it is very reasonable for a good toss to be able to beat a terran on that map, and considering Leta's ineptitude in that matchup, both stats and violet would be decent favorites to win
doesnt matter how terran favored it is, Leta still sucks at tvp

I thought Flash should of dropped on the 8 o'clock position after he destroyed most of the turrets. Also Leta had few goliaths in the 8 o'clock area. If Flash taken the 8 and 7 o'clock position he would of won the game.

Agree, even as a KT fan, Leta played very well and solid and deserves the win, although the probability of it happening again is low, he deserves it and it was a legit win over Flash. However... Letas performance in the individual leagues is another story. Regardless, good job Leta, but I hope the rest of KT owns him!

From my point of view how Leta won is he consistently made Flash lose more forces relatively when they clashed. Many times Flash A-moved towards Leta's sieged tanks (and sometimes while dropping), and though Leta's forces were destroyed, Flash probably lost more in those confrontations. Also, Leta established control at 8, forces Flash to split his bases, and his forces as well, leaving them more vulnerable.

Because since Flash ceded center control to Leta, Leta could push against Flash's main. The distance from Leta's natural to Flash's main is ridiculously short, so Leta had an easy time attacking Flash's main. Leta then was able to keep a sizable portion of Flash's tanks at home while sniping quite a few of Flash's units that popped out and just in general denying Flash his main.

flash seriously raped himself in that midgame attack where he already had a lead and randomly decided to A move and drop at the same time in like 50 siege tanks thinking he could take it out.. turns out he got raped instead and lost a base in the process before he could reinforce it.

Oh yeah, and Flash blundered a bit with his attacks. In the replay we just saw Flash attacking with nothing in his dropships, when he could have just solidified his control of the bottom portion of the map.
He also had a really bad attack sometime in the midgame as well... I don't remember exactly where it was though.

Not that much because Leta's ELO is pretty high as well. If Flash lost to someone like sAviOr for example, (god forbid), then I would begin to wonder. Yeah, I never took into account yet the huge difference in points. I mean in terms of position, Leta is not that far down the list, the the points disparity is much greater.

for some reason violet gets a ninja expo down at bottom right. I guess it's a good call, as it looks like he's going to need at least four bases to figut letas four. He's not making the T ball any smaller though, and he's not getting enough units fast enough to win.

This is flash's ninth loss this year. 3 of the losses were to jd, 1 of the losses to kwanro, 1 of the losses to calm, which means that 5 of his 9 losses this year were to people in bo5's.
Leta played like a beast, and flash made one bad decision (he didn't reload up his dships, which made it so he couldn't win the battle at the top of six/five, which lost him the game).
Stastically, sending out flash is like sending out an auto win. or at least, as close as you can get in modern play....

leta denies the top left expansion again with vultures, luckily stats has mostly learned to build cannons, so the 10 vultures that got in only kill off about 8 probes of stats at stats base at 12

2 arbs and a zealot drop with goons help clear leta's miniblob at 10.5
but a cloud of vultures approach and snipe the probe, then withdraw
probes kill goons at 12 and break in
4 waiting vultures on the maynard line kill probes moving to 9, but goons terminate that prematurely before they can kill their fill

stats isnt exactly bad vs toss himself. its like 50-50. my point is that no one left on hite has a great shot to take out stats. luxury hasnt been playing well as of late

leta's pushing, stats is adding gates, getting his arb energy out, and is now trying to break the push. leta is really really really vult heavy from what I can tell, and stats is really pretty zeal heavy. Current guess is that most of his gas went into the 2 base arb, and then he filled out his army with zeaeals.
leta emps 2 arbs, which means that this force is going to be pretty easy for leta to clean up assuming stats chooses to engage.

stats might still have this, reinforcements coming in from both sides. psistorm on respawining units, and stats is left with no units, and about 8 tanks left for leta. Leta's going to need to pull back and defend his expansion, whereas stats can remacro his army but has less bases. interesting interestingq

Battle in the middle, Stats able to crush a portion of Leta's army, but it's pretty much no use. Leta will just pump out reinforcements and re macro to victory.
OMG PSIONIC STORM ON LETA'S UNFROZEN TROOPS!
Stats still loses his army though. Leta with the clearly superior econ at this point. No way that Stats can come back into this unless something drastic happens.

stats looked like he was going to recall into bottom left, and then decided not to. he needs to work on decisiveness

leta's going to lose a lot of units if he doesn't keep his army together, and sieged
arbiter heads down the left side towards 9 - and the vessel heads AWAY - but stats once again pulls his arbiter back

31 minutes into the game, stats is almost remaxed (probably one more production cycle from his gates). poking around trying to find a good place to attack. Leta also expanding to 3 again, I think he'll be able to defend it if stats decides that he's just going to try to win this game with a handicap of never pulling off a successful recall.
leta pushes into 12 with vultures, starts killing off cannons, stats chooses to engage. I'm not sure i like that angle at all, so this is probably going to be bad
half of stats army melts, most of the siege tanks are left. Stats probably can't remcaro enough of an army to hold this push off, he's going to need some really good psistorms

stats getting one more army out, looks like he's going to try really hard to push and kill off the T forces piece by pieces with his new arbiter. Pushing up a ramp to save 12, he just lost his nat at top left, just lost nex at 12.

True. Recently though, Stats has been doing better than lux straight up, lux is 4-6 in his last 10 zvt, stats is 7-3 in his last ten PvT

If I recall that series correctly, Leta lost once to a 4- or 5-pool, and once because of a clever Lurker feint and ended up losing 2-3. But yeah, I was really saddened by that loss.

Crushed is definitely not the word to describe it. In no way did Leta completely crush Flash. It was a pretty good back and forth battle. Leta did well to take advantage of the map and prevent Flash from taking critical gas expansions.

I don't agree. Leta was hyped nor because he was the best, but because of his flashy and original style. Leta as always been in my top 3 favourite terrans because he is one the only one that you can recognize by his playing.
And also he has always been damn damn good.

Well, I knew that Leta might beat Flash but I did hope that either Stats or Violet will beat Leta.
No team can be undefeated. So what that KT lost one match. They will still get their spot in playoffs easily and are still leading by a huge margin in this proleague season.
And Flash is just a human. He will lose from time to time especially given the quality of his opponents. Nothing shocking here. It is just funny to see though how the moods at TL swing.

Getting to the finals is not considered a fail. KT loses one game and then they are now falling in the last games? You confuse me sir.

Got to give credit to leta in the TvT good plan from the start. Take the bases close to flash and land in the main across map. Hence preventing flash from taking nearly as many expos as he had.
Flash did have a chance and his units approached at the wrong angle and was slaughtered. He'll be back though.

Man, Leta is probably my least favourite terran, but props to him for bringing his best form and accomplishing an inhuman feat. Kudos. I was expecting Stats to take him down, but he was just in his best and KT got roflstered

I suppose the chances of the rest of KT actually carrying the weight after Flash's loss was low.

KT would probably have played a lot better and Stats or someone might've beaten Leta if they hadn't played Flash and lost him so early. Obviously kudos to Leta for actually beating Flash, but still.

Flash slumping!!! Joking
Flash had a considerable lead over Leta midgame. Flash lost the big advantage when he attack Leta in the center. Perhaps Flash underestimated how fortified the area was. If it wasn't for that decision, it could had been Flash with another 3 kill.
Leta TvP is pretty entertaining to watch when he use dropships. His attacks are nonstop and all over the place. Combing Flash's early FD with dropship play, Leta can punish his opponent so bad when they guess wrong.
