Because of the stuff about the 1k spectator cap, I got the impression that they were renting the venue, and therefore have no control over backup power generators.
Also, are we sure they didn't have backup power generators? The power was out for only like 5 seconds. I'm not sure how long it takes to transfer to the backups, but I doubt it's instantaneous. And for all those people saying to look at the replay, there isn't a replay. Replays are autosaved when a game ends. Since the computers crashed, no replay was saved.
On my work they had backup power. In the case of thunder or a power sure of any kind, those would kick in instantly because we had many machines/computers/etc that couldn't be without power for even a ms or they would take hours to boot. Whenever there was thunder warning from the weather sites we would activate the backup power so that it would take over if anything would happen instantaneous.

MESSAGE FROM THE MELBOURNE MSL PARTY:
Scaramanga is a douche for not being here. Also, these events have cast a pall over the proceedings. We are all very sad.

Look, people like Idra and Kwark are lightyears ahead of you in terms of sc knowledge, just dont...
Idra said Jaedong was ahead but it shouldn't be given to him and who's Kwark? A guy who knows what a 2 base allin looks like. I also got A- on icc.

Should be a rematch from the beginning, no point even discussing it. If the power went out when flash seemed to be within 2 minutes of winning he would have gained the win. So the only reason JD won this game is because the power didn't go out till 5 minutes later. How does it make sense that the time of the power shortage decided who won? I thought SC in korea was supposed to be serious business but this is what you would expect from a random game in a random mini tournament.

Nevergg's mom sounds wicked cool.

Theoretical solution 1: Jaedong saves the game right before it ends. Try to load.
Solution 2: Replay match, but Jaedong gets to pick the map, including older zerg era maps. Some restrictions apply.
Controversies make sports. Like USA vs USSR Olympic basketball. This will only make fans more rabid.

I have a personal request, but it wouldn't really justify a ban.
Some people in here though... Well, lets just say I've seen more 4chan in this thread than everywhere else on this site at any one time put together.

Both the first 2 games had large swings where the other player appeared to have a lead... then lost it. Jaedong was ahead, but he wasn't so far ahead that Flash was somehow all ready on the gallows. One min only in the middle of the map, main and nat mined out, and with such perfect macro before that he wouldn't have anything saved up, with Flash's entire MnM force crushed right before the power cut, with defilers defending the base. First, JD wouldn't have lost the bottom left. Second, a Z with 2 bases with a third coming > T with one min only IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MAP how do you defend that? Defend it the way you normally defend that type of thing. Don't mistake my post as those crazy enough to suggest Flash was ahead. He wasn't and Jaedong most definitely was in much better position. However, Flash still had some science vessles (unless more were scourged off screen), some reinforcements coming (albeit not enough to actually take 7), and for Jaedong to win he was still going to have to use those defilers and push into flash. Flash's attack might've been pushed back further away from JD's base, but it wasn't knocking on flash's natural. And, others have stated... It's Flash. That's not fanboyism or a delusion; just a fact. How do you normally defend against fully upgraded ultraling with defilers? In fact, normally you don't. That's the point where Terran generally starts losing to the Zerg. However, 1 min only in the middle of the map vs 4 base Z with potential of 5 gas? Puhleaze rofl are you retarded? flash vs calm game 3 Off..2 depleted geysers and 1 mineral base and factory? Good luck with that. he asked how do you normally defend against ultraling with defilers out of bitterness of what just happened, i called him a name but flash definitely had a working strategy in that game against fully upgraded ultraling with defilers

MBC is shameless to run commercials when they screwed up. Do they think their customers are going to be happy and stay loyal?
