I honestly think Cho was getting too carried away with how good he was at player sniping and map selection, to the point where his players weren't really good at multiple match-ups at the same time. Everyone on CJ was just so one-dimensional at the end of last season. They lost their excitement for me so I switched to SKT fandom.

A pretty good example is Snow. We all know he's good at all matchups, considering the fact that he was dream league bonjwa and that he's played rather well as a #2 recently. But all we saw of him was a PvT sniper when he came to snipe Flash. That was probably Cho's doing. Effort was the only one who really looked good at all 3 matchups, and even he had moments of highly questionable play. Also, what Kwanro said about the CJ/WJN/SKT coaching is worth considering.

+ Show Spoiler + IMO his parents dealt with the FA situation very poorly last year. Instead of asking for more money, they shld have settled for less then perhaps teams like SKT might have considered signing him. But the financial situation of teams was so bad last season noone was willing to offer him what his Oz contract was worth. Overall a very bad loss but I think Hite Entus has one of the strongest lineups so maybe there's still a chance for Oz this season if Hiya starts pulling his weight.
