I will believe he gets his mojo back when I see him beating medic and marine. Even hyvaa can pull of a mech win, and he was against Flash. Also, hahaha, Flash must be pissed that MVP beat his ass. Now poor baby will be the punching bag for Flash tonight. Hiya is too ugly for semi's, no magikarps allowed. Kill his ass free. Lately, the MnM to mass tank tech switch has been one of the most effective strategies in TvZ. Until today's game, it seemed nearly impossible to beat a terran who gets a bunch of expansions and starts turtling with mass tanks. Have you even seen the game? It took some of the most amazing multitasking, perfect tech switches, and an absolutely unrelenting offense on all fronts to break Midas' defense.

Jaedong was never "in trouble" and Midas never "had this game". The only Jaedong expo that ever got destroyed was 1 oclock, which didn't even count as an expo with zero drones mining. Good game nonetheless.

Jaedong could have lost the game at the very beginning when passed Midas' army with his lings and went at his natural to harass. Meanwhile Midas had his marine group parked infront of Jaedong's base where only 2 sunken colonies and almost no zerglings were protecting. If Midas had saw that, the game would have ended there.

You can tell they had a blast playing that game and can't wait to play the rest of the games. So cute.

Personally the unit composition that follows that mech switch is atrocious, at least in that game. Too many vultures and no goliaths early on. After JD got overlord speed (which was an obvious move) the mines lost a LOT of their effectiveness. Not to mention that mini muta switch JD did at one point was very annoying and was simply very cost efficient for JD. Near the end too many tanks, not enough vultures no mines to be annoying while JD tried to use his defilers. Ultras didn't really come out, the point of mass tanks is to completely rape ultras but if he didnt have a more goliath/vulture composition early on there was no reason for JD to even invest in ultras. Don't get me wrong it was a great game by both players but if Midas had a better unit composition throughout the game he should've at least been in a much better position or even won the game.

He's still probably not going to win this Bo5, of course.

![]() Bleh. Flash dropping a game was also a surprise, but seeing that MVP did win 2-0 against a red-hot Baby does indicate that MVP is riding a "MVP"-level streak going into the Flash match. Well, the next Bo5 sets should determine his fate.
