When I see the guys Shine has crushed to get where he is, and who he has to face if he gets to finals, my jaw drops. This guy is a fucking baller.

I'm not a fan of zerg but damn, I believe in the Shine. Movie will be one of the weaker players on Shine's list of OSL victims in a few hours.

Flash's only losses in tvz come from really aggressive muta play that pokes a hole in his defense. What's shine's MO? Really aggressive muta play that pokes holes in defense.

Movie, on the otherhand, flounders early game PvT and hopes he can win by throwing arbiters at the T until he loses -- a viable strategy, but unless you have Best's perfect macro, I don't think you can make up for early game mistakes vs Flash.

um that ONE game Flash lost to Calm more of a timing mistake than a micro mistake. Having excellent muta harass doesn't give you much of a chance vs Flash.

That post clearly proves that you haven't been watching Flash's TvZs lately. What do Flash's losses to Hyun, Zero, and Calm have in common: great early Muta harass. Whether or not if gives much of a chance or not, it clearly gives zergs the best chance. Oh, wait, let me edit that for fanboys: misplaced turrets/glitched scvs making turrets/heartbreak ridge gives zergs the best chance. Didn't want to offend anyone. -_-

Anyway, I love that Shine beats Bisu and Stork, and yet he's going to get 3-1ed by Movie, with the lone win on the much hated El Niño (where Shine is actually 1-1 vP). This just shows that there is still no respect for Shine. If Shine wins, all the haters will blame El Niño, call Shine's aggression cheesy (which is funny because the only protoss cheesier than Movie is Horang2), and bitch about ZvP imba. And if Movie wins, more people will call him an S-class ZvPer (el oh el), they'll label Shine as a fluke, and call Movie some kind of revolutionist (by far the most overused word these days).

Basically, no matter what Shine does, you'll find a way to spin it in such a manner than Shine is still not good enough. Bravo, haters.

How about you also mention that in those same games with early muta play Flash fucking steamrolls the Zerg player? Because it works once every 10 games doesn't automatically make it a good idea. Calm was literally this close to being 3-0'd with his great muta micro. Something else is needed besides muta micro to beat Flash.

Flash steamrolls everyone dude. If you don't go fast muta harass, you'll probably get steamrolled even faster. Which of these seems the most likely to beating flash?
1. Lurker's inability to shoot moving targets
2. Your ability to muta micro
3. Hope to god Flash gets cocky and dies to some all in ling rush

Boxer was never a favorite over every protoss and yet we didn't cry "TOSS DODGER!!!!!" when he raped zergs in leagues to win titles.
.... and so many other league winners.

The best player isn't always the winner. The winner doesn't need to be the best player at all. Just the player playing best in their games ...

I hope shine gets to the finals because watching flash stomp a CJ toss would be boring.

No idea who I'm really liking more, shine is kinda good and should deserve credit for making it this far and performing so good lately, just something about him... thats so disappealing, no charisma at all.

Movie is pretty solid overall, but tends to fall apart and I really feel like comparing him to bisu sometimes for some reason (someone I'm not particulary fond of as progamer, but cheer regardless since his play deserves credit).

Looking at map balance, if I had to bet, my money would be on shine. So let's root for the underdog (in my eyes), go movie!
