In fact, I don't really know if he should of taken his 5th. Having expo is great, but you need units to defend the expo, which is what bisu neglected to do. I think its a fundamental mistake that bisu made. I agree with your assessment on why he lost the game, as you and others have said he needed to build gates + cannons at 9 instead of taking 9 nat // 11. But really Bisu's play up to that one error was very good. Even during the push I thought both Bisu and Flash played beautifully. Flash just had too many units.

Of course, BeSt wouldn't have had the chops to delay Flash with just needling his defense in many different places all the time and forcing him back. Bisu is great at the elegance and management strengths of Protoss, which makes him so deadly in PvZ, but he doesn't have the late-game brute force that the great PvT monsters have - his play-style is just very different. Considering Flash's (superb) defense in the game, Bisu managed to do the maximum damage without over-extending himself, up until his greedy late-game which opened him up for a timing push. If Bisu could have held Flash back just a little longer, his lack of (well, compared to Stork and BeSt at least) late game PvT strength wouldn't have mattered. His game-plan was great, his performance near perfect. But Flash is the best TvP player of all time by a large margin. A perfect game doesn't guarantee a win against him.

Oh and having the best player on earth in shape in the only league he's still participating in can only be good for the game too. I was frustrated while reading the Fanta vs Flash report but all in all having Fantasy all-killed KT wouldn't have been as epic as this.

Bisu started the game completely in control and the whole game was going to his rhythm. He was harassing, containing, and expanding and never let Flash settle. His plan here is very similar to his game vs Mind on Tornado. Keep Terran pinned while expanding and then recall to delay/ slow T push enough to just let his expansions blow up and take such a lead the other guy might as well call GG. He can even kill the opponent with just recalls after a while with 20+ gates operational. On Icarus you cannot really split your forces defending your nat + 3rd as Terran as it has to be very widespread because of the terrain and if a recall went off in the main he could use that window to break that front easily. Flash was prepared though with vigilant vessels and turrets/mines. Flash just hit the perfect timing while canceling out recalls and getting clutch EMPs and even then it was very close. Great play from both.

Once it got to game seven, either outcome would have been equally epic. WL FTW ![]() Also, agree completely with Noxide's post above. Well said.

Fantasy : He is a top tactician but not a good strategist. In a battle situation he micros well and always strike at the weakest position of the enemy line. The problem is that he's weak when it comes to strategic decision : which base should I attack ? where should I put my army ? where's he gonna strike ? He can win most battles with smaller army but he just loses it in the grand scheme of things. Ssak : This guy is the opposite of Fantasy : a good strategist since he knows exactly where to drop and where to defend, but his unit control - tactic is bad so he lost army and die. Bisu : Bisu is bad at mind game. Many of his losses are due to him failing to read his opponents and so he made stupid decisions that cost him the games. His strong point is his pre-game plan which most of the time put the opponent to a bad situation. Flash is good at both strategy and tactics, and his mind game / decision making is good too, that's why he won against players who are strong at one aspect and weak at another.
