IS fenix one of those players that plays PvT/ZvP/TvZ? I swear I saw him play Protoss once.

Im more pumped that chill and day9 are casting vs the actual games. NonY gonna destroy tarson, and Koll gonna roll over fenix :D

Fenix is PvT TvZ/PvZ TvP I think, but most of the time he plays TvZ

My predictions
Nony 3-1 Tarson losing to a 6fac on tornado

Fenix 3-2 Kolll with kolll taking Outsider/Andromeda.

^__^, I overestimated their opponents I guess, Fenix is really smart and always brings sick abusive builds to his game, as good as Kolll is we dont really need more zergs on that other side of the bracket which is already stacked with sick Zergs.

Well, thanks teamliquid for putting on another great show for us tonight.

Cheers to all the staff who devote their sparetime to making the TSL great.

Fenix playing extremely smart. His 2 rax bust was even sexier than Shaman's on Mondragon. His BSB was very well executed, not rushing for an early bunker, instead massing up a few rines then pushing out. Last game he mech'ed, something koll did not expect (or the commentators). His vults did an insane amount of damage (even disregarding that last vult drop on main, which killed everything) with mines and overall harassment.

About the mine that didn't go off, I have been told that hydras kill mines on a-move if they have range, anyone want to confirm/deny?

And wow, I never expected Fenix to pull this off, after that first game I expected another 3-0 rape. Looks like Fenix had other plans...

That vulture drop in the main during the big attack was soooo nice.

I wasn't really surprised that NonY won after his games vs Horror, poor Tarson.

Have at least 5 hydras and you can a-move through minefields. I do that all the time. If multiple mines pop up at once you need lightning reflexes to seperate the closest ones, though.

Just got back from the gym - so I assume nony raped tarson like predicted, how did fenix beat kolll?
g1 he got raped by mutas, in one game he went mech as far as I've read

nice, every ro16 match liquibetted correctly
although I felt like fenix vs koll was the only tough one to predict

Dont watch Nony vs Tarson, it was an embarrassing rape, like watching a B player stomp a D player, Tarson's nerves got him and he made terrible mistakes.

Fenix g2 2rax very quick rine pressure vs no sunk and he killed koll
Fenix g3 Fantasy PL finals BSB scv/rine rush
Fenix g4 Mech play with Kolll being horrible with his mutas.

And amazing early marine timings (+poor scouting from Kolll) took games 2 and 3 for Fenix.

Nony vs Tarson lasted a total of 20 minutes.

Game 2 was 2rax expand, walked to Kolll's natural with nothing but 6 marines and Kolll died to it

Game 3 was BSB with a SCV/Marine attack at about 6 marines. Kolll did some over or 12pool into expand(think over) and didn't have enough lings / nat ready for sunk in time.

.

Oh so that explains a lot, I was so surprised to come home at 10 o clock, expecting to see at least 1-2 games of the koll vs fenix series, but only caught chill saying goodbye.
I mean I had no doubt that nony would destroy him but jeez, 20 minutes ^^

Thx guys

I had a feeling Koll was gonna lose, but I also thought Nony would drop a game or two, so maybe I just like rooting for the underdog.

Anyway, thanks to TSL, PokerStrategy.com and the players for some solid entertainment!

If we have learned one thing from this Ro16 - it's that Starcraft is hard. . . Ridiculously hard.

As a fanservice - maybe Jaheoon and Frozean will play a Bo11 if the money go to charity?

I had a feeling Fenix would take the series against koll, then I can see him beating BRAT_OK after he beats Mondragon.

I think Ret, Mondragon, Sen, Brat_OK and even GosI[Terran] might have a chance, isn't terran like Idra's disciple? Kind of like Boxer vs Iloveoov but Idra's just a b-team progamer who has his chance to shine because he competes against people who have a normal lifestyle compared to his and well, Boxer dominated the Korean scene and Idra dominates the internationa scenel as any b-team progamer should.
