i would love to see zergs start doing guardian transitions or something in late game. seems like the only zerg who can consistently beat flash is jaedong

That was a pretty poor display by Flash. I'm a tad disappointed, he should be able to rape a player like Roro much much faster/easier than that. I actually almost thought Roro was gonna win that game for a second. =/ Play better in the next game, Flash!

HOLY SHIT I know man, my reaction was exactly that when i heard em EPIC!!!

actually i'd like to see any zerg micro ultras well enough to beat a line of +3 tanks

Zerg was never on 6 gas that game. Roro was only like 4 bases most of the game, and Flash generally had equal number of bases (which is of course a huge advantage for T).

Flash pushing now, w/ tanks and firebats in the mix. No way RorO stops this. Even if Flash lost forces at one base, he still had armies at each of his other bases. RorO wasn't going to have a chance unless he broke through, and even then he would have to deal with the rest of Flash's army. He did, sorta but RorO attacked Flash's bottom flank, to shut down 5, then swung around and caught Flash's tanks in the open near 9. He very nearly broke through, and he engaged almost all of Flash's army in the attack. Of course, he lost his entire army in that battle as well. RorO was hoping that Flash would try to clean out the lings and ultras that slipped through to shut down the 5 oclock base, but Flash didn't bite, and moved his entire army to the area outside 9. If Flash doesn't anticipate that second attack, and prepare for it (he was still nearly out of position), he loses the game.
Problem with roro's plan? he was playing flash.

Semis, game three. That's where we first started hearing the tank shells. A better example is Fantasy vs Jaedong, proleague finals, where fantasy outlasts the ultras and makes some tanks and wins. That game was funny. Almost as funny as all of the "TvZ imba" rage immediately afterwards lol

Anytime a Toss or Terran has +5 bases and the zerg can't break him is a bad situation for the zerg. Toss/Terran unit compositions are just better once they get the funding.
It's similar to why zerg is garbage in BGH.

jaedong can't consistently beat flash, their records are about even
jaedong consistently beats flash in bo5s however

Holy hell, in retrospect, I just thought about that. Now I must listen to some Octavarium.

Maybe Flash just wanted to let it drag on to get warmed up properly for the (likely) incoming TvT.

It was just like his game vs. Calm on fighting spirit. There was no need for aggression that could potentially lose him the game and wasn't doing much when he can mass tanks and defend for 20 minutes.

Hope to see Pure
