Pity that the dutch couldn't step up. The tournament isn't half as competitive without the best player outside of Korean represented.

Peru, Poland and Ukraine should be the countries to watch (aside from the US- but that's IdrA's to lose) with good compeition for that one spot.

The Dutch haven't had a WCG for the past 5 years except for last year where they decided to give us a chance.. however ret didn't get out of his group last year so they think we can't win anything in Starcraft..

Looks like the WCG this year is gonna be boring as fuck anyway. What 20 players?

They don't have any money, it costs more than you would think to fly the player to China and pay WCG for the player expenses. This year is especially bad, think about the economic conditions and what companies would want to invest in outside-the-box marketing like WCG. Maybe it will be better next year (if there is WCG next year).

I think there is a misconception that the WCG finals determines who competes in the finals, but, this isn't like the Olympics. If they really wanted to, Cameroon could send 3 Starcraft players and Korea could decide to send none.

Year before last was really exciting for WCG BW. but I feel lasts years was fairly "boring" for lack of a better word.

I think I was the only one that could challenge ret a bit (I was inactive as fuck since 2005 or so but I started playing again when WCG was announced) but then they decided to host it while I was on vacation. Ret pretty much had zero competition and it's no surprise noenoe got second then I guess..
