actually it was a 5 pool. he could've NOT gone for a second ling allin and isntead done a 2 hatch hydra play which probably would've been more successful

He has a point. Like if you watch July transition out of a 5pool, he's usually done respectable damage. Horang blocked it almost perfectly. The second attack (after the fake 3rd hatch/base) killed a lot more probes. If there were a time to start droning, I think it was after that attack. But instead, he used every larva for zerglings.
