Even though the Bo7 format gets lots of flak from Jaedong Oz fans, it has hit other teams too. Do you remember the end of last season where ACE had improved a lot, played some fascinating games, and somehow lost the Ace match soon after? I do, and as someone who had the ACE tag at that time, it broke my heart till the wins started rolling in. Now, with the Bo7 format, there might be new opportunities and more severe defeats from the likes of KT and SKT1. MBCGame does not have the luxury of scoffing over ACE, though. As of now, they have only two strongly performing players, and Tyson, Hyun, and Jaehoon seem to only win when their opponent is performing horribly as well (I'm looking at YOU, Jangbi!). The new name bridge seems to fit Tyson especially well, since in the last few games he appeared to be a walkover. And here's the shocker. I predict ACE to win this. YellOw, Ruby and Much have shown a deep hunger for wins, and when they do not choke worse than Really currently does, ggaemo, M18M and Firebathero (Insert big question mark here) might be enough to triumph over the limping MBC crew. Without further ado: Set 1: Much < Empire of the Sun > Saint Set 2: RuBy < Grand Line SE > Sea Set 3: firebathero< Circuit Breaker > HyuN Set 4: ggaemo< Aztec > Tyson Set 5: YellOw< Fortress >Light Set 6: M18M< Benzene > Jaehoon Ace Match: < Central Plains > ACE wins 4-2.
Watch this game. Excellent play from winner which led the loser to desperation, even though he played well. Also, knowing who played, you can't call yourself a BW fan if you don't watch this.

To all of those who asked about the KHAN pic: I manually wrote the numbers and since ACE is the 10-th remaining team, I wrote 10 instead of 12 in the identifying part. Fixed now.

I was watching kt vs wemade but it seems that ace vs mbc is more exciting.. Glad to know that fbh is now playing for ace. I'm hoping that they could take this.
Wow 4-0 ACE!! I dunno which is more surprising, ACE sweeping MBC or ggaemo beating Sea. Last game was very entertaining, I really thought Sea would've had that.

I was starting to get worried because ggaemo would lose so much of his army to fortified positions, but then he managed to take out one of Sea's bases, and I assume he managed to crush the last-ditch push during buffer. Even tho he lost one of his mining bases he still had enough with Sea being unable to reinforce very effectively, I guess.
ACE 4-0'ed MBC Game.... holy shit BW has changed so much since SC2 came out hahaha. I have and always will love Airforce ACE. Their creator has switched to SC2, but ACE will always have BW in its heart. Airforce ACE HWAITING!

I'm pretty sure Ruby improved after going to Ace as well. We could be seeing the same with M18M. I suppose these players never got the game time they needed to shine; Ace is giving them exactly that. And me neither on seeing Ggaemo playing that well.

Though I think this is the first time ACE went 3-0/4-0 in standard format team leagues.
I hope ACE starts admitting more people, since their main problem was lack of practice partners, and with new fresh blood and more players coming ACE is getting stronger.
ACE has been looking fairly decent this year (sure it's only a few games in but they managed to take a few wins off STX too and it sure as hell beats 0-4 blowouts).

Debatable. He was always a monster at TvZ and would very much be the best terran on most other teams lacking a strong terran lineup. However, because of Light and Sea being overall much better than him, there was really any reason to send him out.
especially in the bo7 format which i think should hurt ACE far more as they need to field more players :s
I wonder if you can draw conclusions that the pro-gamers ridiculous training hours can in fact be detrimental, provided ACE gets far less practice, more sunlight, and have managed to get players like RuBy [and potentially M18M (and Firebathero out of his slump)] to perform much better than they did in their previous environments

Awesome! I knew this would come sooner or later and it has come today. ACE's coach is very good and especially his solution for the practice partner problem has diminished the difference between ACE players and others. Besides that, the coach has a good eye for talent, as he succeeds in not only using old players like Much and Firebathero, but also in offering unknowns like M18M and ggaemo a fair chance.
I'm especially surprised by ggaemo, as beating Sea, the clutch player of MBC, in the fourth set with a 3-0 lead is very difficult. I fully expected it to go to 3-3, similar to the match against STX, but ggaemo stepped up and showed real class.
On the other hand, MBC is at the moment in shambles and is not comparable in power to any other team. Beating powerhouses like SKT and KT, or even Hentus or Wemade FOX, will be a lot tougher. Still this is a change of pace for ACE and gives hope for a bright future.

GG WP by ACE. I was really appalled when I looked at the lineups (been watching the other match all along) and it seemed to me like ACE just got rolled so badly, but I literally leapt when I saw it was the other way around lol. ^^
just watched it, what a game ! at a moment, ggaemo just got his 3rd sacked by vults and his 4th was just up, while Sea has already secured his 3rd and started his 4th, and was laying down a shitload of mines in the middle of the map. It still don't know how ggaemo managed to change the game in his favor, but that was brilliant !
the same here: ggaemo made my day. I thought late game T just has an advantage which is difficult to beat; and now here comes ggaemo and shows that it is actually possible :-). Cool!

The entire time watching ggaemo vs. Sea I was just thinking "omg ggaemo so bad worst drop ever worst walk into mine ever worst no defilers anywhere ever." I was so sure he was dead until like that last three minutes.
Such a sloppy awkward game but amazing nonetheless, just because of the result and course it took. Sea had a cc right outside ggaemo's main for so long... I honestly was hoping ggaemo would lose so I could see someone cooler, but I'm satisfied.
AHAHAHAHA I clicked on line-ups, saw 4 sets and gravely prepared for the worst - didn't even click recommended games and was fully expect 4-0 clicking on results.
