s2 is being sent out to snipe the Woongjin Zergs. With the way they're playing right now Best and Bisu are going to get smashed if they face them, so they're throwing out the ZvZ tripwire.
But they're all gonna get Kwanroooollled anyway.
More seriously, free could do a lot of damage here. I don't see SKT Zergs putting a dent in him, and he can take on Best/Bisu. And Stars will still have the Zergs in the wings. Unless fantasy is in AK mode, SKT isn't winning this.

you honestly think Hyuk's ZvP will beat Free? Not bashing Hyuk here but Free's PvZ is without a doubt as good as Bisu's
Short of Fantasy or an in-form Bisu/BeST (which is all of SKT.. ) I dont think anyone can take down Free/ZeRO/Kwanro

My dream.
Ever Wonder why Bisu isn't in the KeSPA top 10 for the past few months? He dropped 3 ranks last months and I expect him to lose one more this month to Really and fall to 16th. He's slumping hard.
This is a Terran season just like last season was a Zerg season. I mean look at Flash, Light, Really, Leta, and Hell even BaBy has won some games he wouldn't have won in season past.

I hate it when Protoss are back to their punching bag status.

No.
Why is s2 in this line up???
Actually...I am beginning to suspect that SKT has given up on WL. They know they can't qualify for the WL playoff and since WL does not count toward normal proleague victory counts (basically having no impact on whether SKT would qualify for the main proleague playoff), SKT is actually using this opportunity to send its scrub players out to gain some experience.
So I think SKT will lose this. They may very well play WJ Star in the same way they played ACE.
i hate to admit it, but fantasy is the only one making any progress atm
i'm absolutely serious. if s2 wins his first set, the map will be judgement day, which is a ZvP imba map. so stars will send one of their terrans, either PianO or MVP, either of which i believe s2 can kill. then i'm sure stars wont risk zero in a zvz just yet, so it's either kwanro (in zvz) or guemchi. i predict guemchi, just to avoid a zvz. finally, after s2 kills guemchi using his awesome zvp, stars will be forced to concede zero to 2 straight zvz's before meeting fantasy and getting crushed (unless fantasy does some dumb thing like forgetting turrets)
skt zergs suck so much harder than woongjin terrans, dont even try comparing them. especially in tvz. plus s2 sucks at zvp, did you see much hulksmash him? gom wins over shitty noobs doesnt count

they would so send Kwanro out for a zvz. Zero and Free for everything else. Kwanro's ZvZ is a beast. In terms of current statistics and winlist, his zvz is at least top 2 right now, if not the best.
I hate to say it. But how this match may very well be determined by Hyuk's performance. I doubt SKT is going to send Best. I just don't trust his PvZ and PvP right now. So SKT will likely send Bisu/Fantasy after S2, Hyuk to snipe Zero/Kwanro and Fantasy/Bisu as ACE player.
Seriously, I was just about to become a fan of SKT a month ago, and now they are sucking THIS bad! Even as an underdog vs Stars? Omg, what happened to you and your victory against Oz last year? This is just ugh....

Er, since when? It counted last year and Kespa includes it in the overall standings on their site.
Go Stars. A win here (or in their last match next week) locks up a WL playoff spot, which will be awesome after they missed out on the tiebreaker last year.

Well, I wasn't 100% sure. So I was hoping somebody more credible would speak out. But I am pretty sure that I read that WL is separate from the main proleague. It has its own playoff after all.

It is not separate. It's why Jaedong/Flash/Bisu had over 50 wins last season in overall proleague.
The WL playoffs are because the format itself is not used in the grand finals and there is no main event for it, thus it gets its own, which is cool because it's wildly popular and is a great publicity event, despite having only marginal titleship meaning.
those are overall rankings not wl-only rankings, top 4 of the wl-only rankings go to the wl playoffs. top 6 of overall go to the post-season at the end of round 5.
Wow s2 is pathetic. This isn't even three hatch into macro. And what an unimaginative failure of an all-in. This is actually painful to watch as a Zerg. I'm glad I'm rooting for Woongjin.
Fantasy hides an SCV at the top of the map and tries a late scout, sees no Nexus at the nat but doesn't see the templar archives. Mines defending for Fantasy.

