![]() It's pretty well-known that Jaehoon is a good player in practice. Light said so in an interview, and Jaehoon has also given winning strategies to Stork. And the fact that MBC persistently sends him out despite his terrible televised record also indicates that they know he can do better, but Jaehoon just consistently collapses due to his nerves. I can't imagine how frustrating that has to be, and this game against Leta seems to have been a sort of climax of all of that. At least Hyun's been winning a bit lately.

You gotta be a pretty good player to be able to beat Kal, Hiya, Shuttle and Baby in WL. Ruby once said Hyun is very good in practice too, I'm happy he's starting to win again.

Another MBC player with a reputation for choking when the stakes get high is Sea. Is there a trend here?

He just can't seem to handle a BoX match, any other format is fine. Jaehoon is basically nerves almost all the time. The rest of the team are fine. Iron just plain sucks. MBC is definitely a team that is prone to psychological weakness... that's why it's really worrying that the coaches are making these discouraging attempts to cultivate new aces. It might backfire and just kill team morale if/when they realize that Sea and Light are their only players that will ever be able to consistently deliver results.

I'd rather he have put in Jaehoon as the starter. That would have been a better decision rather than let him sweat it out for 2 hrs on the bench awaiting his turn against Leta. Stupid move. Having said that, I don't think it will affect overall team morale. Most teams rely on a couple of players to consistently deliver, MBC is not the only one. It's just really silly to crush an individual player's confidence with such a move.
