doing when they play it.

it's not a problem, as long as you have a overlord for vision proper placement should do no differnece. Otherwise you can get so many lurker ling off the close third and fourth that you can deflect any kind of 9minute push without too to much trouble
Mineral onlys are so underrated for just massing up and zerging down opponents, especially when you consider hydra lurker ling as a composition

Personally I fully agree with Ninazerg on the topic of W.O.s however the offending party should notify their opponents beforehand so that there are no people hanging around the channel wasting their time. If someone can't be bothered to let people know he should not only get a wo but be kicked out of the league after multiple instances of such behaviour.
I hope snipin panda is able to play his game because 2 weeks ago he decided to play a game against someone like 2-3 days later instead of taking a walk-over.

Add one wo per day that the captain is late to submit the lineup. That should spice the things up.
Also, you don't need to make the lineups pretty, just paste the mails here, you can beautify them when you get time. Just post all the lineups that both teams have submitted.
I am extremely uncomfortable with lineups being this late; although this is not a super-serious league with money on the line, aspects of team-league are still important and should be respected, such as knowing matchups beforehand and preparing for it accordingly. Of course the blame is not to L_Master but to the captains who have not sent in the lineups, or the players who aren't corresponding with their captains. I request we at least delay the match today to sometime later, or even skip this week to clarify the rules and punishments and enforce them.

Why do you need to know the lineup so badly? You know your map for sure way beforehand, which gives you more than enough time to prepare for each mu. Try playing in gambit cup... in WL style you don't know map OR mu.

I'll be deciding here soon about how to deal with the line-up issue in the future. Open to suggestions whether it's penalties, line-ups submitted many weeks in advance, format change, etc.

Because it's how the league was formatted. If that's how it was created then keep it that way unless it changes. Having and enforcing clear rules is so that no party is awkward when rules are followed as long as they are sensible.

Yea I agree, we only play 1 game a week, and last few weeks prior to last week's game we just postponed matches, so its not like we have a lot of action going on, thats why I wish the games were more than Bo1, 1 game a week, so underwhelming. But still I hope I don't get walk overed, thats kinda lame if there are 2 walkovers in one team league match.

And yes in my honest opinion anyone who cares about taking a walkover instead of rescheduling the match for another time that day / the next day is obviously worried about losing and is taking the walkover as a result. If you can't find time to reschedule ONE GAME of starcraft for a team league where I think all the games should be played to see the true results then I think that it is more about the person being worried about losing / only caring about winning, and in the end I guess that could be considered dodging, or maybe a more sugar coated way of putting it is desperation. Stop crying already, rules are rules, you were late so stop bitching. If you have a problem talk to the organizer. If you really accepted responsibility you would have stfu from the start, i hated being allowed to reschedule after since it causes situations like this when someone is a sore loser.
Not everyone has the time to play games 24/7 and can hang around waiting indefinitely. Sure, this league is for fun and is extra motivation for people to play and improve, but there's an expected ettiquette that if you sign up for a league where other people depend on you, you will at least be on time. We've been following the same exact schedule for four weeks now, so it's pretty irresponsible (at least without prior notice) to not show up.
So much drama. Isn't it painfully self evident that you either show up on time or reschedule with your opponent as early as possible? To me failing to do either seems just incomprehensible. If you can't be bothered then accept whatever your opponent decides and don't whine. Own fault.
Showing up an hour late with no prior notice and saying that it's no big deal and that w.o. is lame is utter bullshit. It's great if the opponent has free time and can play, but this is entirely up to him.

Yeah, especially if the person is busy and is on a relatively tight schedule taking the W.O should be lame but noone should blame him.
I wouldn't even blame him for being under the opinion that he doesn't want to wait aroiund for 30 minutes, it's the other guy who's late.
quirinius and I had a deal we would play at 20:00 cet today. Then he PM's me if we could do it 19:30 which was totally fine and I agreed to by PM. quirinius subsequently doesnt show up at 19:30 so I think he may have forgotten and I wait till 20:00. quirinius still hasnt shown up and hasnt messaged me on iCCup or teamliquid at all. Really douche move man, I almost waited like 40 minutes for you after we had an agreement on a set time, also you didnt even pm me or message me on iccup you werent available at that time it would have been totally fine...

I sent him a PM asking whether he could play the day before proleague. He replied back saying that we would just play any other time, then I sent another PM asking for when he could play before Thursday this week and there has been no reply. The first PM was sent when the lineup was announced so he already knew about it before the match day. If he showed up when I said that then it's his problem. I also PMed shotcoder telling him I wouldn't be there.. You don't even know this because your players don't contact you -.-

Since we already know which team is playing which team and what maps are being used, can the two captains on each team talk to each other about the lineups and post them here. That would be great and save Lmaster some time. Apparently he hasn't been online in a while so this will help keep CRTL going when he's not around.

Sry, can't help it, I explained myself earlier and quit before I would drive my team into situations like this. Don't try to blame me now, you made the decision to do two things at one, then chose one over other. Just deal with the fact that sometimes things can't happen and you're at least partly responsible for the consequences, unlike Wallace who acted decently and mannered before you provoced him, (I know, a hard concept for you). Going after a player who at least tried to do go the alternative route with nothing but jalla jalla doesn't make a point.

basically I am requiring line-ups to be submitted for three weeks in advance; changes can still be made by Wednesday night by the captains however. So if a player is scheduled to play 2 weeks down the road and a week before realizes he cannot make it, the lineup can be changed. This way if someone ends up busy/afk there is still a line-up in place, but if the captain is around and wants to make changes he can still make changes till the Wednesday before the match at which point line-ups are posted.
I think this is a reasonable solution so there is always something in place, however if you have better idea's I'm completely open to them.

No he had a stepping match with some stairs and eventually lost due to bad foot micro and cup holding multitask. He then proceeded to badmouth the stairs and they have offered him a Grudgematch, Best of 3. The maps will be his house, the mall and the airport.

Are you fucking kidding me ? This league is as good as dead. L_Master if you don't have the time don't bother organising such events next time. For example, you should have been able to do what shimmy did with the ASL. He is doing a superb job, probably because he has more time to spare compared to you. I was so pumped up at the beginning of this league, but now I am just disappointed and I am not the only one. I know you're disappointed, but this seems like an inappropriate amount of rage. Sometimes, life gets really busy and unforeseeable things happen. L_master is cool and I'm not stepping out of the league because of him or anything he did.

No rage I'm just telling it how it is. I have nothing against L_master either, its just the league is dead and I don't see a point in carrying on. I know he wanted to do a good thing, but it didn't work so I'm pointing out the facts.

I'm out of this league too, JMO, I'm sorry if you're reading this but signing up as a captain and then doing a lousy job as you have is really making it frustrating to prepare for playing in this league.

I'd like to put myself available as player if I'm allowed to sub in at this point in the season. I went 12-0 in D Ranks Teamleague so I believe I belong in here more, though I do feel I got lucky in quite a few of those games. I also figure teams will need all the players they can scramble.

If a team is short on players - I'd love to partake in this team league as well. I see a lot of familiar faces from NoisE's ASL league that would be fun to play again.
I've been away recently for multiple reasons and because of those I have to take a step back from BW for awhile(hopefully 2-3 weeks max).
I've been working 60-70 hour(6-7 day) work weeks recently and about a week ago I sprained my wrist at work. The injury will only keep me out about another week or so but I can't manage let alone play games on this schedule. It's supposed to slow down after Memorial day so hopefully after that I can play again and possibly manage but can someone from TnT please step in as manager?
Edit: On the Wands issue, he's definitely C+, or he was when he joined dM when CRTL and ASL started.
