Jaedong has dropped to many games to people he shouldnt have lost in the first place(in his JvZ matchup to boot) while flash has just been tearing it up all over the place. The problem with what you're saying is that Flash hasn't been "tearing it up" against Protoss. Flash admits this, and his record against good protoss hasn't been good. There isn't a matchup right now that JD really has a problem with unless you really want to read a lot into the losses in what has traditionally been a very volatile matchup.

Jaedong might have dropped a couple of games but he's still very beastly when it comes to games that matter. Flash is looking good in TvZ. But most if not all of his victims weren't of his equal skill level. Yarnc could have been a good test if he hadn't been slumping like shit. At the moment, Flash is looking ridiculously good. But that doesn't mean he's the best. I'm not a Flash hater, in fact I really love watching him play.

Flash is probably the only one right now that could beat JDy, but I wouldn't go over 50/50 chance.

Jaedong even hints that EffOrt is better in the mu during the MSL group selection.

(though I guess it would be "was" now)

But in the other MUs, Flash edges Jaedong out a bit because he's been so stable. This month, they're on par, but that would be disregarding their recent months beforehand.

The only semi-proven good player he's beaten is Stats. But it was on the zerg campy map. Also, damn it, type-b better beat Flash... comeon upsets!!!

Jaedongs ZvT is his worst matchup too. historically, flash tends to lose against jaedong http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/details.php?type=players&id=424&part=games&vs=211&league=any&map=any&from_year=2007&from_month=3&from_day=15&to_year=2009&to_month=12&to_day=2&action=Update

But calling anyone a favorite over Jaedong in an important SERIES is just not very realistic. In a BO1 i would probably favour Flash, in a BO3 or 5? No way.

I have to say, I am not that impressed with movie's wins here. Both wins came from cheese and rushes. Hope to see some standard an motivated play vs. Jaedong. JD vs Movie should still matter. It needs to be played in order to determine who finishes 1st and who finishes 2nd in the group, because I think that the ones who finished 2nd in their group will go on to meet someone who finished 1st in their group in the Ro8.
