I still don't get how anyone can use JD's game against Last as evidence that he isn't S-class. Let's not pretend like Flash never made some poor decisions and got into a bad position against mediocre players. What makes S-class players stand out is that even when they're in a bad position, they manage to crawl their way out of it and ultimately win the game whereas most other players would completely fall apart.

Also, what's the point of making meaningless statements like "if that was Flash or Light, Jaedong would've gotten destroyed"? There have also been occasions where Flash got into a bad/vulnerable position against lesser zergs but ended up winning anyway, yet you don't see people commenting about how if that was Jaedong instead, Flash would've been raped. Apart from being completely meaningless, those comments are really unfair to the players who managed to put themselves in an advantageous position against the likes of Flash and JD.

just saw these games and i'd have to say that i squirmed when i watched game 4

how can a terran who cheesed twice in the same game, and both got blocked (proxy bunker rush, 1 base sunken break) not automatically lose the game? I guess that is the inherent imbalance in TvZ, teh dong played his ass off, major props

1 base sunken break is not cheese and he expanded behind it. Both were blocked but they did enough damage for the game to continue, JD's handling of the delayed bunker rush was particularly poor and put him behind despite eventually beating it off (only 2 marines died, making the subsequent sunken break possible which JD sunkened too late for otherwise he would've been much better off). Inherent imbalance my ass, just enjoy the game and try to grasp what's happening instead of blaming balance.

I would argue that 1 base sunken break is cheese, since meta-game involves grabbing earlier 2nd base as soon as possible these days. A 2 base sunken break like ayumi build is more safe than a 1 base sunken break and is still considered borderline cheesy, so you get my point

yes i agree JD blocked it poorly but T cheese like bunker rush does not leave T as devastated if failed as opposed to early game Z cheese like 4 pool or 2 base ling all-in, this is where I would argue the match-up is not balanced and is hardly "fair" to both sides.

And lets not forget the fact that after the sunken break failed, Z had been on 2 bases longer than T has been, with higher worker production capability, and yet this difference was not enough to stop T from entering mid-late game as a Z

I am casting this game in English on my youtube channel if anyone is interested!

The first game is really low quality, but the rest are fine. Enjoy.
