I CANNOT FREAKING WAIT OMFG
No WONDER MSL & OSL always ran together, this is KILLING me. DAMMIT. Stupid slow OSL...

I'm feeling surreal... it seems the wait has made me nuts... i don't know if i can take it any longer...

LOL! Still no hype for Hydra!

Is this the longest week (since MSL Ro4 Day1) ever or what?

Please, do not (i beg you T_T) put Bisu and Hydra in the same sentence..
I feel violated >.<
Edit: 2 more days x_x.. Im already exercisng self-control and coming to this thread only once a day.. But c'mon wtf @.@... BW withdrawal? x_x

But how the hell do you predict a win over someone like Flash?

If I were Hydra, I think winning 3 MSLs (and making a fourth final), together with random deep-ish OSL runs, would be a deal I'd take.
On a more serious note... comparing Hydra to Bisu? Woah.

Couldn't agree with you more on the first part - but it's just so goddamn painful to wait!
Flash is most certainly the favourite here, but there is something about Hydra which leads me to believe that he always has something up his sleeve, some kind of unexpected trick. Thats why this Bo5 will be so great!

Savior will pull the strings for this match. Not fixing it of course. Hydra will just show up in the booth moving his hands while Savior plays for him.

omg at the pulpfiction flash picture! so sick!=)

I made an account just to contribute to the commentary of this match.
It seems that Flash has a lot of anti-fans, perhaps more than that of any other player and that's expected because he started playing with none of the flair of players who were universally respected in their prime- such as Savior or Boxer. That being said, I do believe that Flash is the finest player that Brood Wars has ever produced. He has turned into a no nonsense player defeating players through brute micro and macro alone.
Now lets look at the recent games of Hydra. Hydra lost 2 games in a row with Mind and then won three to take the match, with a few days in between. Mind made many small mistakes such as leaving hydras behind, losing lurkers unnecessarily, placing Nydus Canals where they could be easily destroyed, and the like. Mind also made mistakes, and they were generally worse, such as letting Hydra expand and tech out of control even though he had the forces to stop him. Mind made that mistake several times, until it was too late.
Flash is unlikely to let that happen.
The problem is compounded by Hydra's tendency to tech to Hive right away. Against lesser players, that is not a bad strategy because those few minutes of having lesser forces will probably be overlooked. However, Flash has always taken full advantage of such a situation, most notably in Game 1 of last years MSL against Jaedong.
Flash has shown an amazing ability to hold off early and mid game attacks. His losses to Zerg are mostly due to a successful muta harass leading to a later ultraling by the opponent. Hydra, however, likes to harass a bit less and go right to Hive. Indeed, I think Hydra knows that is the only way he can win- if he is able to tech to Hive and get defilers and ultras without losing a few bases. Against Flash, however, that is a pipe dream.
I would bet 10 to 1 that Flash wins. Actually, in my mind, he has a 50% chance of winning 3-0, a 40% chance of winning 3-1, and a 10% chance of winning 3-2.

Tried watching SC2 again to satisfy my starcraft fix. Couldn't even make it through five minutes.
Me want brood war!
|
Hope Hydra will put up a good fight and make it watchable.
|
I am excited to watch this match, but only to see Flash steamroll Hydra three times in a row.
+ Show Spoiler +The only disappointment is that we will not see Flash vs Jaedong.

This could be completely useless in determining who will win but some might be interested.
Below is a breakdown of each players statistics. W/L ratio in the respective mu, W/L ratio of the maps to see which maps favor T or Z and how many times each player has played each map.
_________________________________________________________________________ Hydra

W/L ratio difference 13.29% more wins in this mu for flash. _________________________________________________________________________
Enjoy
As you see above, Hydra has played all of the maps in televised matches, Flash however, only one. Monte Cristo is ZvT 5-1, two of those Z wins coming way by Hydra.

Thanks for the statistics. Will be interesting to see if Flash will have any funky build prepared for Monte Cristo.
