Yay me, I've met Flash and Fantasy in real life and god bless me, Flash is really cute while Fantasy is a boy of few words
When I came up to them and ask for the photos (for me and the fan boys), they gave me a gentle smile

I think this is the case, the only Starcraft player from India I know is HellGuardian. It's unfortunate that India sent no-name players because I've heard they're not happy with how many medals they have so far but if they sent Break and Rulezzz, that probably would have been two more medals.
Those pictures are fantastic, it looks like it was a lot of fun to hang out with Flash/fantasy. If the rest of the tournament hasn't been very good I imagine that the finals at least, will be very fun to watch (even if you're not a TvT fan)

Yes, this tournament is certainly hilarious. I laughed quite hard when I heard about the circumstances for the Starcraft matches. I would like to know more about the Quatari incident. Did some rich boys go as the only Starcraft players in their country, and decide they didn't want to be humiliated?
Everything about this tournament just scream out that something is wrong. You have the Koreans facing players that are worse than average, you have strange forfeits, and why the hell would India want to send worse players if they want more medals? Save expenses because the guys were going anyway?
By the way, the Uzbekistani Counter-Strike doing well isn't really surprising. One of their teams have had some impressive results while facing opponents from Russia and the Baltic countries, even European opponents as well, if I remember correctly.

the Qatar players were there to play FIFA and were instructed to play in the Starcraft tournament, as someone said earlier, they didn't forfeit, they played out all of their games.
The other countries didn't want to send players for Starcraft because they knew they would not be able to defeat the Koreans and I guess they sent their non-starcraft players into the tournament in an attempt to grab the bronze.
I know Uzbekistan has had decent CS squads in the past, I was just pointing out that it was a good game because WMF slaughtered the team from Mongolia and Iran couldn't compete; I was just glad there was something decent to watch there as it sounds the Starcraft matches were not.

how tall are the two of them?
|
I think Fantasy is 6'. Flash isnt

I'm unsure if the players from China forfeited their semi-final games or if they were played, I just don't see them on the website. Regardless, it's an all-Korean finals.
|
Flash 2-0 He XueBin (Walkover)
Fantasy 2-0 Yang Zheng (Walkover)
Both the Chinese players forfeited their games, again. And it's an all-korean final now, Flash vs Fantasy. As much as anyone hates TvT (or any mirror matchups for that matter), it's gonna be the best games played here.

will the vods be up for the TvT final?
|
so if you want to know who won + Show Spoiler +FlaSh won, no idea what the score was, I'll wait to update to OP until someone from the event confirms

fantasy's concentration face is really bad lol
he really does remind me of Bert

im so confuse... who's responsible for this tournament? It's crappy as hell.
|
dude, just think of it as an exhibition for Flash and fantasy to show their starcraft prowess, it wasn't a big tournament or anything, there wasn't prize money

It's kind of an Olympic-like event, and eSport is one of the many categories. It's not even close to WCG, let alone being a decent Starcraft tournament because they give higher priority to the other so-called "real sports".
Having said that, being a Vietnamese, I'm absolutely ashamed of how they organized this shitty event. Just an example of how fucked up it is: the idiot who is in charge of eSport at AIG doesn't even know the difference between Save Game and Save Replay in Warcraft 3, lame much?
