OP, you predict Light to lose to DarkElf? Thats a terribly unsound prediction, of course it can happen but its a bad prediction. 538's prediction makes more sense. Hyun vs Reach is the most questionable game here, reach's pvz is meh and hyuns overall play was meh toward the end of last season. Jaehoon gorush is also pretty hard to predict on paper..
DarkElf had a very strong TvT back in 2007 and in the beginning of 2008. I think we will see more from it in the months to come, since I believe the new environment will have a good impact on him, just like it had on Casy
ofc the predictions are heavily biased, but still I have fate in the boys

by dropping I mean losing, dont kill me, I'm maybe not as much of a Reach fan as you,but the way I see it he has the biggest chance to lose his game

Shark needs to quickly get another gas expo running, he did absolutely nothing with those guardians and the only damage he did was denying the 9 expo twice -_-
Ruby pushing towards newly created 5. If it succeeds it will be big blow for Z since his other gases are probably depleted by this time and he has only 1 other expo with mins
This has got to be one of the worst played games of SC I've ever seen. Reach opens with completely ineffective 2-gate into mass shuttle suicide. And now HyuN looks to even things by suiciding mass hydras and ovies.
Yeah you don't need a Physics Lab for wraith upgrades.
He probably thought mass wraiths would do better than a few battlecrusiers. No way Darkelf had enough of an army left to deal with the remaining of Light's tanks as well as mass wraiths.
observer snipes keep gorush alive, he seemed a little careless with the lurker spread now. If he can keep the defense up, he should have this, p is still on 2 bases.
Not sure whether this is smart or cocky by MBC. On the one hand, no point wasting Light on an extra game if you don't need him, on the other hand, Sea's recent form isn't inspiring.

12 Mirrors - 11 non-mirrors. Still sucks big time.
tvz tvp zvp
pvp zvz tvt
12 - 11 sounds pretty good given there is a 50% chance of a mirror matchup. it seems a lot of people assume there is only a 33% chance of a mirror matchup for some reason.

i guess psyco tactic: if light lose he thinks hes bad (and he possibly can, since he couldnt prepare ace matchup) if sea loses, nothing happens hes already slumping, if he wins, its a turn

There IS a 33% chance for a mirror, the correct list goes like this: tvz zvt
tvp pvt
pvz zvp ---- tt pp zz
to be more scientific: the races played by players A and B are independent from each other and the probabilities of sending a p, z or a t to either spot are equal. Then there are 3times3=9 equally probable combinations, only 3 of them being mirrors...

If the teams are team 1 and team 2, then for the match 1v2 we have
PvP PvT PvZ TvP TvT TvZ ZvP ZvT ZvZ
Only six different matchups from a viewing standpoint, but 9 possible matchups total making chances of a mirror 33% before taking maps into account. Not sure where Shikyo's getting his Z1 Z2 nonsense.

haha srsly people overthinking this. If you are a z, you have a one in 3 chance of a mirror matchup. Same goes for T and P. hence 33 percent chance of mirror matchups
Epic push at 6o' clock from Ruby, 10-12 scvs, tanks pushing on ground, dropships loaded with goliaths mostly unloading on Sea's tankline, Sea loses the battle, Ruby might be taking this?
In practice it's different since teams field 4 or 5 players per match, ie. not divisible by 3; so unless every team conspires to field equal races over all games played (unlikely with map balance considerations) you can expect a fair bit more than 1/3 mirror matches.

That is exactly the point, and the main argument of people for stricter lineup race requirements. I guess its not a stretch to say people in general prefer watching non-mirror matchups.
Sea seems smarter by slowly pushing the side of Ruby's main with the tech and some factories, but Ruby frees up the 6 with his own BCs, and counters Sea's BCs in his main with a goliath drop...

I dont think its just about cloning, there might be energy issues too since Sea has been having BCs for longer, and Ruby's been losing starports too.
Ruby GGs(( I'm somewhat happy for Sea winning, but I was still rooting for ACE
it was number of bcs more than energy, ruby was quite a bit behind in bc count and had to sit on his turrets until the extra gas let him pull ahead. he lost cuz he kept pulling out of the turtle and wasting units.

Yeah it must be an intense test of patience to not be too aggressive in late game TvT.
