You've obviously never tried it urself. Pylons have 3x the HP cannons do. Most of the time u end up losing like 10 hydras and with each hydra your DPS goes down so u realize u cant kill the cannon and back off

A pylon is actually pretty tough, and unless there's like 1.5 groups of hydras focus firing it, by the time you finish killing the pylon you'll be left with heavy casualties and the second pylon almost warped in (assuming the protoss isn't stupid and got more than 2-3 cannons standing when you start firing at the pylon).
