I don't know guys. I don't think PerfectMan stands a chance against the legend, Bye.
Baby Bear all the way (and Hogil)
Perfectman might try to cheese his way into the Ro16. And it might work.

Yeah, basically only the player who loses twice without winning doesn't advance, no matter which of the 3 starting players they are. hmm...but PM needs only 1 win to advance while the winner of Midas/Hogil needs to win again...

still perfect man needs only 1 win the other 2 need 2 wins not saying their situation hasnt improved since its still 2 out of 3 instead of out of 4 but the advantage is still in perfectman 's favour and it should go to the highest kespa ranking (midas )
imo they should just do an OSL 2-1 tiebreaker. much more entertaining ^_^

The loser of Midas/Hogil only needs one win to advance. But yeah Perfectman still gets a slight advantage Midas stretching his neck...Hogil cracking his knuckles. Baby Bear!!!!!

Nah, they would only need one win in the final game. It's not fair, but hogil/midas had just as much a chance of their opponent retiring as perfectman did.

Perfectman for Royal Road.
Time to run the triathlon! Midas the terran at 8 Hogil the zerg at 12
I've got to say, with the evolution of modern strategies - I like TvZ and TvP the best forward 8? rax outside Midas's nat Hogil is scouting pretty early though - but not the right way
ohshit - Hogil goes 12hatch Midas just needs to control well
pool starts, first rine is already out - drone now arrives to see the early rax! dun dun dun! hogil taking his main gas too
On December 30 2010 17:10 Zona wrote: I've got to say, with the evolution of modern strategies - I like TvZ and TvP the best forward 8? rax outside Midas's nat Hogil is scouting pretty early though - but not the right way
On average? Because TvT has the most potential (even if it's barely reached). PvP is awesome when the games go past a second base.
midas starts a bunker quite beyond the nat, another scv enters hogil's main hogil pulling 6 or so drones to fight, one bunker done, another being leapfrogged forwards

ZVZ MOST POTENTIAL
hogil brings his 6 drones to attack the 2nd bunker - bad idea - rines can just attack and midas can retreat to the other way he pulls back, starts 2 creeps 2nd bunker finishes, midas adding a 3rd but the 2 sunkens finish, midas cancels one bunker and loses another midas takes his own nat
hogil saves his nat, has an okay amount of drones - midas probably has an equal or higher amount of workers, actually midas addd his gas and starts his academy 2 more raxes (to 3)
What the-?! Why would Midas let that bunker get destroyed? Why didn't he focus down the sunkens first?
United States 13143 Posts
So who came out ahead in all that? Hogil had to build sunkens, but Midas built 3 bunkers. I guess he ended slightly better off than Hogil.
I'd actually like this format for the GSL's A/S class matches. Loser of two games gets relegated. Anyway, go Midas! And of course PerfectMan, but we don't have to cheer for him because he's perfect anyway and doesn't need it.
lair finishes, spire starting hogil also taking his back nat, breaking the eggs with lings...that'll take awhile academy finishes, scanners starting, 3 medics out hogil adding another 2 creeps to his nat
ebay finishes for midas, starts upgrading mnm chilling outside hogil's nat, there's 4 sunkens with another on the way I think midas came out ahead of that attack, hogil lost enough drones to make it worthwhile midas tries to break the sunkens, loses a lot of rines!
mutas out - midas's turrets at his nat not on time? no turrets in his main? bunker starting at the nat mutas at the nat before a single turret finishes! midas adding factory
hogil taking a 4th at 2 midas adding machine shop and starport mutas visit the main and pick off a few things
mutas net a few more scv kills at the main mineral line - only one turret covering it midas adding control tower - is there a facility? observer hasn't shown one, at least... queen's nest finishes, hive starts
Since Jaedong's waiting for whoever gets second, this is really more like one person advancing.
hogil netting quite a few kills at the nat mineral line despite 3 turrets there - pretty good control armory done, no facility so a valk coming for midas, I guess first tank is out
mutas take some valk hits and back off another creep being added to hogil's nat - hogil doesn't even have a den does he? this could be painful...

