rD.BW Winners Tournament will have the following format:
-Group Stage Best of 3 (all 3 games must be played , even if u have 2-0 already)
2 Groups with 4 players in each group, . Every player will have to play each other, first 2 from each group will advance.Taking a win against an opponent awards two points, however rounds within the game are important and if two players land on the same points, the player with most won rounds will advance.
-Semifinals Best of 5
-Finals Best of 7
Winners from semifinals will fight to decide who will be the champion. Losers from semifinals will fight for 3rd place

It's understandable that the time isn't great for Scan and JoeKim. Unfortunately, you guys are the two North Americans in a tournament run/casted/played in by Europeans, so we picked a time that was better for us :p
There's a reason we had all the qualification tournaments on Fridays. Saturdays are usually occupied by other (bigger) events, notably the ISL. For the next two weekends, it will be the 3v3 BGH tour taking up the prime Saturday slot. Sundays used to be taken up by other events as well, but they are an option now. However, since most of us have work/school on Monday, we would have to hold the tournament earlier to ensure a timely finish (some of you may remember the unfortunate 'finals' of Tesla's tournament that ended up being a WO due to how late it ran on a Sunday). This means you guys would have to wake up pretty early on a Sunday morning to play.
If the other qualified players could give their input on the time/date (and a potential change to Sundays), that would be much appreciated. Then I could discuss with xtS about changing the time.

I haven't been able to talk to xtS about this yet so wait for his confirmation, but I see no problem with you playing your games in advance and sending me the replays. Just remember that the format of the group stage is a little unusual. You must play 3 games against every other player in your group even if you win the first 2 games because the number of wins counts towards who advances. So, I should get 9 replays from both of you.
It will be up to you to contact your opponents and arrange games. If your opponent doesn't want to arrange a new time or the two of you can't agree on a time, then it will default back to the scheduled time on Friday. Obviously, please send me all the replays before the cast on the 27th.
Edit: If you end up tied with another player in your group but aren't around to play the tiebreaker, then I will have to let that player advance. As such, I'd recommend you show up on Friday even if you're late.

Everything live would seem to have the problem of hectic flow, perhaps making for less enjoyable broadcast than a linear replay based plan.

My thoughts exactly. I'd personally prefer to do all the games in order (from replays). The issue with that is that's 18 games which could take a while XD

While I normally prefer live casting, I think you will need to use replaycast here. Otherwise the viewers will probably be spoilered to know which of the last round games actually still matter.

So when my group will be played now ? Did scan postpone his games to a later date than friday or what!?!?? Because i'd like to postpone my games as well then since i do not wanna "waste" my friday evening for one single best out of 3 if someone else can postpone his matches... if now all games are played tonight i will come but everybody else should have to do so as well then.

As much as I hate to, I'm gonna go with my original ruling here. So far, the only results/replays I've received are dOTY vs JoeKim, and JoeKim has forfeited his match vs Scan. If JoeKim and Scan can't/don't show up today (and Karate does), I will just give WO for the rest of their matches. I think allowing them a week and a half to reschedule was more than enough.
This means that if you (dOTY) and Karate show up today, you both will advance to the semifinals, and you will just have to play a match to determine who advances first from the group and who advances second (first seed plays WhistlerR in the semifinals, second seed plays eOnzerg). If that ends up happening, I might ask you to play a Bo5 rather than a Bo3, just to make the cast more entertaining 
So yes, dOTY, please do show up today.

Skype doesn't store messages, it only sends them when both people are online, so I don't have any reps of you vs Karate. That's why I told you to PM them to me. For the match vs dOTY, you said that you and him couldn't find a suitable time when you're both free, so you wanted to postpone. You didn't tell me when you would postpone it to, or if dOTY even agreed to that. I've tried to be accomodating, but this is a tournament with a schedule. I will cast dOTY vs Karate first today to give you a bit of time to show up since JoeKim said you might be on later. I'm afraid that's the best I can do.

the point of the whole foreign BW scene is now very similar to Korean BW scene - the problem is who will actually challenge Scan / Flash. 
Too bad Karate played so-so at late game in 3th set @ FS, he could really beat Scan with his base count (5 to 4), but then lost 2 base of drones to vultures, and I turned off the stream knowing it's over. T_T

Not gonna lie, I'm extremely disappointed as well. xtS and S1rk went AWOL so I had to organize and cast the semis/finals by myself. xtS explained that he was in the hospital so I can understand that, but S1rk just suddenly disappeared for months without a word. He showed up a week or two ago saying he was also in the hospital. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked him to immediately pay all the players because for some stupid reason, everybody gets on my case about it even though I'm just the damn caster. He says some random stuff like "there was no news about the winner" and now he's disappeared again. No idea what's going on. I apologize to the players, but I'm afraid there's nothing I can do.
