Also, why do zergs go Guardian in TvZ? Almost every time i see them used Terrans do what Sea did and kill everything with a few wraiths.
lol i honestly have no idea why. they're almost never successful
but they're fun as fuck to use.... i love watching guardians demolish that M&M push (even if they're going to die to 2 wraiths a minute later)
ummmm jd did guardians on this map against mind
And Mind should have won that game running away. The guardians were a total Hail Mary.
No, Ultra/Guard is a strategy made viable by the map. You can take expoes behind one choke so you can afford to hold it without lurkers and invest the gas into fast hive instead. The guardians did their job by breaking that push, hydra's follow up was horribad.

They probably expected KilleR to come out and Hydra's ZvZ is pretty good. They probably expected and probably was right from what we saw tonight, 5th set was Baby, and I feel they would have sent out Movie

Mind flew his large group of valkyries over some water and then left them on stop. Jaedong proceeded to find them with some scourge and annihilate them. If they had been over the mnm where they belonged, all of the guardians are dead within seconds of popping and Mind rolls over the defenses at the nat with his mnm and tanks. Mind's boneheaded play handed the game to Jaedong on a platter; he should never have been able to hold the nat until ultras against the composition Mind had.

You wanna send Z or P if map is Outlier. Where is terran going to expand vs protoss (reaver harass would kill). Zerg getting free 3rd and 4th gas fast. It was 3rd terran sent to play that map and first win btw.

I'm finding it hard to be sad about Jaedong losing. Jaedong was never going to carry this team, and structuring lineups around him would only doom T8 to failure. The sooner they're winning (and playing/planning to win) without him, the healthier the team is. The only downside is that sponsors probably love Jaedong, so the economic appeal of the team suffers somewhat.
The people who are sad about Jaedong losing (like me) are fans of jaedong as a player most likely. Its not so he can carry his team its because he's an awesome player and now he's kind of fallen off which is sad to see. I remember in 2009/2010 especially when I would be shocked when he lost in a proleague game sometimes just because he was so damn good. Now of days its like "jaedong lost " but I am not shocked by it anymore he just hasn't been playing top notch like 09/10.
Was hoping he would come back but now i'm very not hopeful anymore that Jaedong will ever get back to his dominant form like I honestly think JvZ and JvP are gone for good now. His vs T seemed good end of last year (going 4-0 vs flash) but haven't seen much of it except vs mind this year.
Finally I think Team 8's coach performed wonderfully tonight. Send JD for a Z v Z ( admit it his v Z is still in shape :p ), Send Tyson for a change ( element of surprise ). Send Sea in Outliner & vs Z ( instead of Jade & v P -.- ), thus snipe Hydra . Not to mention Jaehoon, Sea and Tyson all stepped up today \m/. Team 8 FIGHTINGGGG

In unrelated news, I heard that Shark is moving to OGN.
That's fantastic news. As a commentator?
Not sure. Someone on HERO gallery saw a news bulletin during the KT-Woongjin match that said Shark was joining OGN. I guess we'll have to wait for official word from DES or Fomos for the full details.