Jaedong's hungry for HoGiL I think.
wtf is that a small force of marines with one medic? oh, there's a valk with it, it looked suicidal to me
United States 13143 Posts
Midas just throws away his valk
midas with a decent sized mnm force and at least 2 tanks - the 2 tanks siege at hogil's outer sunken line, where even more sunkens are being added greater spire coming mutas pick off one of the tanks! but another 2 come to reinforce
stupid scourge fail to hit the 2nd valk... (first destroyed by mutas head to head) 3 sunkens down another tank picked off by mutas! greater spire finishes, midas scans it!
United States 13143 Posts
So many sunkens, I guess hogil can afford it with that fast fourth
man, I hate when players try to do standard strategies on unusual maps...often doesn't work out very well midas taking a 3rd at 7.5 a few guardians and one devourer out

too bad winning this game doesn't actually help Hogil advance. Instead it gives him another chance to lose before being eliminated.

guardians are great for base defense vs mnm...so much dps

Yes exactly what I am thinking, he had shit bio and now its average progamer level and he does the most bio heavy build instead of the meching I know and love from him.

unlike most mid-tier players in PL nowadays overpool it seems like? wasn't paying too close attention PM's probe arrives in hogil's main starts a forge at his nat
Actually it's quite possible no one wants the first seed, only the second Let's hope they don't throw games
Going for a good ole forge fe
hogil taking his 2nd base at 4.5, he takes his main gas too cannon, nex for PM
hogil also takes his nat I wonder what kind of show PM will give us today starts a gateway at his choke and his main gas lair starts for hogil, is pm's scout even around? no?
core starts for PM, OL in his main sees everything worth seeing PM sending a probe back to hogil's base - one ling courteously gives it a pat on the back and allows it into the main
stargate for pm, OL sees it spire starts almost immediately after is that an idle probe outside PM's nat gas? well it's mining normally now 2 stargates for PM

scourge arrive in PM's main and scouts everything - know hogil knows what's up a few zealots and a goon moving out, the simcity at the nat already half done (but with a spore, not a sunken) mutas are out, attacking wandering zealots goon shoots at the walling hatchery, lings come out to attack it
Hm PM isn't playing this right so far.

his tech feels pretty damn late -_-
sairs visit hogil's 3rd, leave after bumping into a spire mutas raiding pm's nat, where he started a robo and 2nd gate 7/8 slow ol's grouped at hogil's nat - a tasty prize but hogil quickly adds a lot of hydra to cover them PM adding a 3rd and 4th cannon at his choke (he also has 1 at the nat min line) adds 3? more gates in his main (to 5?)
perfectman is so dead hogil produces only like 4 muta and the rest are hydras if perfectman doesnt achieve to kill like 10 overlords in the next min he's out

hydra quickly accumulating at pm's nat - good stuff pm adding another 2 cannons, 3 cannons as most of his cannons fall one dt out but OL speed is done and one OL joins the hydra
Those hydras had to come and ruin all the fun didn't they
PM does bring his sair mass to kill the ONE OL with hogil's hydra but hogil breaks into the nat - there's no more dts PM concedes weak, as usual

PM actually tried to hide his tech, he faked +1 ground on forge to promote the mutas from hogil, his problem was Hogil's spire was done faster than he anticipated resulting in the 2 scourge scouting his 2 star +1 air, probably needed to work on that timing a bit

bunker at Midas's nat 1 goon heading out 2nd gateway for PM - another build I don't think will work for him but a citadel!
perfectman gonig to dt cheese the rest of this season's pvt's
Midas starts his first factory hopefully PM doesn't totally fail in denying scouting, his probe is tailing Midas's scouting SCV
hmmm, oh man here we go again lol
Midas adds a 2nd factory (not an ebay...)
slight delay between the completion of the citadel and starting of the archives - I'm not impressed goons moving out to bombard the bunker Midas adding academy
4 goons - bunker almost falls but midas adds another 2 scvs to repair just in time scanners start as the academy finishes 1 tank out - goons move to attack it, but it backs off
2 dts heading out, pm takes his nat tank getting repaired I don't hear any scans - did midas conserve his scanner energy? no, he burns one scan at his nat!
nice control by perfectman so far

midas even loses his bunker - when it rains it pours! 2nd dt kills another tank, now in the main - wandering around? scan at the nat - the dt doesn't even die! 2 more dts coming in!
the dts are doing a ton of damage. Might eevn let the goons break in
Midas didn't cancel academy / scanner, he should have this ! edit : o noes
What the hell is Midas doing? Why the hell would you move out at that time?
Wait, what did he do with the first scan?
turret under construction at the nat destroyed - mines done, but dts survive 2 mines scvs run back into the main midas laying mines outside his bridges, dts taking damage but getting past them! 2 dts working on the nat comtsat!
scan, 1 dt killed but the other survives and the nat comsat goes down mine? destroyed by dt! another scan as scanner at the nat is under construction again another 2 dts fall another dt comes and destroys 3 mines - dies to a 4th though

He used it on his bunker when the DTs hadn't even arrived yet.
well, that's not gg yet, but that did a TON of damage and perfectman is way ahead

Midas manages to clear his base, but his nat was shut down for a fairly significant amount of time
midas adding armory, pm with a gateway at his nat 5 vultures visit pm's nat - pick off a dt with scan, lay some mines, backs off PM taking a 3rd at 4.5
that was really bad by perfectman, i've never seen a pro run so many dts into mines
midas adding a 3rd cc at his min-only PM adds a 4th gate in his main, his robo finishes, adds observatory

both players taking their thirds now, PM's is hidden at the 5 main

wow midas actually managed to defned that
I like how Midas is taking his 3rd early though. PM is scared by the vultures so he probably won't punish it.

