Wouldn't have been broken regardless if JD won or not.

but gz to hydra, he really is filling out the spot as "undisputed 2nd best zerg in the world", which had been vacant since efforts departure.

If Jaedong can't get 6 titles then neither shall Flash!!! It shall be Nada's curse that 5 title holders will never win their 6th title.

Recommended games? Game 3 and Game 5 were probably the best. All the others were fairly uninteresting "welp player X gets demolished by player Y because his mutalisk/zergling micro was worse" or "sent overlord in wrong direction, player X loses because he has no scouting info" you've seen in every ZvZ ever played.
Game 4 was awesome (funny game)

Sigh. JD . The world doesn't make sense to me anymore.
I can't think of anything more underwhelming than a Hydra v Great final. (well I do agree with others that Calm v Kwanro is worse but this is nearly as bad)

shit i mean hydra's good.. but this good?
i mean wasn't he a scrub like 6 months ago? what great improvement! hope he takes the gold.

Mass lings -> few drones -> not enough minerals/drones for a 2nd gas. Obviously the build was cheesy, for the 12hatch vs 9pool scenario, I'm just saying that the 12hatch vs 12hatch scenario which happened (where one player tries to squeeze in a few too many drones) was pretty standard. The reason he "tried to squeeze in a few too many drones" was because he couldn't see the hatch. That's where the hatch being hidden helps. That's the cheesy part. Do you watch a PvT with proxy robo->reaver and say "Oh sure that was just a standard PvT, the Terran just got greedy and got his turrets late"?
- Did you sense the hidden hatchery in Game 3? ▲ I saw his base with the Overlord, but I didn't see a Hatchery at his natural, so I suspected it. But I think I lost because I tried to make too many Drones. I thought I had almost won, but unfortunately I lost.
Sorry, it's kinda dirty to come back and reply hours later, but I saw that in the interview thread and I couldn't help but say "I told you so."

WOW.
I was kinda hoping Hydra would win to be honest (JD deserves another title but it's time for some newcomers too), but I still thought JD would take it. Congrats to Hydra for an awesome showing! :D

I can only repeat myself: The finals will be awesome. If Hydra would have had the build order advantage three times then I could understand the frustration. But he didn't. He deserved his victories by perfect Micro and tactics. This is not a fluke like Flash losing to Ssak/Hyuk, Bisu losing to Shine or JD losing to Hiya/HoGil. Hydra is a legite newcomer who deserves his spot in the finals and he is up against a ZvZ sniper with a unique ZvZ style (and very lucky pairings).

No surprises here. LB'd hydra because of his recent results, whereas JD has been rather lackluster.
Hydra deserves this MSL, but I still can't get hyped about it (just like the ro4 -_-).

this is shaping up to be the worst finals ever again

Hydra is on a run right now but he will fall just like Effort/Shine. Predicting 3-2 Jaedong.
JD gonna 3-0. foshoo
huh
and how about that poll in the OP?

If I felt like it, I'd go dig up the guy telling me Jaedong is going to crush Hydra into retirement just like he did Effort.
Hawhawhawhaw.
I'd also quote myself where I said that the series was going to be neither a Jaedong or a Hydra roflstop, all the "lololol JD 3-0" comments...predicting that was like predicting Fantasy 3-0ing Stork before it happened.

The outcome is fantastic. Not that Jaedong is "losing it" (which I honestly doubt) but that we have newcomers in Snow and especially Hydra who are able to step up to his level. This is the first time in ages that the S-class looks like it might get some fresh blood (Effort more or less got there, but Hydra is looking even more impressive). How can this be bad?
I'm pretty excited about the MSL final as well. Clearly Hydra and great are the two most interesting ZvZ players at the moment, and there are some developments going on in the matchup. This is nothing like Calm vs Kwanro, who were both mediocre and boring (except for Kwanro's affinity for 4 pools... and losing with them).
I agree. How great is it that JD/Flash/Bisu/Stork are all playing very well, and yet we even have a fifth player (Hydra) who is at their incredibly high level? Then there's a chance that Snow is actually going to get there too (he was born in 94). I fail to see how this is a bad thing, as Effort's the only non-TaekBangLeeSsang player in the last few years to step up to that elite level for an extended period of time.

To be honest, I am VERY VERY sad that Effort is gone. I rather want Effort to take over Jaedong's throne as the number 1 Zerg than Hydra. Cuz Effort has this aura around him that just makes him....majestic
