You must have messed up your VAC settings. Unfortunately, Grobyc is the expert on that.
I can give you a little hint though: its not your cpu coolers thermal paste
why would you mention that lol

im using camtasia 5 now and have had a friend check all my settings and they are same as his. as i said earlier i have streamed playing other games than starcraft for example HoN and there is no lag or other issue.

Hi sry to make another post I got the video working, but I can't seem to change the sound. I am using vista so I'm not familiar with how to access the sound card. I thought it would be "Realtek Digital Input" but this doesn't seem to work when I test.
Also I think I might be getting the same lag issue that Haypro is getting, but I'm not an expert with computers so I don't want to fuck something up
Nevermind on the 2nd thing I think Digsby was causing lag issues.

check if you have that in game function on that stops Starcraft from using 100% CPU. Throttle something?

Enable CPU Throttling in your Starcraft in game Options -> Speed menu. This should help a lot.
You can also try messing around with the CPU Core affinities for Camtasia/FMLE/SC if you have a dual or quadcore processor.

Realtek Digital Input is a Digital Input port on your soundcard, to which you can connect external devices like for example a synthesizer or something.
You want Realtek HD Audio Input. It'll probably be set so that it takes microphone input at first, but you can change that in your recording sound device options in Vista.

I'm so embarrassed. If I just checked "show disabled devices" I would have seen the right one. I kept configuring the port lol... I should be good to go I got rejected for a stream I will persist them and send a msg to sonuvbob.
Thanks Rage

Hi everyone, I've recently started trying to set up my livestream, everything works except the resolution of recorded area reduces 4 times (it is set on 640*480, but viewers only see 320*240 area). I don't know what could be wrong, I tried many things. The FMLE input gets the right size area, I got isAutoLive=true set, I've got pretty much everything set. Tried to get some help from irc, but everything people adviced didn't solved my problem. Ok, so heres the photos of my settings:

Any tip or advice is greatly welcome, thanks.

alright, i (the guy with the same problem) found out that flash encoder sends nothing at all to livestream. the only thing showing up in the livestream studio is the camtasia cam, which i thought is the live encoder. :-|
camtasia and live encoder should work fine together, as the preview screen in the encoder is just fine. so i guess the connection between flash encoder and livestream must fail. i checked the fms url like 10 times, but it is right ...
also flash encoder says connecting works: Tue Oct 13 2009 20:00:18 : Primary - Connected to FMS/3,0,1,123 Tue Oct 13 2009 20:00:19 : Primary - Stream[livestream] Status: Success Tue Oct 13 2009 20:00:19 : Primary - Stream[livestream] Status: NetStream.Publish.Start Tue Oct 13 2009 20:00:19 : Session Started
but after starting via green button there is still nothing on my stream even though i have isAutoLive=true . upload can not be the problem. also at the studio there is still only the camtasia cam which somehow sticks to 320x240. there is no flash encoder cam or whatever.
when i look at the encoding statistics, there is neither any down- nor upload. bitrate 0 kbps. my encoding options are 100% as in the tutorial. i did only uncheck audio, as live encoder does not like my soundcard. however, this should not be the problem.
any idea?

Every single thing in the FMS url is case-sensitive. Are you sure you didnt write your channelname or livestream username with a wrong case? Or that you didn't switch them around?
The resolution problem isn't your problem, it's just because you tried to encue to wrong feed. It's the connection to livestream that should have some mistake. So he says the stream connects, but your bitrate remains zero?
Is that all your log is picturing?

i have a problem

You need a good computer to be able to stream, what can I say? Try lowering the bitrate and messing around with the compression options.

yes, he says connection success as copy/pasted above, but bitrate is stays at 0 everywhere. this is the whole log, there is nothing coming after that. i did also try to turn off my firewall, but no change.
i did even create a 2nd account, in case i messed up something at my first registration. still does not work.
someone who got this to work please try my fms url and give me feedback if it works for him to help me finding the problem:

You probably downloaded the wrong version. LiveStream has the Flash Media Servers, you don't need it.
