At so many points in the game, Last was so close to breaking JD's spine, but somehow JD would defend by a sliver.

Surprisingly, he played a similar game vs Baby a while ago where he was in a rather disadvantageous position and battled back to win it. Honestly, while watching that game, would you call the Zerg Jaedong not knowing that he's playing? JD used to be so much better than this. ![]()

Last played very well, he played a better SK terran lategame than Leta/Fantasy usually do. He played a very strong TvZ and macro'd well and kept multitasking and keeping map control with mines. Now if it was Light/Flash, they would've rolled JD in that game, but last played a strong game. I have no clue how he reached dual finals last season, but he did, and he keeps bringing in results.

Jaedong used to play with awesome decision making, great multitasking and superb micro. This game his drones quit mining for several minutes, and it took him 20+ minutes to defeat a low ranked Terran who failed a 7rax bunker rush.

What other Zerg right now would you say could play like that? The multi-tasking, the micro, the decision making... He's still the best. (Zero can play at this level but only sometimes). edit: Also, Jaedong's drone count was really low early in that game. He had to sacrifice a lot to build lings, lost some drones and lost more to build sunkens. Of course it will take time to recover from that. Not that he hasn't played better in the past though...

Him losing would either be something very strange and not just regular play. Recently, his opponents have been pushing him to the limit quite often, and as a spectator with a vested interest in him winning, it gives me a heart attack, but I guess for a neutral fan, the games would be much more entertaining, with the razor thin defenses in this game.
