Hello Community!
One year ago I left you and started to play SC2. Since then I always wanted to give something back to the SCBW-Community. Here we go!
I decided to organize a weekly livestreamed tournament. This week I did a "Livestream test tournament" to figure out if everything works. It does.Thanks to all participators.
Every wednesday (for the next four weeks) at 20:00 CET the eNoir Cup is going to take place. For now, the number of tournaments is limited to four. If the community shows interest and we get at least one tournament with more then 32 participators I am going to continue the work.

Hello Community!
Finally we managed to set up some basic rules for our tournaments. For the “eNoir Cup 1/4”, 49 players signed up and we are still working to keep to project growing. Thanks to iCCup.bitT.man and iCCup.GeckoXp for supporting eNoir.
See you on Wednesday 31st August for the eNoir Cup 2/4!
RULES for the eNoir Cup:
1. If any problem occurs contact an admin.
2. If you opponent does not show up for 15 minutes contact an admin.
3. The chat channel for the tournament is "eNoir" @ iCCup. All players have to be in the tournament channel.
4. Maps for the tournament are going to be:
Round 1 (BO1): Tau Cross
Round 2 (BO1): Python
Round 3 (BO1): Longinus
Round 4 (BO1): Destination
Round 5 (BO3): Blue Storm
In a Best of 1 (BO1) the map is always fixed. In a Best of 3 (BO3) or Best of five (BO5) the loser picks the next map. The same map is not allowed to be played twice in a match.
Maps for loser picks:
Tau Cross, Python, Longinus, Destination, Blue Storm
5. Please save and upload all replays (on iCCup) of your games.

I guess the tournament takes place on iCCup as you use their tournament system.
Is there a ruleset up for it? Are there prizes (or to come if the interest is high enough as you said)?
What channel shall we meet in?

Yes, all tournaments take place on Channel "eNoir" @ iCCup
We are going to publish the rules, soon. There are no prizes for the four announced tournaments. But all tournaments are covered by at least one livestream. That way, the players get the chance to make themselves a name and become more popular.
We are willing to give away prizes if the project keeps growing.

I believe the main problem is the repetive usage of the iCCup mappack which just won't ever get updated even after providing them the tools to do it and it seems like Paladin (who seemed to be in charge) disappeared?

Despite the fact that iccup map pack still lacks neo aztec, new empire of the sun, new bloody ridge and neo beltway, it still has maps like icarus, la mancha and circuit breaker, all of which are introduced in this season, which means that newer maps could be chosen by the organization team.

Luckily those maps were never updated, otherwise even those were still in the mappack with an old version (La Mancha, Icarus and Circuit Breakers). Also Alternative is not in it either.
And Beltway hard against T? I love it for PvT, you can snipe expansions here and there depending on where he expands as the map is very pathy and you can move your army here and there in no time.
Also destroying the neutral building behind your natural and making a pylon there would help tons;)

Hey, could you pass me few replays of your on this map pvt? Would help a lot. This map is so big and not suit my style of play.
About the maps - it doesn't have to be even top of the line newest - maybe throw late 2009 - 2010 maps there aswell like New HBR, matchpoint, Neo Moon Glaive, Grand Line, Great Barrier Reef. Just something a lil bit refreshing you know.

2) Claims that there is a "Grudge" against you.

4) Saying that you "Don't care about iCCup" and then proceed to respond with 840 posts before how we're killing e-sports.

But since we're on the topic anyway, let's answer a few questions/concerns that you so thoughtfully pointed out about iCCup's map pool/involvement in the eNoir Cup:
Gecko and Bitt.man supported the eNoir cup because all Germans are friends and stick up for their homies. sc2_Pascal hosted, Gecko supported it. iCCup.com did not officially endorse or run the project, but merely lent a helping hand. Pascal was even so kind as to be thankful for the little bits of help given to him by the iCCup staff instead of saying "I'm such a great organizer, eNoir is my baby."
It was his tour. He hosted it, he managed it, he made the rules, he picked the map pool. The fact that he asks the players to upload their replays to iccup.com actually has absolutely nothing to do with the iccup staff. Anyone can ask that from their competitors.
As for the mappack, let's get real. If we had a crack team of map hunters constantly adding maps to the mappack, you still wouldn't like iCCup. You'd just find some other little idiosyncrasy that you find to be not up to your standard (Even though you picked maps like Bluestorm for the KISL play-offs, and LML didn't say shit about that) and "demand answers". Well, that crack team of map hunters doesn't exist. We're not perfect. We're a team of volunteers, and everything that happens is because people contribute. If you or LML would like to send me or anyone from the iccup team regular/obs versions of any of the new maps, you are more than welcome to do so. Until then, I suggest you focus on all your oh-so-awesome events and shut up.

The maps were chosen because they were five of the most common maps. As the cup started out, we didn't want a lack of knowledge of maps to be a barrier of entry. I don't have final say, so I can't promise, but next time around we will probably have some of the newer maps as well.

