As for music, I typically blast it up, I figure that if I hear "Construct Additional Pylons", I'm screwed anyways. I try to play without any notifications about whether my forces are under attack or other shit like that because by that time, I'm typically screwed anyways.

Hey if your macro is good you're never supposed to hear that!

For example, I once was playing a TvP on Heartbreak Ridge, and mind you I am TERRIBLE at HBR at the moment, as I have only won 4...5 games on that map out of 20. I used to be D+, but I got bumped down 500 points for losing so many times on that map. Anyway, besides my stupidity at times, I was playing the game, and suddenly, we were exchanging bases and killing each other. At one point, the Mission Impossible theme song came on, and it just made more hyped up about killing my opponent. Ultimately, my point here is that listening to music doesn't necessarily contribute to better play, but it definitely can help raise the dramatic affects of the game and make it a more enjoyable experience (and for people who watched my stream, you'll where the Mission Impossible reference is coming from ). If you were to actually use music, here's a couple thing's I would recommend: 1) Don't have songs with lyrics. It's controversial, I guess, but I've found that songs with lyrics makes me play noticeably worse than songs without them. I'm guilty at times of having songs with lyrics, but I usually don't play well with them. 2) Pick songs that match your pace You don't have to, but from my personal experience, it's definitely something that will help you become more alert. GOOD music that can move you with its tempo, pace, and pure awesomeness, helps to stimulate the mind and makes you more aware of the surrounding environment. Anyway, here are a couple of songs that I like to listen to. Note, ALL of them are soundtracks. :D : 1) The Bourne Identity/Supremacy/Ultimatum Soundtrack - John Powell 2) The Dark Knight Soundtrack - Hans Zimmer 3) The Road to Perdition Soundtrack - Thomas Newman 4) Pandora ( :D Songs that relate to John Powell)

http://listen.grooveshark.com/ I would have to say. You might want to replace Pandora.com for this one cause it has K-Pop. But once again it all depends on if you want to spend the time to customize a playlist, have pandora do it for you or what not. Advantage of Grooveshark. Choose your own music, make your own playlist Advantage of pandora You choose style, music is made for you. I preferably do not like last.fm just because i know better ones =D

It's for me the best playlist to play SC. Very fucking good Black Metal, it gives you a good rythm for your hands. Now I've 150-200 apm instead of 100 (max) But imo, listening music while playing SC is very important, it puts u in a good element.
