For anyone curious about what I was thinking in the JustoLamas vs Drywater game, I faked a super fast third to provoke him to 1. push out and try to kill me 2. push out to take a quick third of his own he did neither and just stayed in his base so he made me look like a dumbass trying to play 2 base protoss vs 2 base terran. That was a very clever strategy CCF. I also noticed you canceling your 2nd gateway after his scout died. Very tricksy indeed. Too bad it didn't work

panic, choke and triathlon.

I really need to practice on some of these new maps. Triathlon is so lame. Its hard to have fun and play relaxed on maps you don't know... it makes me panic and freeze up.
This tourney has been fun though so far its made me want to come back to BW and start training 1v1 instead of being 2v2 player.

Ok seriously why is the time between rounds in this tourney so short? I see no reason for the rush. Some of us have jobs. Also sorry Alec that we didnt play yet. Yesterday I went home to take a nap about 5 hours before our game, ended up sleeping almost 16 hours...

Due to things like this^ Admins and I have decided to cast Ro16 on Monday and Ro8 on Tuesday. So you guys have up until those days to play. Thank you and sorry for this weird layout. Clearly I didn't think it through too well

I messaged my opponent yesterday and he replied late at night that he had forgot or slept and that he had to go to work so I told him we could play the games today if he wanted.

I can't say anything bad about ZnF so that won't work.

Well the way the brackets were set up I'd tend to disagree. If krndandaman makes ro4 he will win. I am even willing to put money on it if someone wants to bet me.

I am not spoiling. I am saying if krndandaman makes it past ro4 then he will the tourney because i think the lower bracket had more players favored to win it and they got knocked out.
RO4/ RO8 hasn't even been played yet. I am not spoiling o.o

I also think you should just have ro8/ro4 casts on weekends and the final the week after instead of the final a day after the semis.
I also like the idea of semi's being bo5.

I just need to ask... why the weird maps? Yes if you are a noob who hates BW and your name is Ribbon, watching pros do unconventional strategies on retarded maps is exciting. However, if you are a C level player who probably spends a lot of time practicing conventional strategies on more standard maps, and does not have the luxury of time that progamers have to come up with map specific strats, nor the guidance of 30 year old coaches who used to play BW back in 2001 when BW made no sense, you probably do not have the capability to produce a decent game on a map like triathlon or outsider. Weird maps both harass the players preparing for the tourney (by forcing them to waste time coming up with a gimmicky strategy that they will probably never use again) and diminish the the value for the viewers (as two noobs clumsily trying to figure out how there builds interact is painful to watch). Seriously its not like the C tour is for the viewers anyway.. its just for the players to get the experience of tourney like play!

Yeah, I tend to agree. Triathlon is really gag lol. Oh well maybe for next tourney Shimy will change maps if enough people agree.
C-/C/C+ ranks with 5 bases all on top of each other. Triathlon is almost like bgh.

I agree completely, it was different when i thought we could choose not to play on those maps since there was enough standard ones in the map pool, but almost every match has a really wierd starting map which each player wastes all their time practicing on only that map which results in a clumsy clusterfuck where you have no idea what your doing followed by really wierd/bad games since they haven't played a standard game for days.