Just barely though
midas's push please work :<

still plenty of opportunities remaining for PM to give away the game midas moves out 2 tanks 6 vultures to pm's bridges pm's units sit their dumbly until they start taking hits midas in range of the nat gateway...

lol PM is screwd now midas tvp toog ood
wow nat gets shut down :O pm how would you explain this loss?
PerfectMan let himself get contained pretty hard here...
midas now sieging perfectman's nat vults sneak around and start trying to kill probes, but only get a couple PM is going to lose his nat and he has really bad saturation at 5
nooo perfectman, please say you haven't failed me

WOW midas such a baller this game
EVERYTHING DIES MIDAS IN GREAT POSITION
PM runs his probes from his nat, still losing goons one by one to tank shells Midas dealing so much damage with just 3 tanks - shuttle out though, zealot bombs! PM tries to rush the 2 remaining tanks, fails horribly...now 1 tank and 4 vultures left vultures head into the main!

lol perfectman. Midas is stepping all over him now.
and PM's WHOLE army is dead now
What the hell I did not expect this to happen

That was a really bad push break, this looks pretty over.
That was EXCELLENT reaction and counter from Midas though (after the early retardness with the scan and attack that is).
stargate done but I don't think it'll come into play midas with more tanks and vultures incoming arbiter tribunal starts dt heading towards midas's 3rd though pm losing more units at his bridges and concedes midas with a smile

Despite the early scan, Midas managed to get his shit together combined with PM's pretty awful DT control.

Someone explain to me how Perfectman ever became a progamer? He did a ton of damage, but fucked up so badly by sending in a another 4-5 DT just to die and then lost to a small push partially beccause of awfull control
PerfectMan... *shakes head*
Ok I could be wrong but was that the first time someone made a face like that and still won?
how did perfectman lose that after midas's fail scan. ah, well, gg
Is it possible to not smile when Midas wins?
why so imperfect perfectman?
HAHA, Midas IN!! :D Great defense against DTs.
how could this happen?!

hahaha, I was thinking the same thing
Midas was doomed but I am so glad he advanced over Perfectman Go Midas
MIDAS!! In spite of always having been a Protoss player, I must admit, DTs are meh. Glad to see Midas pull through. :D

Midas touch. Perfect
Now I get to sit here for 15 minutes with a heart that is worried for Bisu . I really hope he makes it.
Midas after game is like that game was ez pz from those facial expressions
Moments like this make BW so awesome to watch, somehow he did it with the help of random mines (could work, could not) , the failed turret block and what not Love it !

Bisu had a surprised face when Calm lurker busted him but still pulled through.

I don't know, both Midas and PM have a chance against JD, IMO. PM, because of the teamkill factor (see Hiya). and while Midas isn't at his peak form, he's doing pretty well, and JD isn't as invincible now as he once was. And Midas-JD would likely offer much more enjoyable games to watch.
where can i find how r16 incoming matches so far?
Midas is gonna get rolled by jaedong ... Again! or maybe a miracle will happen and jaedong will get owned the same way flash did
Do we have a pic of that first face? We should combine them!
well, at least it was over quickly... so I can watch Bisu getting roflstomped by shine again...
And next is Shine. It will be fun But damn, Hogil is in both leagues lol

Oh yay, Midas made it! :D And lmfao, Hogil advancing... Well, what could we really expect from Perfectman? Hope that Midas can make it really far this time!
Who would have thought the only 3 Terrans to advance are Ssak, Classic and Midas.
Haha, Midas v.s. Jaedong. That's a match worth looking forward to! I wouldn't mind if Midas eliminates Jaedong either...boosting Bisu/Stork's shot at the MSL...:p
HOLY EFFING PERFECTMAN !?!?!?!?! what the hell .....

Even a bye wasn't enough to get him past this group. I guess he can always hope for 2 byes next season.
Perfectman is so bad... the mistakes in both games were horrible. The DT's should have finished the game no question about it, jesus christ. Then what kind of defence was that of his natural? Instead of sitting outside the bridge and getting some hits ill just sit next to nexus and wait for them to lay mines and slow push into my base. Also thats the single situation in which a scout might actually be useful in a game, you got a stargate and no arb tech so just get one for the hell of it. Get lucky with SCV killing and you might be able to pick off a tank or 2 making it worth its cost. But seriously. He should NOT be an A-teamer.
perfect man is so good he builds lots of dts and 12 nexus a lot

Jaedong's hungry for HoGiL I think.
HoGiL's hungry. hehe
