Putting up your own money on the line for a tournament? Nice, I support this and hope you guys get some great competition I might tell a few of my friends who used to play diplo to try to compete, although I myself only played a bit many years ago. Good luck!

Just a note about scheduling, since 2v2s are more popular than 1v1s so far -- 2v2 best of 3s require four players to be online at once for an appreciable length of time and are significantly more difficult to organize than 1v1s. I cannot guarantee prompt scheduling for 2v2s, but I can for 1v1s. I will get organized with regard to scheduling as quickly as I can. In the meantime, I suggest you use the time to practice.

I have added this information into the OP.

Maybe you missed it in bold and underline in the OP, and again in the 2nd post, but here's the link again:

I'm so happy to see such a great response to this.

lmao@waffles, nice to see you again control301, and yay I have a fan :D

I'd also like to add that I have an account on PS that I can use to pay, if people are so inclined.

Hopefully we can get our first matches going soon :D

I guess if anyone is serious in participating and doesn't know how the map plays, I am willing to teach and play with you on Bnet. Really depends on my internet connection and computer though, since my connection sucks.

@IanIanIan Will you do more video tutorials?

Let's get a TL Phantom game going!
Venture Capital is better off spent on lottery tickets rather than investing in E-Sports; you'll get a far better return. The difference is simple: Koreans are tryharding at the game, foreigners are tryharding in real-life.

In fairness, you have a couple other bold + underlines in the OP that aren't links, so the link in the OP gets lost. Until you mentioned it was in the OP I didn't even realize it was there.

Are you serious? I'm a little astonished right now. If it's in bold and underline, there's a good chance it's important. I understand not reading all the little details, that's fine -- but missing it, twice, when it was in bolded sections both times, and then posting about how you "have no clue what [I'm] talking about" is ... not okay.

I look forward to seeing the matches. I hope you'll make a stream or VODs available as I've never played and would like to see a couple pros going at it to get a better idea of the basic mechanics.

Diplo is really imba. It's biased depending on where you spawn.

Yet I put money up that I can win random vs random versus anyone on TL, where I have an equal likelihood of getting a country that is weak to my opponent's country.

If you are skilled enough to exploit an imbalance versus me, I will happily pay you.

Do you put that money up against me? Random vs Random?

It must feel pretty good to bash on people who've never played before or just learned the game. This is like organizing a tournament versus Soviet_'s. How long will you run this for? Im starting to be amused enough to give it a go if i have time in the next few days.
Suit up!

Read the rules brothergreen. We'll play anyone random vs random. It's a bo3/bo5, it's fair. Most of the imbalances disappear as you get better. For example Lith vs Estonia used to be unwinnable, Serbia vs Rom used to be unwinnable, Portugal vs Spain used has had the tables turned on it many times over.

In fact, I've taken on a few players where I let them pick both their country and mine, and won. Which I would do here if there wasn't money on the line.

And we aren't bashing on anyone. We are just trying to create interest. As to why you've created a TL account just o troll our threads, I'll never kow. Probably all that pent up rage you habe as you realize a shit diplo map that you got good at is losing popularity to a more balanced one that you won't play.. Because your too much of a noob to pick something new up. W.e.

My old friends who I play Infinity with are never on anymore, I guess the Diplo-Infinity scene has changed.

I guess I will try to find a partner within a week. Otherwise, I will play 1v1.
