It seemed to me like the point of JD's build was that if Hydra 9pools, he wouldn't scout the 12hatch and so he won't move out with his first 6 lings. He'd then miss the timing to punish the 12hatch and would get out-linged shortly. If Hydra 12hatched (which he did) JD can just play standard, but of course trying to end the game sooner rather than later because he won't be able to get the 2nd gas. | ||
