I hope so, he wins this MSL, because that is possibly the last title he wins...

At so many points in the game, Last was so close to breaking JD's spine, but somehow JD would defend by a sliver. Honestly, while watching that game, would you call the Zerg Jaedong not knowing that he's playing? JD used to be so much better than this. Really? What other Zerg right now would you say could play like that? The multi-tasking, the micro, the decision making... He's still the best. (Zero can play at this level but only sometimes). Hydra, to be frank. Hydra has been a lot more dominant than Jaedong for the entire season, and while I do think Zerg in general suck right now, I wouldn't call that play anywhere near good even by Zerg standards. no quite dominant, they both have similar stats in 38 last games (38-10). I think you mean the style of his games? yes, don't forget Hydra has momentum and his current top form, JD is just playing on a regular mode. So its indeed very very difficult to compare. Should we take JD in his prime, top form, would you call Hydra an opponent?
an addition, I do agree that JD's play dropped a little, to the level that any decent player is a threat to him, he used to play such games a lot better just couple of months ago. Dunno, JD had a little slump some time ago, I think he can put it together when needed

bogus hesitates and retreats. i'm calling it for jaedong right now.

Good timing and econ from JD with 3 hatches surprisingly off a pool first build.

Being a marine, how would you feel if you heard JD's mutas scream in the night? ^^

JD used to look like that. Now he doesn't.

I don't know whether his aggressive side hasn't stayed as powerful or whether he has worked more on management. But some of Jaedong's best games are the really close walkovers, if that oxymoron makes sense. The games where he just barely kills his opponent - sometimes even Flash - with muta/ling only.
It is a general trend zerg players start agressive and tend to transition into more lategame oriented play as they get older, must be something connected with teenage-angst
Unless you are Kwanro, Kwanro stays true to himself!
And as I am typing this Jaedong is raping Bogus with mutas :D

Jaedong loves himself some Hive these days, almost done already.

Bogus going for the siege tank pre-defiler timing push, JD stomps part of his army. JD has the map for now.
