You do realize that Kal is seeded into the Ro36, along with Movie and Pure, right?
Granted, Movie and Pure are not really hopeful, but Kal should be able to get far (though it's been pretty conclusively shown that he doesn't have what it takes to beat Flash or Jaedong).

What other Protoss are there? Almost every halfway decent Protoss (including all dragons and all "rising hopes") qualified. Basically Flying and Violet are the only significant P's I can think of that didn't qualify.

Awesome job idra, so little practice and still going 2-1 / 1-2 considering how much other progamers have been practicing exclusivly for sc1.

I don't really think that Flying or Violet are any more significant than GuemChi.

I think the Protoss looks good. JangBi is slumping, BeSt is slumping Bisu is slumping... sure, its just that Protoss itself isn't good shape. I'd like to see Stork as much as anyone- but in Raw numbers- I'm glad Zerg is the least populous.
Did you guys read the list on the last page? Stork and Kal are in the OSL.

GO Mantoss! At least one older toss won, if it wasnt possible for ra to qualify.

Other than like, Violet I guess. How can it not look like a great list of Protoss? I mean, Reach qualified. That automatically makes it the best possible Protoss list.

Oh, and in case you didn't know: OSL/MSL champions are quite often unexpected to win at the beginning of the tournament, so your arguments for Stats, Snow, Shuttle, Jangbi, heck, even Best dont make much sense. They all have a shot, and I would give the best shots to Snow and Best. As for Bisu, dropping one game to Stats due to a BO loss does not mean he's still in his slump (he did 4-0 his easy group I believe, so of course there's no evidence he's out of his slump either). If Bisu were to make it to the Round of 8 undefeated, I would give him the greatest chance out of the Protoss to win it all. But yes, Brave, Pusan, and Reach are all fail, while Free, Kal, and Stork all have a decent chance (you didn't mention the last two because of your oversight).
So yes, you can always say something bad about almost any given player, regardless of the race. "He's good, but not enough to win, according to me." "He's in a slump, according to me." "He's on equal footing as a guy who's in a slump" (even though Best clearly meant that in a good way in his interview, implying Bisu will be out of his slump). "He's old/sucks/can only win with a miracle."
>_< I mean honestly, like I said, who can you exclude from this style of criticism but Jaedong, Effort, and Flash of Terran and Zerg and Free, Kal, and Snow of Protoss right now (and even Free and Kal are questionable)? And of course, repeating phrases with negative connotations like "i guess" multiple times for the player you admit has a chance adds more unwarranted negativity as well. Protoss are having a hard time right now, but the list of qualified players for the OSL does indeed look great (or at the least, is certainly not bad). All of the 6 dragons (it's been a while, what with all the slumps), some promising newcomers/relatively new people (Snow in particular), and some oldtimers.

You can say the same too for Canata, SkyHigh, Light, Mind, Leta, Hiya, ssak, really, ruby or Hidra, great, action, killer...
Everybody seems to slump if you compare with Flash, Jaedong and Effort. But they have a chance. Effort was slumping at the start of last OSL and He improved and won at the end.

anyway, wow, and it was JUST LAST SEASON people were complaining their ASSES off about Terran Imbalance... and it was the season before that when people were complaining about ZERG imbalance... just goes to show that this awesome game is completely unpredictable, and some people cannot stop whining. Maybe the maps are Protoss favored this time around? Should be interesting...
in other news,
CAN U CHIN IT calling it now, Stats will destroy everyone. Only Classic had a chance against him.

Idra won his first series against GoRush, 2-1 (LOLWUT) He then proceeded to nearly beat Jaehoon, losing that series 1-2... considering people were thinking that Idra was just playing this as a way to keep his progaming license...HE ALMOST MADE THE FINALS OF HIS PRELIM GROUP... DAMN good job to you idra, keep it up :D
EDIT: Someone really should put the detailed results of the 2nd half of the matches on the OP... i'd do it myself but its 3:07am and I'm really tired >.>... if nothing but for the fact that nal_ra lost 0-2 and idra nearly made the finals of his group... its more than slightly noteworthy...

Oh wow, I gotta say that's really impressive by idra. After only having played SC2 for a while it kinda took away all the bw skill I had. To still beat gorush and almost defeat jaehoon who have kept on playing BW all freakin day... not bad at all.
And yeah I agree would be nice if someone could update the up with all the results.

Yeah only if he keeps drawing terrans. He's incompetent at PvZ, more so than other protoss players, and his PvP is still worse than the majority of mainline protosses.
The protoss list is very good. The protoss players are very good but they are all weak at the PvZ matchup and the PvZ matchup itself is already ridiculously imbalanced. A lot of zergs get pretty deep in individual leagues so the minute they meet one, its pretty much autolose.
