I prefer reavers too but considering sun only need to add a tribunal i thnik splitting the army with some HT behind cannons could have been his best option at the time.

Well, protoss caterpillars can briefly turn into butterflies with the help of a shuttle, so they'll be fine.
They just have to chill and pick away at the tarantula.
