SK Telecom T1 is so far undefeated this round. They're on the verge of being the first team to finish the round without a single defeat. Their team is made of superstars and budding talent, they are without weakness, without vulnerabilities, and is to proleague what Flash feels like to the individual leagues. Bisu, who is undefeated in this season's proleague, has shown a mysterious weakness vs ACE, but statistically is nonetheless favored against everyone on the opposing roster. BeSt, who has shown a mysterious weakness vs zerg, is statistically favored against everyone on the opposing roster. Fantasy, who has shown a mysterious weakness vs everything in the first round, is also statistically favored against everyone on the opposing roster. That's already a likely 3 wins, bringing us to an ace match where one of them can clean up. But we won't ever get to that ace match, because the rest of SKT is just as good, if not better than anything ACE has to offer. Kwanro can be a reliable source of wins, and mix in s2, n.die_soO, Canata, Ssak, By.Sun, and Hyuk and we're almost guranteed another win in the remaining 3 sets, if not outright stomping them 4-0 or 4-1.
Air Force ACE on the other hand is 2-4 this round. They don't have much hope of making the playoffs, they never have. So far they've won games by occasionally surpassing all expectations for a single set, or by beating everyone except the other team's ace player. That doesn't work against SKT. ACE is made primarily of their 3 zergs, ggaemo, GoRush, and YellOw, their 2 protoss, M18M and Much, and their two terrans, RuBy and firebathero. Seems well balanced right? Except Ruby and FBH are both primarily vZ players, and SKT does NOT depend on their zergs. YellOw and GoRush seem to win only when they cheese. ggaemo, M18M, and Much are who I'm looking at to score the wins ACE will need, the rest depends on luck, with whether the cheese will work or if Ruby/fbh gets a zerg. Good luck ACE, you're gonna need it~

After such a dark time for Protoss, I think we should all tolerate Bisu fanboyism a lot more.
Because he's the hero Protoss deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll put our hopes on him. Because he can take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a sexy progamer, a proud champion. The Dark Templar.
Thought that there were more SKT and less Bisu fans. Oh well. SKT will win 4-1 or 4-2, depending on how many scrubs Park uses. I think he'll definently use at least one, mabey two or three.

HRMMM Its not raining tomorrow... this means that Airforce Ace isn't going to win... but hey, 40% chance of raining on Thursday, I'll take my chances
firebathero > fantasy
ever since fantasy made that remark in the interview claiming that "he wants to be able to compete with Jaedong and Flash" and calling Flash his rival, the more i am convinced he's just a scrub judging by the results this season. Further humiliation would be amazing, and who better to do it than firebathero?
Yellow > Bisu
sry but it's about time Bisu finally gets washed out and thrown into the storm. bisu's 7 wins were all shaky lucky wins (or the opponents played like shit) and once the storm ends, bisu will go back to kim yong taek mode
ggaemo > Best
yeah best beating a zerg *lol* best lost to orion ffs
ruby > [insert skt zerg here]
skt zerg has ballooned up enough, it's time their bubbles popped and thrown into the ground
hey what happend to the player ratings? I really enjoy reading the TL writers opinions on the strategies and individual style of each player, complimented by the "match-as-a-whole" report
anyways, SKT shouldn't have too much trouble, although one can never be sure when going up against a team full of pioneers. In an interview (sorry I dont have the link handy), I believe it was fantasy who said ACE is one of the teams he fears the most.. + Show Spoiler +
maybe it's because if they lose its ultimate fail against a team who doesn't practice for 10 hours a day like everyone else? lol jk
As much as I think T1 will win, the way you put down Ace was unnecessary... They do deserve respect in their own right - not saying you bashed them but come on...
It would be great if FBH played vs BeSt, just so I can see another terran fall in the name of Auir! Personally I don't think anyone on ace would be much of a challenge for Bisu except for maybe FBH, and possibly Much. SKT FIGHTING!

best player in terms of peak elo on ace is actually gorush. it's amazing that he broke 2300 and was above boxer and yellow yet is barely mentioned as a zerg master. t1 zerg representing

Was GoRush in his prime when he played Stork in 06?

Those were from OSL/MSL writeups, not LR threads (nor for PL).