Actually, your post is quite hilarious. I simply quoted the OP and made a point of logic. You made comics, personal attacks, and insanely irrelevant points. More importantly, this is a forum. If this was a conversation between you and LML, it would not be on TeamLiquid. Attacking someone for acting on a forum how they should act on a forum is ideal for the irony of your post.
For further use of forums - you know - as the head "lady-guy-person" of iCCup.com aka head of news, do note that I don't "sick my dogs" aka SNM or whoever you conjure up in your delusional thoughts, to defend me. Pointing out flaws in what you said =/= trolling its just called pointing out the truth, when iCCup has their name printed on every line of someone's even post, you're endorsing(Declare one's public approval or support of) it. By advertising it on your site you're doing just that. It's and iCCup event, its run on your server, the brackets are made on your server, all the staff aside from the guy who had the idea are iCCup admins.

Once the troll-limit reaches critical mass, my calculations conclude that Game must troll. Further tests have proved my original hypothesis.
There's no point in addressing any of your other points, because you pretty much can't think for yourself and agree with whatever Game says, however, I will say this: The iccup staff had almost no involvement in eNoir. Gecko had already left the iccup team, and Bitt.man actually had technical difficulties, so someone outside of the iccup staff did the casting. So to insinuate that "half the iccup staff" was involved is false.
p.s. - The Fish Server is awesome, which is why the TL channel on Fish is always almost completely empty.

Edit: Also, if you want the reason people hate iCCup, read over every post you've made in this thread. Your attitude in these threads is what the general public sees from all the admins and its why we don't like iCCup. eNoir is using the iccup mappack as the mappool only hence this disables the option to use any of the newer maps.
And I don't want to unprotect and fix all those maps for you guys, I gave you guys a program which does this, paladin used it to make a new mappack but the protection he used afterwards made the replays unreadable by your parser.
After that, idk what happened, but it seems to me like Paladin disappered.
In my eyes you are the one always coming here feeling the need to die-hard defend something that everybody says if it's not positive towards your opinion.

I dislike old maps, they were made for older playing styles and are not as usable for modern playing styles oftentimes.
Beside that, what can we expect from the next eNoir cups pascal?
I am sad I couldn't show my support in more than 1cup, for some reason I was mostly busy wednesday evenings, which I don't understand, next thing we know people claim I have a life ..
I hope you manage to find some sponsorship and can continue with this soon, that would be really amazing.

I apologize for starting off so hostile towards you. It's just frustrating when I feel like some people are trying to tear down every event hosted on iccup just because some of the staff helps the people get their tours off the ground.
Unfortunately, Paladin did disappear. =(
No one knows where he went, but there must've been some kind of emergency.

i dont have feelings against paladin or any other iccup admin, but he looked like he cared so much about iccup then he disappears without a word and no one knows where he is

Hey guys. So I have only bothered to read a bit of this thread since it was recently shown to me again, for the first time in a while. I have a couple of questions for EVERYONE so with that being said, lets get straight to it:
1) Should this thread really be full of all the trolling?
No. we all know that.
2) Shouldn't everyone be very happy that there is still support for the broodwar community?
Yes. Now Game, I know you support the community as well, but please...There was no need to say what you did. Nina, your response towards Game was a bit much as well. Forgive me for pointing fingers but this is no way for us to all act if we all wish to do the exact same thing for the community - Provide it content and support
3) Suggestions towards those running the event
Nina I think there needs to be a system for suggestions to be considered. If the viewers and players might like another map or anything else, then you guys may want to look at taking a poll for these sort of things.
4) Suggestions to the viewers/readers
Please be understanding that running an event can be stressful and often times, the staff of that event is doing what they feel is best or what they were advised to do. If you have a suggestion, please make sure its known as a suggestion. Often times people take things the wrong way or misunderstand and then a situation like this happens...Where everyone seems to end upset or flaming each other. If we want to support each other, as a community, we must first learn to work together. So lets try to do exactly that.
5) To everyone else
Please continue to support the eNoir group and all those who help support Broodwar. There is no need to flame one group or even a single person. People can only do so much with what they are given to work with. So do try to be understanding. After all, if these people stop doing what they are doing...Then what support will there be for the broodwar scene anymore? It will dwindle down further and further till starcraft is less played then chess (which in my opinion is a very boring game XD)
So lets try to work past this and do what we love doing - supporting the community. With that, I done adding in my 2 cents worth.

5) I'll agree with this if someone actually puts some effort into expanding this event.

This thread is full of lol's. Tournament has been fun to watch and I think hacklebeast does a great job for a new comer. Nice to see lots of well known players show up to this too, even nicer to see my clanmates win every tournament so far!

Actually Game, I was not attempting to attack you in any way shape or form. I did go through and read all the posts. However, I must admit - Despite how this will make people think of me, your responses were much more polite than Nina's in regards towards the topic and the derailment that has happened. As for the name "ICCup" as part of my name, I keep it because I have no choice. I do not work for ICCup for a reason anymore. I love ICCup and what ICCup use to stand for. I will not pretend that it is perfect in any way, shape or form..Actually many things would have to change for it to go back to its formal glory. However those days are in the past. I hope you are aware I was simply suggesting that it does you no good to argue, same as it did no good for nina to attack you. Forgive me, I was not comparing your contributions in any way. I know what you have done and what you are able to do. I can say the same for ICCup. That does not change that both groups are attempting to support the same community, just in different ways. I agree that it can be dropped - however, since I was given this thread by someone involved in running the event (or helping with the work of the event), it was clear it bothered them a bit about how the topic was going. I did say I would give my 2 cents worth, regardless if it helps or not. Anyhow, when is the next eNoir? I am excited for when it happens.
