In sum, I don't think anyone, especially Jaedong and Flash, would have thought that the series would have ended like this. I think both thought that it would have come down to either Match Point or Fighting Spirit. Overall, people were right. I think that because Jaedong won asFlash didn't have enough time to prepare.

I sometimes need a good laugh and when times get hard I just want to know you're all there flaming KeSPA, JD and MBC for me. have you ever in your life had any speck of professional responsibility this was a massive failure by mbc and a relatively normal failure to have meaningful streamlined process on kespa's part

Trying to break that sunken line + lings with a handful of medic marine? lol Though I'm pissed, I think it's quite obvious Flash didn't try that game. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't watched Flash play enough. A minute into the game and I didn't even feel like I was watching Flash. Jaedong definitely could have won, I did not expect such a solid build order from him, but we will never know who the real Champion is.

Flash got robbed of chances after 1-1 (srsly, when i saw his face before 4. set i knew that he is crushed mentally. Hopefully he will recover for WL and next season ! ) And JD was robbed of glory of winning probably the most anticipated finals in a loooooooooooooooooong time ![]()

Flash's heart was completely undermined, his play in game 4 was just depressing. One thing to note though is mental strength. That's a situation in which mental strength is critical. JD is the man who comes back from anything at full strength. Every time people have said "this'll be the start of the end of the JD era" he turns up a week later stronger than ever. In a situation like this that ability to just detatch from the reality and play your top game is huge. JD is the better player in that regard.

And who is stupid enough to try a new setting for a frigging final instead of matches of lesser importance?

He was going toe-to-toe, if not outplaying and out thinking Flash in the first three games. There was no way he was getting rolled over tonight. Except he did get rolled over in game 2 and Flash was playing just as well as JD in each game? On January 23 2010 20:44 Avidkeystamper wrote: This is a serious question, is there a better followup when you go 8 rax against 9 pool? Not stimming into 3 sunks and 4 lings when you have 11 marines and a medic? Maybe Flash wasn't even originally planning on 8rax but decided to based off the kespa decision hoping that JD would assume he was going standard? The point is that we'll never know and that's why this final is such bs from both players perspectives. Obviously Flash's more than JDs but what can you do. On January 23 2010 20:41 Shiladie wrote: I do agree that Jaedong was in a commanding position in that game. He had full capability to defend that base, and flash on 1 mining base vs Jaedong's 4 mining 5 gas was impossible. You can see Flash saw this with the fact he was drilling SCVs in desperation at the end. You mean when he was sending SCVs to mine at his 3rd? -_-

fuck this msl finals. I was more excited for this then any other sporting final (including the two times my steelers went to the superbowl w/ roethlisberger) I've ever watched. Flash please stay hungry and take dual titles next season. Don't let your confidence get shaken because you are still the best around.
