Even if it looks like crap at 16: 9 to you as it does to most people you can just display it at its native resolution just fine.

I had to dl some drivers and stuff first though, but it wasn't too hard to figure out. And on some cards the programmers who made the drivers are retards and these options don't work correctly, like for me when i got my 8800 GTS. I haven't checked in driver updates tho, I'm kinda used to the widescreen SC now.

As for playing Starcraft in 16 : 9 and 16 : 10, it's not just that it looks bad - it plays inaccurately. When the picture is stretched horizontally, your cursor will move much faster horizontally than vertically. You can get used to it but you'll never reach the same level of precision as you could with the correct ratio. Personally, I got so sick of Stretchcraft that I bought a 2nd monitor - 15", 1024x768 (only $70). Now I have a good deal more desktop space, and whenever I want to play SC I just set the 15" as the main.

But to answer Zyrek, I guess it is a matter of preference. You will probably quickly figure out if the stretching is acceptable to you, and if not, you can probably set your monitor to show SC in 4:3. What graphics card do you use? Edit: 16: 9 instead of 16 ![]()

all I do when I change the environment, is some "calibration". thats what I hate so much about the Nintendo Wii, mostly only Player 1 can see the pointer on the screen and has the advantage of permanent "calibration".
