13 gas in TvP?

I saw gypsy mention 13 gas TvP in a BSL cast once, I do not remember the match at the moment. He said it is better then 12 gas except vs nexus first where 12 gas is preferable. What are the details on this 13 gas TvP build?

Never seen someone want a slower factory. Whats the reason really?

That is what I want to figure out. I skimmed through bonyth vs terror which is where I thought I heard gypsy mention a 13 gas build. But it was in a BSL cast im almost certain.

Ill mess around with the idea in solo. See any purpouse in the idea.

I remember Artosis talking about it maybe 6 months ago, afaik the main reason was for better mineral mining optimisation but it does result in the slower factory, he doesn't seem to do it anymore though. Perhaps it results in a faster CC?

I remember a Korean Pro doing a two fac-build back in the day (around 2000) with 13 Gas which gave you a very specific timing-attack with 3 early tanks and 4-5 marines. You had a late 1st factory but could fend off early attacks with 3-4 marines at the ramp. The 2nd fac was fast and you had enough money to research mines+speed quickly afterwards. 2nd&3rd tank popped out at the same time, Protoss has to retreat and as a second punch you can pressure with Speedmine-Vultures immediately to push P to quick elimination. When it works it really is a lot of fun to melt the goons, good medicine for vP-frustration.

Nowadays it's probably not so efficient and all-in-ish, nobody has rines at their ramp anymore... but try it on ladder and bust a couple of folks, could also be a nice suprise-stat in a Bo5/7?
I copied that build and it solved my TvP-worries, nobody used it back then and basically gave me a ticket to WCG.