He's basically neo-Boxer to me.
Because he used to get way more credit than he deserves. His TvZ might be ''creative'', but it's always been fucking awful.
Guemchi saw how well the DTs worked vs. Fantasy in the previous match and apparently decided he'd try the same thing. Maybe he won't expect them to do it twice.

His "standard" M&M play has always been subpar yes, even though he got much better at it lately. His mech play however has always been top notch, I mean he got to two OSL finals and almost beat Jaedong in an OSL finals with those builds, it can't be a fluke.
no e-bay and no academy for Fantasy. this might be auto-win -___- 2nd factory coming. all fantasy has is mines e-bay just finished, DT's en route already. 1 dt dies to mines,
Fails to pull a goon out of the way in time and it gets blasted by tanks. More DTs walking into the nat now, and the CC lifts. The main looks fairly protected.
Vultures heading out to Guemchi's main, killing LOTS of probes
Less Fantasy doing well and more Guemchi being a fucking moron. Jesus Christ, did he really not prepare for the possibility of a vulture counterattack?
Lol, how do you chase vultures across the entire map with DTs and STILL not have your ramp blocked when they get there? It wasn't exactly a sneak attack.

The main reason I hate him isn't really that he's bad anyway, he's obviously pretty good, but I'm a Flash fanboy, and when people were seriously saying Fantasy was a better player than Flash I got very annoyed and pissed off. Flash is, and has always been, waaaaayy above Fantasy.

Well I must say I find it a little bit stupid to hate (I know you don't really "hate" him though, but still ) a player based on the fans' comments. Based on his play, on his interview answers or on whatever he's responsible for yes, but not based on stuff people say about him.
The guy has been great for progaming overall imo. He's both amazingly good (though less so than Flash, except maybe a few months ago at TvP) and extremely fun to watch (most of the time, probably less so in TvT but what do you expect ) so hating on him is really wrong to me.
Not that I don't personally care--don't take this post too seriously, I just think it's a bit of a shame.

His MnM control is pretty bad, and he's backed by oov/Boxer, which is why we see this stuff. Not that I wouldn't like to see valks be useful, but all too often this is what you get. Hell, Flash went for fast valks vs Kwanro and almost lost.
I think Fantasy really needed to target the lings with his marines rather than mutas. The lings did the real damage. If he had just danced his valk back and forth rather than sending it in it would have pushed the mutas back.
I actually liked that build by fantasy, he just didn't execute it that well.
Fantasy was clearly aware of how Kwanro plays. That was the point of the supply over rax block at natural. I guess that he felt safe after the ling all-in timing passed, but wasn't ready for the ling+muta timing that came shortly after.
Mutas try to poke into the natural, see 4 turrets on the left side. Kwanro finds a small hole and pokes in to kill a few SCVs, but takes a decent amount of damage to his mutas (no deaths though).
Kwanro loss 2 mutalisks trying to snipe a vulnerable tank, ends up getting it down to 14 health and having to pull out. Then Canata throws away all his hard tank-saving work by driving it right into 2 lurkers.
Huge lurker force moving out for Kwanro, Canata just sidestepping the ramp contain by going around. Big battle engages, Kwanro loses all his lings but Canata loses another whole MnM force, PLUS his first vessel to scourge!!!
First defiler out for Kwanro. Lurkers already really close to Canata's nat, not too much distance to swarm hop. Consume done, swarms going up in Canata's nat . . . another vessel gets sniped, but the defiler dies to irradiate.
Kwanro seemed to be in trouble early on when the mutas didn't find much to do in Canata's base. However, once Canata left his base the mutas' medic assassinations lead to a total loss of map control which Canata never recovered.

Not sure why they don't play Hyuk. They need to get through both Kwanro and Zero and although Hyuk is Hyuk, I still think he's more likely to get through both players as his ZvZ is better than Best's PvZ.
The longer Much waits to take his third gas, the harder this game will get. Mineral units aren't going to beat crackling/lurker, especially once the defilers arrive.

I didn't see this coming, not. Nice way to Hyuk your own team SKT Coach. Best isn't best player on a team and he wasn't even at his best match-up (PvT)

I'm officially rooting for the Stars to take the WL championship now. Its been 6 years since this team was playing for anything meaningful as far as a league championship goes. Would be fun to see them make a run through the WL playoffs.
