The reason why Light and Sea can never achieve anything while Flash can is because Flash doesn't play as if he's terrified of his opponent. No matter who his opponent is, Flash takes risks and doesn't play as if he's scared of his opponent and that's why he's probably going to make dual finals yet again. Not once did Sea move outside his comfort zone nor did he ever play standard bio terran. Mech every single game because its "imba" and he needs its "imbaness" to take down Jaedong. This is what Flash and Fantasy have in common. They'll do whatever it takes to win, even if it means doing a gay bunker rush or 14CC every single game. I think Light beating Effort is far more surprising than Sea losing to Jaedong. I honestly expected Light to get utterly crushed because of how badly he can play in high pressure situations (against Pure, against Tempest, against Kwanro). Bizarre Effort never attempted to kwanroll Light like he does against Flash. | ||

That's why Sea never gets anywhere in a SL. He is just so predictable and safe. Just look at how Fantasy played in his series vs Calm. He mixes in 'cheesy' buils with the Mech builds to balance it out. That's why he actually gets far in SL every now and then, despite having a lower winrate then Sea overall | ||

Light is the epitome of a solid but not great Terran - someone who understands what to do and is able to ride metagame waves (such as the current T > Z one) to success. That's why he's never gone this deep into a league until now (finally got a TvZ run when the matchup metagame/maps have aligned). He hasn't suddenly gotten amazing against Zerg - Light has always been extremely good at digesting a situation and understanding what to do, which is why he was the first Terran to do a lot of things such as win on Battle Royale. But that doesn't make him better at TvZ than the most skilled Terran of all time in his prime. Just look at the Triathlon game against Effort. Once things started to get out of hand, Light started to lose control over the situation. Flash would never have made that stupid "give away 10 Tanks for nothing at a moment when I absolutely need to turtle" move in a million years. It's just one moment but it's representative of the difference between them. | ||