Gorush wasn't a true SKT Zerg though. He was already on the decline when he was purchased.
Hype Hype Hype Hype. Will SKT become the 1st team to go undefeated in a round? Will SKT Zergs (in particular SKT_SOO) continue contribute towards team wins?
A FanTaSy FBH game would be wicked amazing as they are both renowned for their TvT (FanTaSy v FlaSh last MSL semi-finals was the most impressive and awe inspiring TvT I have ever watched.) Yellow vs Bisu again? A shame there is no Ridge of Heartbreak in the map pool anymore but I hope they play just for the epicness. BeSt will use brute-force macro to pummel his way through anyone on Central Plains, storm dropping mineral lines while never ceasing to make more units. Kwanrolling served up today to maybe?

well...if you put it that way, skt really have no true zergs. s2? lol
yellow aiming to take the 4th now, and by sun watches over it for a bit before deciding to leave it alone and attack the 3rd. which is completely unguarded. yellow tries to counter with his mutas but no dice, too many cannons. sairs raping scourge and ovies, and yellow about to lose his lair.
Yellow has about 6 idle drones in his main. Sniping HT but Sun is almost at 4 bases now and this is just a waiting game for Yellow to concede as he is so far behind economically.
Besides the tons of canon everywhere, Sun played pretty solidly - although Yellow also played very poorly. Is this what SKT needs - a third protoss who can dominate games or is this the Legend of the Fall where Bisu inspires Toss everywhere to rise?

i actually fully support sun's decision to mass cannon. yellow's build was decidedly all-in, and relied on doing a lot of damage. the cannons kept him safe, and while bisu might have held with only 2 at each choke, doubling that did not disadvantage him.

Sun played meh. He hardly got any observers against a lurker heavy comp.

The thing is that the amount of cannons limited his army in the early game so Yellow was somewhat free to expand and try to make up for his initial BO economic disadvantage. All this was rendered irrelevant after the DT harass, however.
Holy god Livestream needs to fix their ads, constantly interrupting my full screen. Might as well make it a premium service. I dont mind accumulating ad-free time, but damn...
reaver is out and sitting in bisu's nat. rock aiming to make another attack? not likely, and bisu's shuttle should be coming out soon. rock's own reaver is on the way.
OMG sick sick sick reaver shuttle micro from Bisu. Very impressive to watch his control. Just well-placed shots throughout the push on the natural and took out 2 reavers on its own so that his dragoons could continue their push forwards.
That game was why I still prefer to watch BW proleague over GSL even though I have bought a premium pass for both seasons so far. So entertaining and awe-inspiring to watch the mastery of micro there. That was like watching Bisu earlier in his career when he was untouchable PvP due to his multitasking.
That last attack was a superb engagement area for Bisu. Rock got funneled into that choke while Bisu had a great concave. Rock was in a terrible position and got completely destroyed.
Oh god, listening to Orange Camel on Craton's stream just gave me an image of Fantasy and co dancing to that in my head.. OH GOD. IT IS LIKE A NIGHTMARE
What even happened? I looked away as I saw FBH move out with like 5 tanks and 2 vultures and BeSt had more than enough goons and I look back and hes basically dead O_o
I swear, FBH is probably the only player who doesn't have anti-fans :'D He's definitely polishing that PvT, didn't he go through WL last year tearing through tosses with timing pushes as well?

Oh I didnt follow. What did ACE do to him? Khan has the best Ps and he still failed hard
If you remember for awhile FBH had a crazy vP streak where he killed like 4 of the dragoons back to back or something. Since then he didnt play much and went to ace. I guess he still has that touch. He's been great vs P in his last games

you were obviously not here for the end of the savior years.

It was long time ago man, he was in a group of 3 Ps so he got the training advantage. Didnt he get raped by scout when he faced Bisu again in the same season? His TvP was painful to watch
SoO continuing his strong start to the season. I agree the offensive creep colony was very Kwanro-esque. Speaking of Kwanro, it's been a while since we've seen him play in PL. Coach Park seems to be giving his spot to the youngsters for the sake of experience.

Solid players overall and a deep line-up FTW
Teams like Jaedong OZ are suffering the worst, as now Jaedong can *only* win half of the games, instead of 2/3. One trick pony teams just aren't cutting it; best of sevens are really bringing out the team aspect.
So Bisu is 8-0 this Proleague right? I just hope he can remain undefeated long enough to win an OSL or MSL. I miss Protoss winning a StarLeague. A lot.
On November 10 2010 16:00 Lebesgue wrote: wow, FBH beat Best... how?
A great timing attack and contain with sieged tanks, lots of mines in front, and the map's natural walls, which created a long chokepoint that Best couldn't get out of. FBH took out Best's natural from this spot, and sniped some gateways. Then got more vultures and it was GG.

he already lost to kal 2-1 in the MSL wildcards. but that isn't very important, so he's undefeated in games that matter :D

Yeah, I remember the wildcard game now that you mention it. Well, let me rephrase, I just hope he plays at this level long enough to win the OSL or MSL as he and Protoss in general deserve another win!
lol Best losign to FBH At least I hope ACE let him do a nice ceremony. Going to watch this asap, I'm wondering how the Flash slayer lost to one of the worst TvP player
eh since when do people like firebathero, i thought he was possibly the most hated player of all time. i guess savior match fixing kind of nullified that. can't wait for VODs.
