Look, there's one thing I'd like to bring up here -_-;; I think everyone is giving WGTour a way too hard time, WGTour has been around since forever (2001 or something was when the first french version came out I think?). I remember playing my first wgtour games, back when my pvt strat was 2 gate zealot into dt, because I hated goon obs (I only ever won with lucky dts anyway ^_^)... Then when the non-french version came out and I was playing as F]WinDTosS[C for a few seasons.. Never did get past C0 (though I probably could have, I just got tired of it everytime)..Then I was playing random for a laugh when the progamers 'invaded' WGT (can't remember if I knew about it)... However, I ended up playing Nal_rock RTvP (he maxed in 14 or 15 minutes and killed my gundamish rush with his 5~ dragoons losing 0~1 goon, and Crystal[inca] RZ vs Z and RTvsZ, of course losing all games -_-~ I was C0 as random then I think.. Hm, good times. Oh and when, just before the pro-invasion (or perhaps during the first season of it) when cG went to WGTour =] Ah, great times, DDarri was in the top hm.. 50? 20? 15? Can't remember, and neo went 50-4 or something with most losses coming from his terran.. Wish those guys were still playing actively +_+ They've (co-)hosted WDTour (and in no way was what happened their fault), WSL, co-hosted two TLTours, they've ran 12 consecutive seasons, they have a fully functioning clan league which has been running forever, they have tournaments, they have offered a place for people to host their own tournaments, for people to host nation wars and clan wars.. they have the works. In the first TLTour I played like 150 games, was great. In the second TLTour I played almost 160 games (80 games in 2 days or something --). Season after season WGTour is THERE. I don't play it, I don't like Clan League, I don't play their tournaments, I don't read the site. I don't use WGT at all other than for downloading the odd replay or during TLTour times, but it's there. Uploading replays is not that annoying.. Well, except when the site is slow. And those complaining about the bot.. were you around during the times when you had to report the game on the webpage? I mean, not just report win/loss and up the replay, you had to make the challenge, have your opponent accept it, play, report win/loss on site and have your opponent accept it, upload replay. The bot is fine, I didn't even mind the old system. Makes for a lot of nice replays too if you bother to look through the game lists of the players. I haven't done so in a long time, might do it tomorrow actually.. Yeah, in short, WGTour has its flaws but it's solid. Don't hate so much on it please, they don't deserve it.

i cant make this shit up. it saddens me, first of all, that people like this exist in the community. i've been bm, but it's just being bitter about losses and mouthing off and shit, and i dont even do that anymore, but i've never sunk to the level of actually fucking people over. second of all it saddens me that the WGT system is the way it is. perhaps it's my own standards, but if something cant be done correctly then it shouldnt be done at all. i guess at WGT they believe that what they offer is better than nothing. in my opinion they're in HUGE need of programmers and have been ever since they decided to open an international ladder. the reasons wgt has "survived" are all of the wrong reasons for something to survive. WGT was the first collective effort of the community to do something of that kind (yes im aware of the other independent ladders that preceded WGT, but WGT was different). it was decent enough to survive. PGT is the next collective effort of the community and is better, period. PGT has the ability to run all the shit WGT is or has been doing, and PGT can do it better. it was just a matter of people switching

My first paragraph will be about how every post needs a good first paragraph. I mean it has to be shocking; really catch your attention and make you want to keep reading. It should say something controversial even if it is not exactly true. By the way, the World Gaming Tour is actually run by the military who have created a simulation based on everyone's favorite game. The top ladder players go on to play in the "finals" in which they are actually creating a camp, training soldiers, and so on, on planets light years away. These orders are staggered, then transferred to other planets; the actually building of a base takes about a year. If you are wondering what happens to the top Zerg and Protoss players, they are brought to "Korea," aka a small camp in Nevada, where, after certain operatives become learned in their mannerism, they are shot. "Rekrul" is, of course, not the rekrul we came to love, but rather an operative. Why do you think he has not banned as many people? The operative believed this was some kind of legend or overstatement. Now the second paragraph should contain alot of information, or at least appear to do so. If you are serious about making a big show, put in a links. It doesn't matter if they are made up; nobody is going to click them anyway. Either change the http into something like "the site which shows your wrong" or just make up a webaddress which clearly shows your it. In a totally unrelated note, did you know that ladder admins who do not work assiduosly to bring up the ladder they are a part of are shown two hundred and seventy five percent more likely to have cancer, aids, herpes, and a bad head cold then those who do so? Check out these sites if you won't take my word for it: www.canceriscontagious.org www.lzyladeradminsbewar.net www.pgtadminsarebeelzbublol.tk www.poster(insertname)isright.com The third paragraph does not really need a point. It just has to be written with large, misused words, insane amounts of questionable punctuation, and whatever else you can think of to sound smart. Oh yeah, my most esteemed pro gaming tour (of which you--as admins--are certainly a part, regardless, I think, of your opinions on the matters of the world gaming tour as of large and... well the point is clear from that which is already written and will be made lucid by what I will write later on), I herby welcome you, perniciously annoying you may be...--but let skip the badinage--for the pulchritude of your ladder certainly shows you are not all bad... enough rambling you get my point; its very clear. The summary is all that matters. Nobody, upon a quick scroll of the length of the post, is going to read anything else anyway. Just say you proved what you now claim above. SUMMARY Anyways, as I've shown above, PGT MUST be opened soon.

While WGT may continually say they are working on improvements etc., PGT did it in less than half the time WGT has taken and was damn near if not perfect. Sadly we take what we can get. I'm still extremely baffled by the fact that considering the state of our community (Strong yet divided and always threatened by the possibilty of being pushed outta all serious gaming events) that sites like GosuGamers, WGT, PGT and SCLegacy haven't all come together with resources, programmers etc to create the ultimate in gaming yet PGT claimed the title imo on their own they fell to the resource issue. When will our community actually step up to where it should be. True. But the main reason WGT cannot "follow" to PGT is because PGT used a private ladder. And I'll admit using a Private Ladder is great and dandy and all, and makes PGT what it is, but WGT cannot do so because WGT is careful not to break any blizzard rules. PGT basicaly took a risk and broke one but came out big. Too bad it went down big too. An as for you rlast sentence, it's just the same thing as why can't all the countries unite under as one country and live happily together, with no war... the answer? We're humans, stupid humans.

Yeah, but the reason it "went down big" was not in any way connected with the fact it used a private server. Hell, I think WGT should switch, because it's just so much better.
