I've been meaning to do a shoot with Lomo since forever. Today I with the help of Mr.Lee from Hwaseung (Thank you for translating for me.) I got my 1400th (weird number, but whatever!) post shoot with a progamer whom quite a few people have professing to thinking is rather adorable/pretty (myself included.)
In person Joohung is every bit as cute as his photos suggest and he was shy, but cheerful during our shoot together today at Yongsan after Proleague. I'm happy to be able to share some over-sized edits today (the camera behaved for once!)
As a bonus I also photographed their fan meeting. I hope you enjoy the photos and comments really motivate me so feel free to leave some ^_~

I'm just pissed right now because I'm giving up my entire weekends to take these photos and 'creepy' and 'sickly' as words used to describe them makes me feel like shit as a photographer.

P.S. I am now less angry thanks to TL IRC. Still, don't come into my thread just to bitch about my photos. I'm sorry Lomo doesn't make you happy, but tough - he's all you're getting so next time keep your opinion to yourself and stop knocking my (tiny) level of self-confidence.

I wish it was that simple - basically I am not a Korean journalist. Therefore unless SCforALL.com organizes it I can't do outside shoots at locations other than PL. I get these solo shoots based upon asking permission and being a very, very polite girl. They're not guaranteed - although none of the coaches has ever said no (for which I am very grateful.) But I just don't have the abilities of Fomos or Fifo because they are established esports websites and I am one person working mainly freelance aside from my ties to the Korean site I work for and TL. I am incredibly lucky and grateful to have even these chances to photograph the gamers and events through the support of eSTRO, Kespa, OGN and MBC floor crew and the other journalists.
Also that's BeSt, but it's a gorgeous shot. The Fomos journalist who took it - Mr.Kang is my photography idol and a nice bloke.

Thanks - if you look at my first photos from back in April I've definitely improved (I hope!) I'm using the exact same equipment, but I began photoshopping them a while back and I've been playing round with simple techniques etc. I'm hoping when I swap to Canon the big differences will be apparent and I can get really creative without having to worry about lighting issues.
Yeah - Sangwoo is very, very pretty. He's got the most flawless skin I've ever seen on a progamer irl. He's rather quiet and composed, but I like him. Takes gorgeous photos which require next to no editing.

That's cool. Maybe that's the next step in the future. I think you definitely got an eye for these close up shots. Be it human or flowers

Sorry you felt it was an assault on your skills as a photographer, my comment was not intended as such. I like your photos actually, and regularly look at them.
But there's something about Lomos smile and tired eyes that makes him look more creepy than pretty to me. BackHo and JD are studs though. :D

Wow, step in the right direction by Hwaseung, making Jaedongs haircut the mandatory haircut on Oz; clutch play there. When Hiya's glasses get smashed for the sake of team utopia I get to say I called
Edit: If the opportunity arises, can you manage to get a picture of Jaedong giving Lomo a piggy back ride, or better yet, holding him over his head while Lomo pretends to be an airplane, I think that would be my screen saver for the rest of my life....great pictures btw

Yes, it was a formal photo shoot. I basically decided to go for a simple shoot focusing upon his face and nothing too complex.

Hmm. Lomo is probably the cutest progamer (if a guy can call another guy cute without it being demeaning ). For boyish looks I'd go for Ruby probably and for the more robust men I'd nominate Yellow for charisma and Reach for manly manliness!
Btw Backho really looks like a back ho with his lucious angelina jolie lips. If his pro gaming career doesn't work out he could allways go for cross dressing instead.
