Poll: OSL finals party or MSL finals party? (Vote): MSL (Vote): OSL
So its that time again. I am once again planning on renting out joes pizza here in San Diego. Same deal as last time. Bring 10$ and its all you can eat pizza late night hopefully with a large crowd of other Starcraft fans.
One problem this year though. The OSL finals (on the 16th) or the MSL finals (date and players unknown)
If we do the OSL finals, its right in the middle of the UCSD winter games fest. This means you can come to play starcraft for *fabulous prizes* at UCSD and then watch Flash destroy someone shortly after that. (no spoiler here just saying that's probably what is going to happen)
If we do the MSL finals we might see Jaedong v Flash. But there is no guarantee it will be a convenient day of the week. Also the matches could potentially be of equal or lesser quality. But at the same time it COULD be Jaedong v Flash.

I guarantee there will be at least one of the pizza's in the buffet that you will like. (if you like pizza) He provides a pretty huge variety. Also its all you can eat + a drink + salad all for 9$. I think its a pretty good deal.
I am hoping we can get some testimonials from last time we did this to encourage people to come as well.
I will get a sign up list after we have the official match (OSL or MSL) and date. All will be decided tomorrow night.
feel like Kal has just as much chance beating Flash as JD has, tbh i think Kal is one of the few (along with jd etc) who plays stable enough to have a shot on beating Flash
Mm, I'm up in Los Angeles but I might be able to come down for this. And I think we're going to see Flash destroy someone no matter which league we do.
That being said, I think alot of people will be disappointed if they go with MSL and end up with Flash vs schmuck, or Jaedong vs. what'shisface. OSL seems safer, and you just KNOW Movie will be entertaining.

i like zvz, most intense matchup imo, and just like any mirror the better you understand it the more you can appreciate it as for the op i would go with osl but since i wont be going i didnt vote
I'll be down there for UCSD winter game fest (going for smash actually, but i'll still be there both days), and I'd love to do this, but I don't want to drive all the way down from ventura two straight weeks, so i'd much rather have the OSL party.
I'm sure anyone coming down from north of L.A. would agree with me in this

Try bringing a friend from real life. That will definitely help unless of course your friend is more awkward than you are or doesn't care about starcraft at all.

Yeah. I don't know anyone at all on this site either, but I most definitely will be coming. Good pizza and getting to watch OSL or MSL with other starcraft fans? Awesome stuff. I'm going to bring some friends too, of course. haha.

oh I'm not that awkward to begin with, that was more of a comment on the situation... but yeah I dunno if any of my grad school friends would be into that. we'll see.
If it's at Joe's Pizza that's literally blocks away from my house, and I will attend. Perfect spot. I also vote for doing the MSL finals instead, the OSL is just too soon.

Yeah and if anyone feels awkward because you don't know anyone from TL, don't feel that way. Everyone I've met from TL is super nice in person and it's a good way to get on good terms with forum vets
Given the OSL final is just two days from now, has any decision made yet? I would definitely donate money if I go, but knowing if I can go is kind of step 1 for that. >.>

Agree with that completely. I didn't know anyone last time, had to bum around for a ride, and still had a great time.
