The element of surprise. When a fe protos see 2hatch play and don't know what is coming they start to play nervous and start making mistakes specially in micro - losing scout probe, first corsair to scourge which is critical, some lonely zeilot, start massive canon build and most of the time they put them selfs in behind by placeing too much canons at front expecting mass lings or too much at expo forgeting key buildings or the mein unprotected for muta/scoutge. They definely will have weak spot... attack that spot with mutas or make 3rd expo and ur ahead. 2 hatch muta vs fe protos is highy dangerous and hard for zerg to win is the timing/micro and element of surprise that could make you win here. Protos got better shances overall for protect. I even in 1 game destroyed all the mein of the protos (about C/c+ level, so better z than me should do better) and even with 1 base they manage to win cuz i was unsure what to do.. And again most protos fe vs zerg dont expect 2 hatch play.. why dont you make him thing ur all in but ur making hide expo.. Be creative. in most games for zerg the key for succes is deny ur opp scout. How can you even suggest a 2 Hatch Muta wouldn't be scouted? First, the Protoss can see the gas timing. And second, the Protoss can see a lack of the third base. And your analysis of getting nervous and not knowing what to do applies to bad players, not good players. If the Zerg goes 2 Hatch all the P has to do is defend and the P wins. Also. C/C+ Protosses barely even understand how to play the early game against standard play, let alone cheese. | ||

Yes you can prevent scouting. Block with drone or just make 6 lings and kill it. Is that simple. In maps with choke for 3rd like bloody ridge u can place 2 lings block the ramp and fake 3rd hatch or just dont allow probe to see ur nat expo. im not 100% sure but u can also make speed first and catch all scout probes and zeilots or probably scary protos forcing him 3-4 canons at front.. Yes i can talk about c/c+ protos cuz im that level z, but also my timing and speed is not perfect so better zerg would do it better. Also yes as i said this build is very risky and need good micro and should be done only becouse protoss didn expect it and for perfect surprise cuz is very rare. | ||
