If the finals had just been held outdoors like every other finals i dont' think this would have been a problem, but no0o0o0o MBC has to try to be innovative with their "virtual studio" nonsense. I'm not going to say that it 'cost' Flash a win or 'gave' the series or JD, it was certainly a tarnish though, whoever had won after that, won with an asterisk.

Jeadong was not winning ?
But since everyone seems to think so I'll leave it at that..

Jeadony was slightly leading..
thats it..

give it up retard. yes he was winning.

u obviously saw the replay didnt u ?

Im almost never sure who is ahead ENOUGH to warrant him with a win in an VOD.. except if u can clearly see the other players has more units or more expansions which are actually SATURATED

in this vod u could not see all this stuff clearly..

but yes for sure u are right.. jd won this 100%..

T_T

u should give it up before u get banned imo. not that i disagree with u, but for now all we can do is make judgements based off recollection. let's wait for the vods to come out, while at the same time i hope someone finds a transcript of what the kespa representative said they made their judgement on. once we have some concrete evidence we can resume calling each other retarded and etc

I think flash is content with his performances games 1-3 and his overall level. He knows him and Jaedong are on top, so why would he be upset just yet? It will probably sink in more later on that he had lost the MSL but the craziness that happened tonight is just absolutely outrageous and I can't blame flash. I really wish he had just forfeited game 4. He will be back next OSL/MSL.

From what I understand, the rule (especially if it was out of both players control) is a replay... and I'm sure JD and flash both would have agreed.

Okay can anyone explain what happened in set 1-2 and 3? I didn't see them.

Game 1 was Flash failing and Jaedong taking full advantage of the holes in Flash's muta defense.

Game 2 was an epic break by Flash, elevatoring his army into Jaedong's main via d-matrix'd dropships, preventing himself from losing as he was going up against 4 base hive tech zerg with ultras while on 2 bases himself.

Game 3 was amazing. Jaedong's defense was incredible against Flash's very all-in 2 base play, with a very very late 3rd. But then the power outage and the hours of clusterfuck...and the series was ruined.

So if there's any games you want to watch, watch games 2 and 3. Don't even bother with 4, Flash looked so out of it and played as such. Hell even Jaedong looked like he was kind of out of it, but he came out on top. The 4th game just doesn't feel legit. Damn MBC....

thanks! power outage wth?

it's astonishing that thopol and others are missing these very basic points. "there was no right decision" the right decision is to have a process in place BEFOREHAND so you don't need to be all like "well either way we were fucked" no, not either way you were fucked, you're not fucked if you have a decent process in place to deal with stuff like this just like ANY reasonable organization in your place would have

can't understand whys ome people defend the decision to give jd the win in game 3. if the game stopped earlier when flash just have destroyed the base at the 1 o'clock, i guess, and had this huge mnm force, kespa would've propably decided to give flash the win. and then look what happens after that.

This MSL final has made me mad. I agree. The games though... I mean, they could have replayed the 3rd game. KT's staff could have made less of a fuss and let the players stay in the groove for the 4th game. There are things they could have done better, but the games seemed pretty legit, and the winner really won.

I think the fans made too much of a fuss. Particularly related to the waits. After the huge fiasco, the players obviously needed to warm up again and get prepared to play. MBC clearly wanted to hype this really hard, both because the matchup deserves it, and because MBC needs the exposure and hype. It was distracting, how the strange venue worked out, and the stupid power issue, but we have known about the former for the past week and the latter didn't honestly have much of an impact.

I thought it was a really good MSL, partially because of how goofy it was, but mostly because of the sick games we just witnessed.

Even if JD was clearly ahead (which he was) imo they shouldnt have given him the win, but restart it.

That said, he played awesome in every game and he deserves the win :D

No he was not clearly ahead, the game was in the balance, if flash got that hatch he would have been in an amazing situation, the game was still on the edge

Game three wasn't won legitimately by Jaedong, he was given a win by KeSpa. Fuck MBC and KesPa. I don't care if those KeSpa thought Jaedong was ahead, Flash never typed GG so he never really lost.

Jaedong still deserves his title ^_^

This.

Out of the three finished games, Jaedong won two, and had a significant advantage in the third set when it was aborted. Clearly he deserves to win. Yes, it was controversial, but what are you going to do? Replaying the Odd-Eye game wouldn't be fair to Jaedong, his likely winning preparation blown.

Props to Flash for taking it like a man, unlike his father, and props to Jaedong for resisting any urge to throw game four. Hopefully we will see another MSL, but it's not looking good.

Now let's just look forward to Winner's League.

I have a severe fear that Flash's parents will really really consider pulling flash out of starcraft. I don't know how they couldn't at least talk about it now. Flash was thinking about it recently anyway, and after this... your will to be at the top just can't be as strong. Flash was playing as well as any player in the history of the game and his year of greatness is tainted by this. If he ever wins another starleague I'll be extremely impressed.

It sucks so much that it went from the potentially best finals in years to the worstly organized finals in sc history.

I wanted JD to win, but not like this (not saying he didn´t deserve it, just saying it would´ve been far more epic if there was no blackouts and shit).

Did you see how discombobulated Flash's play seemed in set 4? No question this shit ruined the finals. I wonder what MBC commentators and Execs and KeSPA people are saying in private, off the record. Fucking stupid.

He had to watch his dad completely lose his cool for like an hour no one could have played 100% after that

Yeah his dad probably thought that Flash was winning and then they gave Jaedong the win ... But what can you do ? Any decision in that situation would have been wrong .

Ok, I just want to know if there is any way to get the official information about how the judges made their decision? Does it make sense to anybody to make a decision based on supply count (what else did they say? Jaedong might have been in a winning position, but no player would have GGed to him because he was up 1 base...
