Fantasy's overly defensive stance allowed calm to expo to 4 base (3 gas) with an army of no more than a handful of lings. his econ was great. The first attack on the nat (with all the lurkers) was also worth the tradeoff, since it wiped out fantasy's forces and forced him to turtle again. Very greedy build, but it was entertaining. | ||

And since Calm was basically pumping pure drone all that time, his economy was wicked strong compared to normal games at that timing. | ||

That seems to be the conclusion borne out by this week's results. Fantasy's creative TvZ...probably overrated. One thing I really think was a tremendously bad idea was confirming in an interview that he was going to try his funky valkyrie/whatever build against Calm in the OSL. Gave Calm the heads up to plan something that would counter it. | ||
